I wanted to make a video about a house targaryen but i'm not sure of the result. Since there's not a lot of footage of the house i used the animated serie HBO made to tell the pre-got history, and i hope it doesn't look weird. As for Jon Snow aka Aegon Targaryen i didn't put him as much as dany for multiple reasons: he was raised as a stark (bastard), he thinks he's a stark bastard, he has the education of a stark (bastard), while dany was raised as a targaryen and carried it throughout the show. It's not the same as Theon "you're a stark and you're a greyjoy" imo, because theon knew about his heritage and his family and grew up for some part of his life with it, not Jon, only Ned knew. Also I'm making a house stark fanvid and he is EVERYWHERE. So we'll see how the character will take his newly found heritage, but for me he is a Stark. But still, he has targaryen blood and it was a big reveal in the show so I put him. Tell me what you think of it.

The frightened child who sheltered in my manse died on the Dothraki sea, and was reborn in blood and fire. This dragon queen who wears her name is a true Targaryen.
Even names of Targaryens are highly unusual and Attractive! The sound of them is NEW and musical. The combination of sounds stirs something in your heart that is difficult to put in words.
danerys is a common name in some parts of the world. i know a few, but to americans its exotic
Sure Jon might be the rightful heir as so many like to claim, but I feel like some often overlooked that it is Daenerys who brought house Targaryen back from the ashes when it was all but beaten down and destroyed not Jon nor Viserys it was her who made house Targaryen a force to be reckoned with once again and made the name Targaryen truly mean something again and kept them in the game.

I see your point but it's kinda not fair Jon never even knew he was targaryen he's been to busy fighting the dead to even care about the throne but it was him who brought the north back together the similarities between the two are incredible I think they both would be great rulers.

If Daenerys Dies- then NOTHING makes sense! What made this saga/ show so attractive is Dragons and the Magic Of Targaryens. Oh, well, and the Night King, of course. I will be DEVASTATED!!! if Targaryens and Dragons disappear!

Maybe that’s what attracted you but not everyone was too blinded by dragons to see how Dany’s story was going to end.
Her journey towards tyranny was a 100% more compelling than the flip side.

People think that her Dragons are the only thing that makes Daenerys special but to me it's not she worked so hard to get to where she is, if she was power hungry like people say she could've just sailed to westeros a long time ago but she didn't she stayed behind to make sure the ones she freed remained free.
Jon and Daenerys are just amazing they always put others before themselves... I hope both of them survive in game of thrones but we all know that's just a dream.

I still do not recognize Jon to be a Targaryen and I never will., yes he might be blood but he broke House Targaryen when he pushed Daenerys over the edge. Daenerys brought her doomed house back from the verge of death and raised it to be as or more powerful than House Lannister and House Tyrell combined. The Mother of Dragons deserved the throne by birth and by conquest. I absolutely justify her actions on the burning of Kings Landing because she was broken from Tyrion sending Viserion to the slaughter house and later be reanimated and forcefully fight against Daenerys, Rhaegal dying at the hands of Euron Greyjoy, Missandei being killed by the Lannisters, Mormont dying with honour as he defended his Queen and Jon, who shattered her mental state when he refused to be intimate and therefore giving Daenerys paranoia. Jon is a Stark to me and I hope House Stark perishes.

Their love is NOT forbidden. At least according to Valerian and Targaryen traditions. It is NORMAL. Martin describes that it was very common for VAlerians and Targaryens to marry within their own family to keep a pure blood line.

Very few Targeryans were probably mad. Some may have been Ruthless or unworthy but many just tried doing the best they could at the point in time they lived.
I just came across this tribute to the Targaryens. Very good job!I’m thankful for the book fire and blood to have a better understanding of the Targaryens. The possibilities are endless with this great house. Keep on writing George. Even though we all want a winds of winter. I’m happy with any game of thrones book he releases.

I find it problematic to say that ALL Targaryens were mad, everything they did was done by other houses as well but only they are mad? Daenerys burned Kings Landing and Cersei burned the Sept.
Kill people? Did they all kill, kill innocent people? All of them killed, all houses! So why always blame the Targaryens? It sucks that they ended up with such a good character, and an extraordinary house since many other houses in the seven kingdoms do MUCH WORSE (recalling the red wedding)

Jon Snow hasn't done squat to earn that throne. Dany has fought for it so its hers because she conquers & builds leaving things better than she found them. Jon, truth be told, is a neer do well--failing at most of his undertakings. Jon has no political skill. He expects to get the throne based on inheritance? He would make a reluctant king. Jon doesn't care for thrones & power. Dany is like, Aegon she will reconquer & restore the 7 kingdoms which, have been ruined & ravaged under Baratheon & Lannister rule. The dragons will burn Jon since he has no bond with them. His having part Targaryen blood will not make the dragons obey. A dragon is not a slave. Dany's dragons have bonded with her since they hatched from their eggs. Another fact, to understand is that the Targaryens are Valerian and as such the female side can also inherit the throne. It was the law in Old Valeria & the Targaryens kept those customs long after the 7 kingdoms were conquered. "Rheanys & Visenya also helped conquer the 7 Kingdoms, it wasn't just Aegon alone" Areya Stark knows her stuff. . Targaryen women are strong and equal to their men as it was in Old Valeria.

To me Jon embracing his Targaryen heritage will be a big part of Season 8 and our view of him needs to change with that. The reason he's still alive where Robb and Ned are both dead to me is because of his Targaryen heritage making him more adaptable and open minded then they were. So I look forward to him legitimately becoming both a Targaryen and a Stark in the future.
KrimzonStriker I'll be glad to see Jon embracing his Targaryen side and heritage and have another Targaryen but for now I'm sorry I don"t see it. I don't think being open minded is something he got from being Targaryen but more from being a bastard, an outcast. Also he didn't carried the name and the difficult backstory that comes with it like Daenerys did (who was exiled and almost killed multiple times just because of it). He grew up as a Stark, a Stark bastard and this is in my opinion what influenced him the most; and it's not a bad thing (I'm going to do a House Stark fanvid like this one and he'll be very present). But when he'll knew he's a Targaryen that'll certainly be different.
Err, I didn't mean not having prejudices when I said open minded, I meant open-minded to new ideas and being able to adapt to changing situations.

Hmm, most of it was alright though in the second half I think it wasn't so much the lack of Jon as it was the missed opportunity to parallel a lot of Dany's ordeals to Jon's owns in order to show how similar they both are. Could have also used more Rhaegar commentary as well, especially the stuff from Barristan about him in both the show and the lore videos.
KrimzonStriker Yeah I want to make a video about only Jon and Dany (not romantically) to really parallel the two, it would have made the video longer and i really wanted to be about the House Targaryen i didn't want to focus too much on solely Dany (although i kinda did unintentionally). For Rhaegar, I completely agree, I thought about it after ward but my video was almost complete. It'll be on my mind for my next Targaryen fanvid ! Thank you for the feedback
