Me too since I retrieved 6 out of 8 homework pages and I was so damn close cuz of the Temple of Maggie is so fucking hard if you made the wrong move for Indiana Bart to fall down into the pits of hell
The audio of Bartzilla climbing the tower and the temple sounds has never left my mind. Every week probably since 1992 it goes through my mind. It's just weird how some things never leave you that you experience when you were a kid.
When the player starts farming embers from the boiler for score, starting at 29:09, skip to 36:40, because absolutely nothing is happening during those seven and a half minutes except score farming.
This game is hard! Still can't beat it! as a kid I remember to not pick up the hammer in the Itchy & Scratchy one, because the plunger gun was so much easier to use! Great game, don't care what anyone says!
I remember the only time I’ve ever played this game was at a super uncomfortable birthday party in the 90s. It wasn’t a good situation to say the least. my stepsister was with me. I managed to sneak away to a pay phone and made a mayday phone call to my mom to rescue us. My mom came through and called to make up a reason that she was mad and made us come home. Maybe an odd story, but still an amazing memory from my teen years. ❤️
I only ever once got a half decent ending.... I once somehow got a C- and made Homer's day. Edit: Only to get grounded for a week when said ending happened at 2 AM and i got caught staying up too late :(
A fun fact: The late Bill Williams, the designer, left the gaming industry because of Sculptured Software frequently being a nuisance during the development, so maybe it explains why the game looks so weird and confusing sometimes.
Logo: On a black background, we see the word "Acclaim" in a gray-gradient color, on top of a rainbow gradient arrow-like line facing the left with the C's made of "less than" signs or left arrows [
Itchy did have some one-hit kill type moves with the knife and bazooka in the Itchy and Scratchy levels (I personally would have jumped on to the kitchen and counter or furniture to avoid those). And the vacuums were one hit kill type baddies too. I felt it was quite easy to get killed, even though I enjoy the level. Bartzilla and Bartman were favorite levels of mine in that game. The germ thing was OK, but the one hit kills from these grenade throwing germs can really be a pest. Never really could beat the Indy levels. The dream street level had its share of dangerous obstacles too.
I use to play this game all the time back in the day Bart was my idol when I was a kid I was a trouble maker and i use to have a slingshot I'd take it with me everywhere I went in my neighborhood I could never beat this game back then but I kept playing anyway because it was a game starring my favorite character I would play this again if I had the chance
Bartman and the Bart Godzilla stages were the only good ones. The Itchy and Scratchy were passable. The Indiana Jones stage can rot in deepest pits of hell.
I managed to finish the game with a “D”, which is technically a passing grade, but the family was still mad at Bart. My brother got a “C” but that wasn’t acceptable to them, either.
My favourite thing to do as a kid playing this game was to get the skateboard and then see how long I could stay on it collecting Zs. I didn't care that much for the rest of the gameplay lol.
Man, you made this game look easy, and it was fucking annoyingly tough. I was happy enough to get a C+/B- reliably (could never beat the Temple of Maggie stages, but I could trump the Bartman, Bloodstream, Bartzilla, and Itchy and Scratchy ones). Speaking of Itchy and Scratchy, did you feel a bit dumb fighting the furnace for its second page when you realized you needed to hit the furnace and not just the flames? :p Also, I love how pissed off Lisa looks. "You?! Really?! YOU?!?!"
+Dark Pulse Haha no, maybe just a bit senile. I had forgotten about that, it took me a moment to remember :) The game was hard, no doubt. I found it quite a bit more difficult than Bart vs. The Space Mutants.
Did you guys know that during the building climb part of Bartzilla people sometimes drop a Super Nintendo in the Genesis version, And a Genesis in the Super Nintendo version? Neat, huh!
This game along with the others in this era showcase how tie-ins were always terrible wastes of opportunity, and merely cash grabs. Why not have licensed music? Why is this and VB so F'n HARD?! I hated life starting with this game.
I'm proud to say this I destroyed my copy and I don't give a shit this game did not let you use Game Genie or anything so you know what time to get rid of it it was well worth it
I always losed in the second orange door 43:43 and was the only door that I never finish. Why don't appear in your mission the red or green second devil? I hated him and is a devil that you cannot kill.
What the hell is the point of walking down the street and why are you doing it for such a long time after you get page 5? Everything just seems completely random. Also, you got your ass KICKED because you decided to change your already flawless strategy with only one hit to go at the end of the first Itchy and Scratchy stage. Why you didn't just stay there instead of getting killed 3 times and going right back anyways is beyond me.
Yeah, the farther you get into the game, the longer the pages take to show up. You make a good point, I have no idea why I changed my strategy when what I was doing worked so well. Probably just got the hair trigger and was too risky in trying to finish it off quickly.
Fun fact: in the godzila stage, a Genesis It is thrown out the window. On the Genesis version, it’s a Snes.

A really hard video game is one thing. A really hard game with a really crappy ending is another.
JTblcksheep Still not nearly as crappy as the ending of Bart vs. The Space Mutants for NES 💩
Funny as all here though--because Lisa's in disbelief her underachiever brother got an A+. And Bart is loving it.
I never finished it as I didn't like the game.glad o didn't persevere now what a trash ending

Lol memories!
it’s the sound the big moth makes when it sits on your chest after you take too much Benadryl
This brings back memories. Difficult but wonderful game
Wonderful? You gotta be kidding
It's hard to tell just from watching it how FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE the temple of maggie stage was.
I remember this nightmare of a game when I was a kid.... THanks for bringing me the satisfaction of watching this get beaten.
45:00 I love how everyone is happy for Bart but Lisa is shocked
He makes this hilarious weird noise when he gets hit as bartzilla and that is all i wanna friggin hear

great playthrough! did you know when you blow a bubble in the streets you can control it by holding Y and moving the control pad
The ending was "meh" but that look on Lisa's face when Bart got that A+ was priceless.
Sean Mars if you failed
then you'll just get the same ending but with the family angry at you
I know! Lisa is at a complete loss as to how her troublemaking slacker of an older brother managed to write an A+ essay.
@@LunaHeartnet And if he fails, she is mad at him 😂 😂
Fun fact: The Simpsons writers created the term, ‘meh.’
@@LastSifu Really I didn't know that's where the term came from also I didn't know this game had an ending I always heard it didn't

Do you have the Genesis version of Bart's Nightmare?
In the underwater level from Barts nightmare what is bart simpson holding while he's wearing blue swim pants and flippers?
Is an air pump he is using in the underwater level? hope he does inflation himself with the air pump or he will be a huge balloon and floating away
Lisa: Bart gets an A+?! I must be in the Twilight Zone!
@Mr. Mango LMFAO!! Yeah right on the money!🤜🏼🤛🏼
Hey I got another scenario inspired by Family Guy.
