What's interesting about this version of Home Alone is that it is actually more of a true sequel to the first movie, and the music was done by Bitmasters who would be VERY prominent during the Gameboy and Gameboy Color era where they did the music for MANY Infogrames games on those systems.
To me, this is the very definition of a guilty pleasure. I still have fond nostalgia for this, even though it's not that good. Probably my favorite game from Imagineering, too.
I actually owned this one. It wasn't close to my favorite SNES title, but it was fun to play. The basement area with the grey bricks and the music always reminded me of Goro's Lair from Mortal Kombat for some reason.
The scream whenever you get caught is still funny to hear and see even 😆 and at least the final boss wasn't a freaking furnace *apparently in the game boy version, even to the point where it have a face*
4:22, the sound of a real asshole. XD 4:46, least they're kind enough to give the key to the room next to the door after collecting all of the requirements. 8:05, DAD. How sweet. 8:55, this song sounds like it belongs in Back to the Future. 29:00, also...why this image of Kevin shirtless for the game over screen?!
i feel sorry for the people who own the real mcalister house getting hundreds of trespassing lookyloos and pizza bombs this time of year wonder if they ever put partying mannequins in the windows and played angels with filthy souls to those who make it to the door?
Hoo boy, this one's...a little more like it. Sure doesn't hold a candle to the Genesis one though. Here Kevin has to...send all the stuff and all the...many pets we had no idea the McCallister's owned down to the basement's giant vault to lock 'em away from Harry, Marv and...their...evil minions? Ok, but Kevin's digitized scream when you get Game Over is easily the best thing here.
This version of Home Alone was soooooo much better than the dumpster fire that was the NES game. I actually had fun with this one!

Dumpster fire you say? That's my cue, Captain Coelacanth! AWAYYYYY~
pc(dos) was better
I remember renting the nes version as a kid and returning it the same day. It was very unpleasant to play
4:21 - I always thought Marv's face kind of looked like a Chucky Doll with a beard.
2:28 - Did the McCallisters buy their house from Dr. Fred Edison? Because that dungeon background looks an awful lot like the one from Maniac Mansion.

Wonder if Macauley Culkin has ever played this?
*Watches Kevin pull a bag of money out of the toilet* Me: "Yes, of course"
What about an entire pizza??lol
Oh like we haven't all frivolously pissed our money away from time to time.

I remember I borrowed this from a friend in High School and completed it the same evening.
This game left out the best part; "Kevin, what'd you do to my room?!?"
Be sure to neatly stack your pets in the basement and lock them up when not in use!

Home Alone is My Favorite Movie
Be right back, checking my shower for pizza

Incredible video.
I Love the Couple Kevin McCallister and Spot
I played this videogame, greetings from Guaranda, Ecuador.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Had the GB version of the game and thought it wasn't bad...only thing it made me wonder what mansion the McAlisters lived in
I believe the actual house is now up for use on Airbnb
@matt yes

Good lord the McCallisters were LOADED
So amazing gameplay, my favorite movie.
I don’t remember that part in the movie where Kevin fought Oddjob from Goldfinger, La Bamba from Conan O’Brien, and bats, spiders, rats, and ghosts…
All of these years later i have no idea that this was even a game

"Home Alone for Libertarian Party"
I have this game and Home alone 2, The mouse boss stage was hard! Until I know how to beat this game by standing in the left side of the screen
Although slightly more playable than the NES one, you're just better off swiping a copy of the Genesis version.
didn't you already play this or am i confusing with the gameboy version
Yeah I did. This is new recording though, and it's in 4k
This looks so much easier than the Gameboy version.
KEVINNNNNNNN 😊
the gameplay of this game it's kinda similar to Michael Jackson's Moonwalker for Genesis
Think they did better with this one then the sequel ,be blessed all in Jesus shalom
18:32 😅😂😂😂😂
Yeah boi!
I think the Sega version is better. Much better even the music was better.
The Genesis version was definitely better however I prefer the music of the Super NES version. It sounds more Christmas like in my opinion.
The nostalgia is tooo strong with one ugh 😭😭
ㅋㅋ신기하네요
Is this the game where Buzz gets a restraining order from his girlfriend after giving her The Who’s who and what’s for?
That's super disturbing. Thanks.
