I was very scared to pressure can items also! My sister talked me through it over the phone. I am going to try this soup because it looks delicious! Thank you for a great video!!
Love your videos. I live in the UK. I am wondering where you got your pressure canner from your help this matter would be much appreciated if you could comment back
Is pressure canning similar to cooking in a stove top pressure cooker? I’ve cooked with my presto pressure cooker for my whole life. I’m 72. I’ve been thinking about getting one but I hear many negative comments.
@BusDriverShirley Hi. I've seen people who can up maybe 3-4 jars in the older high dome stovetop pressure cookers! (As long as it takes the weight for your elevation) Most here in the UK/Ireland would be under 1,000 ft sea level so would be using 10lb weight! Hope this helps 😊
@@BusDriverShirley It's really down to individual choice and how much you want to can! Lots of people buy the new electric IP with the actual canning feature which only does small amounts, others have the big 23 quart presto or 16 quart presto with the 3 part jiggler weight. There are other brands on the market which i know very little about performance wise. I like my 16 quart presto for small batch like 7 jars or my 23 quart for double stacking pints or smaller jars. Depends on your needs mostly! Hope this helps! 😁
I love the ping sound!! Always makes me happy.
@@amymoore5646 oh yes!! The most satisfying noise ever! Only canners know 😂❤

@@christinejones5005 hi christine. Thank you so much. I actually got both my canners off ebay! A tad expensive but well worth the cost 😁
