Can hardly wait to get back out west and get dirty again. Aiming at a spring time around Easter perhaps.

This is so incredibly incredible! I was just out at Sadie back mount collecting lil fire agate- this stuff is AMAZING! Love to see how he’s bringing it out of the mount! Incredible

Y'all seem like some great folks to go out rockhounding with. My wife and I are just south of Deer Creek and Black Hills and are hoping to go out this weekend to see what this past monsoon season unveiled this year. Perhaps one of these days we'll make the drive up your way. Thanks for sharing the great tips! Cheers!

@@teresalandhamilton8476 We did indeed. :) Went up to Black Hills but unfortunately the weeds from the intense monsoon season were super thick and incredibly difficult to see the terrain. So it'll take some time for the wind to knock the dry brush down, but those winds work tirelessly so probably midwinter will be better. We still plan to go back soon now that the rain has mostly subsided. Maybe I'll bring a weed wacker this time lol :)

I'd love to spend a few days covered head to toe in dirt to dig some agates myself. I may pay you a visit soon!
Sadly, I bought a couple bucketsful of Oatman material a decade ago, and I haven't cut much of it yet. Maybe your video will inspire me to grind some more!

Cool stuff but that’s not how fire agates are formed. It is from mineral rich fluids building up layers in crevasses of a very long period of time

Would like to know more about the "acid eye" and why seeing it lets Jack know there is fire.
