This has become one of my favourite videos of all time for the following reason: I tried to keep it short but I just couldn't cut any more out. Hope you give it a read since I just had to let this go. At least it's something that stuck with me. Spoiler Warning: Vinny reacting to the dog ending, shown immediately after the "leave" ending is something to live by. The real ending was incredibly depressing and it hits really hard. Vinny's silence throughout Mary's letter is kind of devastating and hearing him talk about experiences over the course of the credits is just plain disheartening. A lot of people can find themselves in James' situation and hearing Vinny kind of give in and admit that eventually this is mostly what there might be to life just didn't leave me cold. Maybe some of you who watched even remembered personal experiences and shed a tear or two. Right after, the editor cuts in the scene that Binyot missed in his playthrough and it´s a scenario that is way too real, even for the rest of the game. It's that you're still trying to comprehend what you saw and what you're feeling and all of a sudden the dog ending comes up and you hear Vinny laugh. I'm not sure if it's just me but in that first laugh you can hear so much relief on his side. His contageous laugh kinda cheers you up. It feels like someone who's close to you makes you laugh while wiping the tears off your cheek. It's just going back to some good old lighthearted sillyness with our favourite italian boi that simply exists because of how the video has been cut (intentional or not). This moment feels really wholesome considering the impact it had on me personally and that's why it stuck with me. Life might really suck and you will miss people along the way. But there's always the ones around you. If it's a relative, a friend, or someone like the binyot that you watch online... It's more than ok to mourn and grief but it'll never be what the person who's been lost would have wanted for you long term. Cherish, enjoy and hold on to the moments you have with the one's you enjoy to be with. As small and silly as they might be. I hope I could make clear what I love about the montage at the end. It´s hard to get the feelings this conveys to me into words, especially when english is not your native language. But I just had to thank the editor for editing it together the way they did. The entire stream was incredibly enjoyable and for the mentioned reason alone this Best-of supercut has become one of my favourite videos/scenes of all time. "lusty for that crusty" 10/10
Eddie is ready.
As much as I do love watching him play this, it does suck whenever streamers play games like this and read the chat, which is just people dumping misinformation and weird fan-theories on to them. It's really obnoxious.
Not to mention all the butthurt people in chat screeching at him to "TAEK TEH GAEM SRSLY DAMMIT" for the grave crime of making a small joke here and there...you know, something Vinny's _always been known to do,_ and is in fact kinda popular _for_ doing...
good thingo he hadnt playo undertail
People who managed to get through this video game and still think on the garbage-water level of "canon" and "lore" and "fan theory" are beyond help. This game doesn't cure cancer but at the very least, as this medium's _The Turn of the Screw,_ it should cure the player of all three of those mental diseases by the time the end credits roll.
@@thethrashyone I have to imagine those people sat down to watch Vinny play this game just filled with anxiety and stress and carefully prepped frustration for when he inevitably cracked a joke. They had to be just gripping their Care Bear pillows to their chests. And, like... the people who made this game put in an ending where it turns out a cute dog did it.
i cant help it, i keep looking up peoples playthrough of this game. im so happy binyot got to enjoy it spoiler free, god i wish that were me. but even though i knew the twist, seeing it was still a punch in the gut, thats how amazing this game is.
Vinny has such amazing timing with the Pyramid Head encounters.
fun fact: the voice of Angela (Donna Burke) voices the iDroid in MGSV
I mean... Donna Burke sings the theme song of the entire game, around which MGSV's promotional campaign and thus record-breaking early sales were built, but uh yeah she also recorded like 10 seconds of heavily processed single-word lines for the robot
She also sings Snaker Eater!
@@digital_fairy actually she just did a cover of it, I don't blame you getting for confused tho since Cynthia Harrell and her sound similar, oh btw Cynthia Harrell also sang the credits song to symphony of the night!
I hope someone told Vinny to go look up Akira Yamaoka after he was through all this. Guy is a freaking genius
the fact i never truly got to appreciate everything this game had to offer when it first came out disappoints me. But man vinny, you gave me the nostalgic feeling to revisit this game. I love it, and after events in my life that truly made me feel shit at its bleakest I can truly appreciate this game at its core. Thanks for the memories man, it just makes me look back and smile more!
This has become one of my favourite videos of all time for the following reason:
I tried to keep it short but I just couldn't cut any more out. Hope you give it a read since I just had to let this go. At least it's something that stuck with me.
Spoiler Warning:
Vinny reacting to the dog ending, shown immediately after the "leave" ending is something to live by.
A huge and honest thank you to the creator.
I'm so glad Vinny played this game. My favorite horror game of all time.
I keep coming back to this, I just love how much he likes the game.
Also, Vinny dreaming about forgetting a locker combination so often means that he's unsure about how you feel in a situation. Just something interesting to add.
no.
dreams don't always have a meaning.
i dream very gory stuff but i don't like extreme gore.
@@duroorud527 dreaming gory stuff doesn't automatically mean you like gore. it could mean something else. Dreaming about locker combinations doesn't mean you like lockers
@@deffdefying4803 like what?
@@duroorud527 Sorry, I'm not a psychoanalyst or a psychiatrist. I have no idea.
@@duroorud527 Dreams don't always have "meaning", but they do always have a reason. It could be something in passing through the day, something you've been thinking or worried about, or even something from deeper in the subconscious. It doesn't have to be some greater truth, but there is a reason for your dreams. As for analyzing them, you know your mind better than anyone else ever can. You just need to start thinking about how you think, and asking where your thoughts come from. As you start tracing things back, you'll begin to understand who you are underneath your impulses. That's the Jungian approach to analysis.
video tends to get dysynced in the last third. around 2:40:12 onwards.
Yeah I noticed that after it rendered :// i have no FUCking idea why that happened,
@@vinhighlights5456 will you be able to ever fix that?
or are you willing to?
I always love coming back to this comp. It captures all of the good moments, and then some.
I forgot how depressing this game was
Did you
@@MegaZeta
It's pretty easy to, actually.
It's a game _about_ depression (among other things), so naturally you tell yourself 'this game is depressing'.
Thinking that and _feeling_ it are two very different experiences.
was?
I'll forever wonder what Kojima's crazy writing and Del Toro's amazing character design would have brought us. I love this damn game so much.
Would have been a complete master piece if yamaoka was in charge of the soundtrack
IMO those guys were both bad picks for Silent Hill as a series; whatever else they have going for them, they're both pretty immature
They had Junji Ito and some OG Team Sioent members aswell. Truly a damn shame.
@@MegaZeta Yeah, I'm glad it fell through. I didn't feel they could do it any justice, and PT just felt like Resident Evil 7 with some mind-screw. That isn't what Silent Hill is to me.
@@CosmicWaltz7 I’m sorry… did you seriously just compare a goofy and campy resident evil to the terrifying mind-bending and intense pt gameplay? Did you actually claim the best writers and artists in the genre wanting to recreate this games energy was a bad thing??? In compared to what? Losing the franchise forever? Congrats. Your the only shills on the planet who are happy we lost this masterpiece of a series. Glad people like you can shill a company that corrupt, so easily.
Every time I hear James say "Mary died of that damn disease" I make the most disgusted face
death disorder
(a fatal case)
Pillow overdose
Was it tuberculosis?
Or Lumbago?

a *PLAN*
James., the damned disease~ Poor guy.
Who the fuck chose to watch Vinny play this game and start whining that he's cracking jokes? Why are they still there? Just to suffer?
Thank you *so much,* I was literally about to sit down and make a compilation tonight until I found this. Awesome work, loved this playthrough 👍
thank YOU!! that was a very nice comment to read :>
@@vinhighlights5456 I was also just about to comment here and say how great this compilation is. I've played the full video a couple times now as background & haven't gotten tired of it; you did a really great job on it!!
Highly underrated hightlight
That intro he watches at the beginning of the last part gives me the chills.I love Laura's theme.
I did not expect to watch this whole stream, but I'm glad I did.
2:18:30 I find it fucking hilarious that James' enters a room of bugs, and instead of just stepping on them, he fucking swings his bat around then starts shooting them. Imagine if pest control handled all their cases like this.
sielnt hi ll
it sure is man
Silent he'll

Just me, or is James's shadow Harry Mason @ 2:45:05?
It does look like they used Harry's model
Who REALLY died that day? And who came back?
It depends
give him some sauce scoot
Norm's moth joke is absolutely amazing
Spoilers for the end but...
"I will Always Love You." Fucking hell that hit me deep. That ending alone is a fantastic piece of media, but to be included in such an extraordinarily atmospheric and psychologically engrossing game is a wonder in and of itself.
why do I get the puking scene every goddamn time I eat wtf silent hill
That's your personal silent Hill.
@@lasarousi bitch one time I got it while I was extremely hangover *that* was my personal silent hill alright I almost died
this game is sentient I swear to god
i know, right? i was heating up a slice _just_ as that scene came up
You're wondering why playing this game that's only a few hours long at hardest difficulty, or watching an even more condensed highlight reel of it, has you running across the same scene every single time?
@@MegaZeta The point was that the puking scene always seems to come up *while OP is eating*
Don't be an ass.
James will for ever be Jamie.
Jame
beginning music sounds like Zelda TP as Vinny said. The Twilight realm theme from TP sounds very similar.
It took me years to understand what that table monster and the room meant, mostly what that table was.
Maybe because that's not a table, at least in my eyes.
@@lasarousi yeah, its acually a rape scene of Angela and her father/brother and the whole room is themed around.
Its stil a mystery what the 21 holes mean but thinking thats how many times she experience this makes sense.
@@YuubiTimberwolf I think it's not necessarily the amount of times, but the act repeating itself so many times in her head, just the act of penetration in and of itself is what represents the neatly ordered pistons on a higher point of the walls. The room is her own mind suffocating her daily.
Or what I used to think, it's the amount of years it took to overcome her fear of her dad when she finally kills it with the tv and kicks it. But I think she is younger than 21 in the game, but who knows she is already dead for many years before James arrived.
Game's great tho.

Yesss! Been looking forward to a megacut for Awhile. Thanks sooooo much!
Vinesauce actually being serious for once like this is pretty nice to see.
Eh
@@MegaZeta jesus christ why are you replying to literally every single comment just to be a negative contrarian prick
Probably someone very passionate about the game and well inversed in the game's lore. But let's just say, that passion is worded poorly, so just tone it back a little, eh?
The end fucking hurts me, considering the fact that the protagonists name is James coupled with the conversation that he and Mary had while she was in the hospital dying of most likely cancer, was very similar to how conversations started to go between me and my mother as she deteriorated day by day before she eventually died, love your parents everyone.
3:49:13 Vinny freak out from random disembodied voice “Who the f are you?!” lol
"In Silent Hill 5..." oh Vinnie... they do actually go into Pyramid Head's origin in that game and it's almost as bad as what he said.
Technically it's the creation of A Pyramid Head (i.e. one particular, singular PH) -and its the result of a Bad Ending. Who knows where the O.G. Pyramid Heads (the at least 2 separate ones we see in this one) came from.
Isn't the whole idea of silent hill that it's some sort of personalized hell? How would something born from a guy's psyche have an origin? Or have I completely misunderstood what the series is?
@@329link You got it right. But Pyramid Head is too famous. He was in at least one of the movies too. Don't remember them too well. Because brand recognition
This game freaks me out in a good way.
I love the dark atmosphere,
Also, I’d like to point out that most of the samples in in the music are from a sample CD called “Distorted Reality” By Spectrasonics.
Why do i keep rewatching this !?
_well that made me really upset_
Wow, that ending letter fucking destroyed me. Glad you edited this together.
it's telling when vinny goes quiet for a long time

Laura is going to get called back to Silent Hill and end up constantly locked in rooms with keys stolen from her.
It’s gonna be the whole Alessa/Cheryl adventure again.

The year is 2021. The world is a chaotic mess. And I am sitting here, laughing until I cannot breathe, tears streaming down my face, at Vinny bonking Pyramid Head over the back of the helmet with a wooden plank like he was trying to shoo a raccoon with a broom.
While there’s no lore reason to why pyramid head wears that helmet, the monster designer said he made it that way because he wanted to make it look painful to wear. Sorry for making you find out Vinny
