Hello! I just wanted to thank you for sharing this! This was something that I used to struggle with when I first started crocheting and wouldn't understand why my edges always turned out to be that way. I tried again and again and finally realized that I was not only holding on the yarn too tightly but also not moving the hook downward properly. I learned to loosen the yarn and my grip on the hook and now looking back at it I'm glad I made that mistake as it helped me learn the proper way. Lots of love!❤
I started doing this with magic circles without knowing bc i was tired of always fighting the first loop, but then noticed it actually helped my work to be a lot more even. Glad i did something right without knowing 😂
Thank you so much for this!!! I literally just had to start over because it was almost a circle at this point 😅 just started on my first project ever, a scarf
I have the exact opposite issue-my tension gets so much tighter as I go so I’ll be trying a double crochet foundation row this time instead of just a chain…we’ll see what happens!
I have about 50-60 rows done of my first blanket where I just kept going.. this makes me want to start a whole new project, at the same time, just to know I have my problem fixed! 😂 Every video is a problem I have!
Hi! Thank you so much, I have a question. This keeps happening to me but the first rows are always longer and as I keep going they somehow curve (basically the opposite of the example shown in the vid). Do I have to go up a hook size or down a hook size? Would appreciate any help! ❤️
Hii, im a begginer in crochating and i have been struggling with a problem , when i try to crochet a plushie or something my circle turns into a bowl and that doesnt allow me to make it bigger also when im done it doesnt look like a ball its kinda tall and whatever , ive been really struggling so please if anyone knows how to solve the problem please reply to me!!!
Everything alright but I measured the row side of scarf and start single Crochet but after complete 6 rows after i measure again my it become too small size and little bit of edges not straight.... yesterday I remove the half project of yarn and it's not removing 😢...I wasted 3/4 crochet yarns.... plz help me ...
Explain why I didn't do this and did sc then at the end I did chain 1 and continue the row? And it was straight? And pro's don't even use this technique?
i have a problem where my work always shrinks, like ill chain let's say 30 to make like 10 cm, i'll have 30 stitches all throughout but my whole square ends up 7 cm wide instead of the 10 cm i chained
Oh my goodness I needed this tip! Thank you! 💜🧶
I was having trouble with the opposite and it turns out I was skipping a loop every single time I was crocheting 😅
same!!!
You meant you missed one stitch from each row right? If so you should count in each row while doing each stitch. It really helped me in the beginning.
no i had the same problem when i first started crocheting and i actually missed the back loop of every stitch 😭
Lol same. I was confused why mine got skinnier. Turned out my tension was so tight, the next stitches always hide under and i just skipped it 😂

I was just thinking of trying this because my foundation row is always smaller than all other rows. Hope it fixes the problem.
Nag ganyan din sakin ang kinagawa ko wala TRINAY ko nalang para matuto pero pwede din yan❤

Really needed. That

Are you able to fix it if you already made something

Same 😅
I think you have to go up a hook size (I don't know)
I'll try both and tell you
THANK YOU❤❤❤
is there anyway to fix the row once you’ve started??
Thank you!❤
I go up two hook sizes.
THANK U SO MUCH
Thank you 😅
What's foundation in Crothe?
Thank you 🙏 😭
Brilliant
Is a foundation row the same as the chain? 😭😭 or is it the second row or something
What does foundation row mean??
I have the opposite problem. The center is always about an inch shorter than the edges. The corners of a piece is 10”in and the center is 8.8”in
I'm backwards. My issue is i seem to be loose when starting and get tighter as i get more comfortable with it. Any tips for that?
Yes, same thing except reversed! Use a smaller hook for the starting chain and first row and a larger hook for the rest. I hope that helps!
Pls make pt 2

I only have one hook, can i fix it any other way? Or do i need to buy a new one😅
Yep, that is me!! 😅
Would the inverse of this also be true?
Explain why I didn't do this and did sc then at the end I did chain 1 and continue the row? And it was straight? And pro's don't even use this technique?

May be because your chain is too loose
@@LittleBambi777 i dont have that issue anymore lol, if anyone's having this problem i think my tension was to tight
Also it can be because it’s too loose! That can be very bad 😭 it will get smaller as you crochet
Mine does the exact opposite
This is what I’m really struggling with
What if I’m both too poor and too lazy to get a hook size up?
Then you can try to intentionally crochet more loosely during your foundation row and then crochet normally for the rest of the project
@@SigoniMacaroni actual good answer that I was not expecting to get in such short notice too. Thanks!
What if it’s the opposite?
Genius! Thank you😘
Thank you I needed this information
I have bad tension overall, i feel ashamed i cant do it proper with the proper hook.
i went up several hook sizes and it was still curving 😢
STOP IT. I thought i was counting wrong 💀😭
Thank you for sharing. I thought it was because I was somehow adding stitches
Omg samee
I did go up a size but it didn't help at all
So smart!
I usually just stretch it😭
What’s a foundation row 😂
Thank you and may both sides of your pillow always remain cool.
Thank you so much!!
Thank you!
Tysm❤
Everything i make becomes a pizza slice
Fr
It still does that when I use a 6 mm and then a 4.5 mm 🥲
Mine goes the other way in goes I. Slowly 😢
You may be unintentionally missing stitches. Making sure that you count the stitches for each row should fix it!😊
make sure you chain before beginning a new row, how many chains depends on the stitch, if you're doing that already then what Sq5 said!
Just chain 1 before starting a new row.
First of all, it is not you’er sister’s duty to judge you let god do that, second of all, abortion is a sin & so is rape
Thank you so much!!
