There's no way a Prince would put the same name on both his sons, he would have named Jon as Aegor, Daemon, Daeron, Jaehaerys, or even Arthur, since it was pretty common for people to name their son's after their best friend, like Egg named his son Duncan in homage to Duncan the Tall, like Robb was named in homage to Robert Baratheon, and Jon himself was named in homage to Jon Arryn... (Yep, if you people don't know, Arthur Dayne was Rhaegar Targaryen best friend, they where close like brothers, in fact, Rhaegar was close to all the Kingsguard members, with exception of Jaime since he was new to the brotherhood, but Arthur was his most trusted friend according to Barristan Selmy and Jon Connington, both great friends of the Last Dragon too, who knew him well). but noooo, Rhaegar would put both his son's of almost the same age as Aegon, of course, it makes every sense in the world ( Irony)
