This phone is still awesome 4 years later and I'm talking about after some extremely heavy use. I haven't had any system updates in a couple of years. I think it's MAX'd out. I still get compliments and curious observations.
HTC was right about the demand for larger screens. Now my Max is small compared to the phones on the market in 2018. Battery is still powerfull, screen's in good shape and the dual front speakers still blast away. The earbud audio sound quality is premium. I got lucky when I chose this device.
I bought my HTC 2,5years ago... I still feel like it really worth the money, those devices are the rolls-royce of cellphones :D

I love big phones. I currently have the Mega and I love it. I had the Skyrocket - Note 2. I love the mega because of the large display. I been researching the One Max and I been considering it.

I've had my HTC One Max for about 3 months and it performs very well. Has some great features. I bought it as a second phone to function both as a phone and to have the very high quality screen and some tablet like experience. The camera is tricky but it's a good device. Very solid and high end feeling. I also have fairly large hands and have large pockets. It is pretty good side. You did give it a good and fair review. The reason I got it is it was quite literally the biggest phone at the Verizon Store.
Can someone tell me what those 3 holes on the bottom right of the back cover are?
Still gonna buy it , I have the desire 816 and i can't afford the M8 so I'm getting the one max , the price has gone down like crazy

Visiting from the future on a Galaxy flip 3. Loved this phone back in the day.
Got the opportunity to use one back then. Big phone, great screen, underrated experience. Ultimately obsoleted by a lack of additional models (and I think it was one of the last “old tech” phones before they all jumped to 64-bit arm technology… I think). Still… I wish I had one.

iSay you get the HTC One Max. Most iPhone users don't like the bloat of Android devices which Samsung is all in for, and I've seen stories where iPhone users go back to Apple after using a Samsung device. Get the One. It might be the One.

As for the phone, I have big hands and pockets so I could get into it. Could use a few bumps in some of the specs (my current device is a pantech burst that has a 5mp camera).

I just picked one up today and this is my first phablet phone I've been wanting a bigger phone because I do watch a lot of videos and movies and brows the web a lot on my phone so I wanted to try a bigger device. Can't wait for this phone to get 4.4 kitkat

Definitely the type of phone I've been looking for. Fast, big, and loud not to mention long battery life. I will b picking this up on my next upgrade for sure

Thank you very much for the video. I have walked into two sprint stores and looked at the HTC one (The original). The biggest problem that i had with the phone is the fact that it did not have the micro sd card slot. Big turn off sense i would have to backup my phone to my computer and have to transfer all my music to the phone it self. The rest of the phone was fine. Hearing those features taken away is a surprise to me. But the phone still goes a long way from the first version.
Have HTC one and don't regret it it's been up against many phones this year and even rooted a great phone can't wait for HTC 2 hopefully and kit Kat for this device
I just bought the maxx with Sprint & I fell in love with it when I saw it at Sprint, gt it home & couldn't b happier ....can't wait to c people staring, I prefer a heavier phone btw all these light ones I feel like I'm going to break, nt sure bout battery life yet (gonna wait till I fully charge it & use it for a coupla days , love one feature (nt sure if it's in all androids but hidden) emoticons btr than the iPhone I say honestly. Ugh I could go on, only thing I need help with is figuring out how to make it a usb drive, can access memory card but nt internal, any help would b grearmy appriciated

My HTC One Max is on its way, and as a current owner of a Moyotola Droid Razr Maxx and a heavy daily user, I went with the One Max soley for battery purposes, because one you are used to laughing in everyone's face for their phone dying conatantly, you don't want to be one of those people anymore. The screen size won't affect me any because I have large hands unlike the person doing the review, who appeared to have pretty small hands. Which I am actually looking forward to a larger screen and dual front facing speakers, because I drive a Semi and sometimes my phone is all the entertainment I have before I hop up in the sleeper.
How much is it? Without contract and please do a comparison between this and note 3
My friends like HTC one very much,recently they told me there's a smartphone named OrientPhone S6 , very similar with HTC one , also has the function of air gesture, but i do not know if is run well than HTC one?

What was the first game called?
this is an amazing phone/tablet....the fingerprint security feature is great. i had several coworkers try to get into it without success. the front facing speakers are awesome to a musichead like me. its going to take an extraordinary device to get me to move off this phablet.
Is this still a good phone ? I have a 5s right now and I want something bigger but I don't want to spend as much money

well price wise, you shouldn't get the max then maybe a nexus 6
the one max is very cheap now, but outclassed by other phablets.
give a comparison between the one max and the z ultra and even the note 3 vs z ultra

Good review as always. The phone looks great but just a little to big and heavy. My note 2 was gonna get replaced by this or the note 3 but neither one wows me. Hopefully 4.3 update will make it enjoyable till next year offerings..
Why you don't include XPERIA Z ULTRA in size comparisons?
I was one of those people that said, "this needs to be bigger". I like it.
loving the idea of phablets, I bought the galaxy note 1 when it first came out, and needless to say it was a fantastic experience. however, after nearly two years of usage, its earphone jack broke, and ive always thought the phone was too plastic, so I decided to try the one max, despite weak reviews like you know, everywhere. the premium build of the one max really did stand up to expectations, the boomsound speakers are just in a class of its own and the camera is pretty good too (given you're okay with a slightly lower megapixel than peers). BUT, being an owner of both samsung's and htc's 1st phablet, I would say samsung easily nailed it more, there are just so much Samsung has to offer, with the likes of the s-pen right down to its multitasking ability, so if I were to choose again, I'd probably have gone with note 3. but hey, everyone is on note 3 now in the city, so it's nice to have something different!
I've been using it since a week and so far is the best phone ever made. Is big but I simply love it. You'll get used to it (especially when you watch videos and play games), now I look a other devices and i feel shame for them when I think how small they are. This beast is simply made for multimedia and browsing on internet. it's a zero lag phone. It doesn't need 3 gb of ram or a 800 processor is just simply amazing how fast it is, I've always wanted an HTC one and this one was the perfect match for me. The build quality is amazingly sturdy and sleek is like an Ipad (only good gadget from Apple) and the HTC sense is so simple to use and the minimalistic styling makes it more comfortable to the eye. The finger print reader works really good and the Ultra pixel camera is a way to go when you want nice shots at night. HTC one Max definitely best phone ever.

I've had the HTC one max for about two weeks now & , must say, I love it. I just left the HTC rezound in the hopes of finding a "much" larger phone with just the right amount of background and play things & without all the bloatware...& no, it's not really meant to be used one handed,,,by most.
will u share an experience with me about the one max . i will buy soon but in malaysia not lunch yet . if u dun mind . send private video of ur onemax about connecting the 3.5audio jack with high end home theater it best with beataudio or without . :) thank

I love the phone, it's enormous and definitely took some getting used to but it's awesome!!
Seems like a great multimedia device. most of my daily use is media consumption and reading which makes this a perfect fit.

I guess I was one of the people asking for this phone but I did think think it would have the 800 processor and maybe a better camera. I am glad that it has an SD card slot though! That's awesome!

Great use of Psy Trance music in the background! Please never stop doing that and I shall stay a happy subscriber! All the other reviews use the worst most boring dull background music, puts you to sleep before the review is over.

my carrier doesnt have the max and when I got my phone I really needed another one and the note fit my bill
Like several other outlets, we used the device for seven days under a press embargo. This is fairly standard practice; we've done it quite a few times before. ^MF
Its definitely for me!!! The only thing I use my phone for is Games,RUclips,and Music...I'm already use to carrying my nexus 7 in my pocket at all times so the size won't bother me at all..
