Manny’s fatal flaw was his impatience. It’s foreshadowed earlier on. When Abby goes to wait in line for food, Manny just doesn’t wait and instead jumps the queue. Here, if you go to the shutters, he suggests going around to ambush Tommy, but even then after a few pushes on the door, he easily gives up and says “screw it” before backing out and exposing himself for the headshot.
the way i saw it, Tommy played them by making them think he was retreating into the adjacent room before doubling back and going on the offensive. Something they wouldn't expect a cornered sniper to do.
Joel was at least killed in Jackson, was buried by close friends and was remembered. Manny on the other hand was killed in an unknown building, completely alone and was forgotten just like all of Abby's friends. Never mess with the Miller family, not even Ellie
Joel was first betrayed and brutally shot, then he was beaten to death while the people closest to him watched it happen, he was then spat on and cursed. Manny died a painless death, not even alone and im sure Abby and all his other still alive friends will remember him.

The only way they can redeem themselves is by making TLOU 3 with Tommy as a protagonist and with Ellie coming to her senses and desiring revenge again. It's the two of them(just like Joel & Ellie in the 1st) vs the 200 fireflies from whose skirts Abby is hiding.

I don't know, but maybe this isn't revenge they're after, but maybe the fireflies attack Jackson for some reason and it's up to Ellie and Tommy to defend it. Why did Abby make it to the fireflies base as you can see in the title screen after you beat the game and WHY IS TOMMY STILL ALIVE AFTER A FUCKING HEADSHOT? As much as I disliked playing as Abby, and even though I was ultimately rooting for Tommy here, this was a highlight of the game for me. Tommy was the perfect character to face off against and it was so cool to come to the sudden realization of “Holy shit this is Tommy!”. It was very well executed and it worked in all the ways the boss fight with Ellie did not. I felt far too protective of Ellie to feel anything other than resentment for having to go through with it.
Tommy is a pure badass!!! Make some DLC playing as Tommy and his revenge path.. Love it, give me what I want!! GIVE ME WHAT I WANT. When this sniper scene happened I'd almost forgot about Tommy being "the sniper" in a quick conversation earlier in in the game. So it was a WTF moment watching Tommy gun down manny and almost killing abby.. So satisfying!!

Most badass scene in the game. The music, shot predictions, and then sneaking up on Manny while walking so calmly. No wonder why he was able to survive in Seattle for a long time, dude knew what he was doing.
They do Tommy so well for the entire game (other than the fact that he easily would’ve gotten Abby here, while she’s moving through the building) and then they totally assassinate his character at the end when he guilts Ellie into another suicide mission (literally the opposite of what he did the entire game). He never would do that, and they’re the ones who convince you of that.

I wish there had been more moments of Abby hearing about the chaos Ellie and the rest of the trespassers where creating. Like Nora or some other Wolf could have mentioned Jordan's death for example when Abby was at the hospital. I don't think Manny just saying ''Fuck these trespassers.They are hitting us hard!'' put into perspective how much damage Ellie&Co caused to the WLF.

How convenient that one-handed minion had materialized out from thin air to save the day in a balcony where no one else than Tommy was, in a bridge that Tommy had been guarding like a hunting hawk for days without spotting a stumbling starving ill conditioned Yara. Manny’s fatal flaw was his impatience. It’s foreshadowed earlier on.
When Abby goes to wait in line for food, Manny just doesn’t wait and instead jumps the queue. Here, if you go to the shutters, he suggests going around to ambush Tommy, but even then after a few pushes on the door, he easily gives up and says “screw it” before backing out and exposing himself for the headshot.

the way i saw it, Tommy played them by making them think he was retreating into the adjacent room before doubling back and going on the offensive. Something they wouldn't expect a cornered sniper to do.

As much as I disliked playing as Abby, and even though I was ultimately rooting for Tommy here, this was a highlight of the game for me. Tommy was the perfect character to face off against and it was so cool to come to the sudden realization of “Holy shit this is Tommy!”. It was very well executed and it worked in all the ways the boss fight with Ellie did not. I felt far too protective of Ellie to feel anything other than resentment for having to go through with it.

They do Tommy so well for the entire game (other than the fact that he easily would’ve gotten Abby here, while she’s moving through the building) and then they totally assassinate his character at the end when he guilts Ellie into another suicide mission (literally the opposite of what he did the entire game). He never would do that, and they’re the ones who convince you of that.

I hope there's a part 3 and that it's much better than 2. Otherwise part 2 is just a terrible ending for everyone it's soo depressing
I love how they dehumanized Tommy in this scene. It's quite similar to Anton Chigurh when he's hunting Llewelyn.

Tommy killed manny with a precision headshot to the eye and nearly had the shot on abby WHILE WALKING SIDEWAYS if Ellie was there shooting with Tommy then the game would be over
