Excellent Total Recall reference with the Slaughter Sport intro! Wasn't sure if I was going to stick around after Dave left, but the Sack is just as good as ever. Keep it up, Joe!
Slaughter Sport was actually released by Activision in Japan, as FATMAN. I imported this back in 1990,for my Genesis. I paid $80, and while I found it tough at first I stuck with it. Unlocking new characters via inputted button presses was a really neat idea. Once you started unlocking some of the other characters it became much more fun. You can actually beat the game as Rex if you practice a bit. I have to admit this is one of my favorite games on the Mega Drive/Genesis, and I am 100% serious. The thing that makes it fun is to play Mondu vs Mondu as a 2 player Vs. game. It became a classic between my friends and I. So much so that we've gotten together to play it for nearly 25 years straight. We've dubbed this "The FATMAN Tournament". The game has a hard time dealing with how 2 Mondu's react with one another. Since he can score a one hit kill if he lands on you, a match will sometimes end in less than a second with the right starter move! Combine this with slow motion, freeze, oil slick and other power-ups and hilarity ensues. Sometimes the other player will fumble with inputting the character code (must be playing the Mega Drive FATMAN version) before the fight and will be forced to fight Mondu with Rex... But..if they beat Mondu with Rex this beings shame upon the player with and they must pay the other player $5. Those are the rules. Go ahead and create your own FATMAN Tournament with your friends. It's a good time I promise.
Superman 64 was so bad I took it back the next day for trade in on something else!I think Superman Shadow of Apokolips was alot better than the Superman 64.I think the best Superman I've played was in the arcades?
@CAPCOM784 No idea.. I never bothered to play the N64 Superman. The one from Sunsoft on the Genesis/Mega Drive didn't look too bad. It seemed to be very similar to their Batman game. (Many of the same sound fx, HUD graphics, etc..).

The worst part is that the first one or two barrels you can get through by jumping at the right moment to give the barrel momentum. So you think that's the way the mechanic works, until the third barrel where that trick doesn't work anymore and you get completely stuck. Carnival Night Zone was the first Sonic stage ever where I died because of the 10-minute time limit.
It's really weird for me how some people have problems with that. When you jump over the barrels they start swinging up and down, it feels kinda obvious that you should use up and down to match the momentum just like any other game where you are swinging on a rope and must use left/right to go higher. I was 10 years old when Sonic 3 came out and had zero issues with that, I only realized that people had problems with that on RUclips comments.
I I acutally learned how to get past that after 10ish years of me just going up and down just so I could spin dash underneath it. From an animated comedy skit that explained how it worked.
I'm not gonna lie, even forgetting that barrel, Sonic 3 was pretty unfinished with numerous bugs in the game. Including one particular nasty one Sega even handwaved in the manual.
@@Gladson it doesn't make amy sense, since up and down ate never used that way in the games, and there isn't even feedback given to the player, if Sonic at least crouched. It makes no visual sense that Sonic's influencing the barrel, cause we never see him do anything.
