I miss being over there with my squad! It's the last time I have felt alive inside. I have just a big numb void in my chest now and old memoriesI can't get out of my head. I wanted to come home so bad after every deployment, but now I understand the brothers in my squad are my real family and I would give anything to be back with them over there. There were a lot of bad times, but good times also, which usually came out when we were completely miserable. We were miserable, but together and everyone saw it the same way and that's when the humor and jokes would fly, and it raised your spirit. After awhile it wasn't that bad, because we had each other and some of the things we saw were so surreal! God I miss it! I never thought I would, but those memories always bring a smile to my face. Time marches on and I have learned to except that. I'm more alone than ever, but I take meaning out of my solitude and have learned to make it my strength! A part of me will forever will be back there in such a unforgiving and non sympathetic part of the world. Over there the sun rises and sets and stops for no one. No war, no tragedy, no pain, no death. It just keeps going and nobody even notices! ALL THE WAY! AIRBORNE! H-MINUS 82ND AIRBORNE 1-505TH CHARLIE COMPANY 1ST PLATOON 2ND SQUAD! I love you guys forever!
Right now my unit is training for a possible deployment in 2013. If my time comes to go, I will not be afraid because this is why I signed up and took the oath.
everyday that I see my flag helps ease my mind knowing that my fallen brothers live on. my tears will never stop falling. I carry all of your memories with me each day. I pray that your peace has been found and I love you! 101st Airborne lead the way!!
Although I haven't been deployed myself, I know what its like to be under combat stress. When I came home from training, I looked at everything different. Some people shook their heads at me and others ask me if I enjoy working for a crappy government and stealing their money. I am proud to wear the uniform of a US Army Soldier and I will put my life on the line to keep this country, as well as all my loved ones who live here, safe from harm.
Proud of our soldiers if it wasnt for certain waviers i did as a 18yr old i would love to serve and i would be there with many of my brothers and sisters in arms

My family have served in all 5 branches. All of them are in my thoughts and prayers. My soldier is so far away. I miss him so much but he is doing a job of protecting us here back home. I miss him so much but I understand. I love you babe.

I'm stoked to join the army. I'm working my way up to Rangers. I graduate 2015 and the day I turn 18 I'm enlisting. It sucks OEF is gonna end by then so I wont see some action. Although if we make a move on Iran I might be able to see some. My brother, Dad, and pretty much my whole male side of my dads family have been fighting for this country dating back to the civil war. Fightings in my blood. Hooah
