You’re a hero for tolerating it at all. People claiming to believe things that are provably untrue drives me mad.
Ask your husband a few questions. Obviously he believes the Bible is true, so in Deuteronomy 18, God says the way you know a false prophet is their prophecies don't come true. So ask him why doesn't he obey God, and why does he believe some old men in an office in New York, when all their predictions on Armageddon didn't come true. Ask him if it was the Mormons or the Catholic Church that made all those false predictions, wouldn't the JWs use Deuteronomy 18 to show they are false prophets? Yes they would!! So why doesn't he use the same standard to the Watchtower. God clearly says that's how you know it wasn't from him. But they claim that everything they goes in their magazine is from God himself.
So ask him why he believes the Watchtower over God's word. That's exactly what he's doing.
Ask him to give good reasons for why he knows the JW organization is God's official mouthpiece, and expose his weaknesses in his reason

I was born in "the truth". Grew up believing their doctrine. Gave up college or any investment on myself because of the generation prophecy only for them to change it. God helped me to see their lies.

@@jeffnoble9757 the most important lie is that the GB is God's channel to give spiritual food to His worshippers. That is a blasphemy and a sacrilege. Reason allows us to know this is a lie by the amount of failed prophecies from the GB, their doctrinal contradictions and intellectual dishonesty on their writings. I could list all of that in specifics, but it would probably be fruitless. Do your own prayers, be humble, ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and then start your own research. God bless you.
@@eiredalta the Catholic Church turn Jesus into a business called Christianity with a paid clergy class always begging or demanding money and passing a money plate common in all churches today JESUS NEVER PASSED A PLATE OR ASK FOR MONEY. Christians in the dark ages burn people alive if they didn't convert to Christianity. Charlemagne a Christian for example murdered thousands of people for not converting. I was in Vegas for the super bowl and saw several groups of Jesus people screaming with megaphones at people on the sidewalk "you're all going to burn in hell"over and over again like mental patients. They were trying to scare people to convert to Christianity how sick is that!!

Despite false prophecies, they continue to make excuses for failures. It's like an abusive relationship!
main point is, everyone makes mistakes, and as long as we fix those mistakes GOD forgives us, unlike many other religions which do not fix their mistakes. Look at the congregations in Rev 2 & 3 after fixing their mistakes, GUESS WHAT, THEY WERE STILL GOD's PEOPLE
@@Mr.DC3.1914the difference between the congregations in rev 2&3 were that those were ACTUAL mistakes, the watchtower KNOWS that they are wrong Charles Taze Russell KNEW he was wrong but they still continue to put out false and misleading information.

Thank you again for another great video. You have helped me in many ways with these videos. You hit the nail on the head, this religion is nothing but pain. Having been born into it and raised in it, the guilt and pressure have cost me so much in life. I dropped out of college because of ridicule from them, gave up job opportunities, sacrificed thousands of hours of time to this cult. Even my brother gave up having children because they led him to believe the end was near and children would be a curse. I have seen my family members and friends torn apart because of their policies and abuse. I detest this cult and it makes me sick.
The gaslighting causes so much psychological and emotional damage it is hard to bear. I am so happy to be out and learn the truth of Jesus and I finally have peace. But I am being shunned and attacked by family. I no longer fear losing them but the attacks hurt and don't end. I am working to get my young children out and even they are opening up with their concerns and fears. They have even thanked me that they can come to me without judgement. Children really do speak truth and they will not endure the pain and abuse I have been through and witnessed!
Jesus in FACT mentioned the FATHER IS GREATER than I am. JOhn 14:28. BEFORE he WAS SENT, the Father is ALSO GREATER than Jesus.

That's redundant since all bible prophecies are wrong, or the entire bible in general is a fountain of lies.
How do you know? A person would have to know what the bible teaches to know if what is being said is true. Look up the definition of a liar and use it correctly. (Matthew 11:25) At that time Jesus said in response: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to young children.

My grandparents had those books , they had them on the bottom shelf of their bookcase and as a child I pulled them out and flipped through them. I remember that emblem. I rubbed my finger across it and my mom walked in the living room and I said in a loud voice this is bad. And shoved the book away. She hushed me before my grandma could hear. Later she asked me about them I just said thy were weird books and why did grandma have them. She didn’t answer.

Love what you do keep it up. My dad unfortunately is too far gone and its in his heart still, but I thank the Lord for saving me from that cult.
Which church are true according to the Bible in this world? Because many churches are not true according to this scriptures, Matthew 7:21-23,Roman's 10;1-3,2Corintians 11:12-15,2thimoty 4:3-4,2Peter 2:1-3,1John 4:1.

As to growing old, imagine those who went to bethel and took the oath of poverty and then were ask to leave when they could no longer do the work or due to cuts. There was another video I watched by a ex Bethelite who said those in bethel service didn’t pay into social security. That means they have no safety net when they are asked to leave bethel not even qualifying for Medicare! 😢

I think you should make a video on "The Word of God"......I think the key is the word ΄΄LOGOS''........ If they don't understand what the word "WORD" means in Greek, in koine Greek, in scripture, then they 're never going to understand God, Jesus and the trinity....... It's so hard even for me to explain it in English.......I wish I could help you with some verses….

I was not a JW. I grew up with JW neighbors who drilled 1975 into my head. The way I see it is the Watchtower did not publish anything that could later be used as evidence. Instead the leaders of the Kingdom Halls were instructed to push the issue. Thats what each congregation was taught. Everyone I met from the congregation that my neighbors belonged all believed the same thing about 1975. So the Watchtower was smart not to have any evidence by printing their false prophecy which could be used against them after it failed.
The mother of the family would get all excited every time there was an earthquake or other natural disaster. She would always exclaim "see, its happening!!"

12 **DIFFERENT** WAYS ROMANS 10 PROVES JESUS IS JEHOVAH

Below is how the JW’s **New** **World** **Translation** (NWT) renders Romans 10 verses 9 to 16. I’m quoting directly from the **NWT** .
Please notice how the same Greek word “KYRIOS” is translated in 4 of the verses:
verses 9, 12,13 and 16.

Notice how “KYRIOS” is translated twice as “JEHOVAH”, the last 2 times it occurs, in verses 13 and 16.

If “KYRIOS” should be translated as “Jehovah,” then verse 9 says: “Jesus is Jehovah.”
So, looking at the Greek, verse 9 states:

For the second and third points, you need to know about the Septuagint.
The Septuagint was written roughly 200 years before Jesus was born.
It’s a translation of the Hebrew Scriptures (the Old Testament) into Greek. And throughout the Septuagint the Jewish scholars who translated it would NEVER write the Name of God - they ALWAYS replaced the name of ‘Jehovah’ with the Greek word ‘KYRIOS.’
Wherever the Hebrew Scriptures have the name ‘Jehovah,’ in the Septuagint they ALWAYS changed that to ‘KYRIOS.’
And the Septuagint was increasingly used, so that by the time of Jesus it was commonly and widely used and relied upon, so much so that throughout the New Testament the apostles and Jesus Himself quote mostly from the Septuagint.
It’s obvious that’s what they’re quoting from because the Septuagint translates things in an identifiable way, and that’s the exact way that Jesus and the apostles quote them.
The authors Archer and Chirichigno list 340 places where the New Testament quotes the Septuagint compared with only 33 places where it quotes from the Masoretic Text rather than the Septuagint (G. Archer and G. C. Chirichigno, Old Testament Quotations in the New Testament: A Complete Survey, 25-32).
Consider this:
The New Testament has 27 books.
It quotes the Septuagint 340 times.
And we believe that God and His Holy Spirit is the author of the New Testament - so God decided to do that.
Also the early church used and relied upon the Septuagint so much that Orthodox Jews who had been normatively and widely using it for 200 years stopped using it in order to distance themselves from Christians and Christianity. This is how closely the early church was identified with the Septuagint. There is no question or doubt among historians that the Septuagint was ‘the Bible’ of the early church.
The practice of using the word ‘KYRIOS’ instead of using God’s Name had long since become standard practice by the time of Jesus and the apostles.
That’s why in the New Testament in the original Greek it never says God’s Name, ‘Jehovah’ - it always says ‘KYRIOS’ instead, just as in the Septuagint.
Having explained about the Septuagint, now we can start to explain point 2 and then point 3.
As an educated Jew and former Pharisee, Paul was an expert in the Hebrew Scriptures as well as in the Greek Septuagint: he quoted it very frequently in his letters, and he was more than aware that the Greek word which was always used as a euphemism for ‘Jehovah’ was ‘KYRIOS.’
Knowing that, Paul chose to use that Greek word **4** **times** in Romans 10:9-16 and he chose to write in verse 9 and say point blank categorically:
“Jesus is KYRIOS.”
Paul deliberately gives that title to Jesus, and more than that: he says it’s a statement which your salvation depends on.

PAUL IS DELIBERATELY AND SPECIFICALLY QUOTING A PASSAGE FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT ABOUT **JEHOVAH** AND DELIBERATELY AND PURPOSEFULLY APPLYING IT TO **JESUS** .

In the original Greek text of Paul’s Romans 10 there is not the English ‘Lord’ or ‘Jehovah’ - Paul only consistently uses the same Greek word for both Jesus and Jehovah: ‘KYRIOS.’
This distinction between “Lord” and “Jehovah” in the JW’s NWT Romans 10:9-16 is artificial - it isn’t there: it doesn’t exist in the original Greek text - in Paul’s original Greek text he doesn’t write ‘Lord’ twice and later write a different word, ‘Jehovah,’ twice - no, ALL four times Paul uses the *SAME* word in all 4 places: ‘KYRIOS.’
Of course, ‘KYRIOS’ can sometimes mean the equivalent of ‘sir/lord’ (as is sometimes used for humans). But Paul makes it clear which type of ‘KYRIOS’ he means:
In verse 9 Paul uses the Greek word ‘KYRIOS’ for Jesus - and then he immediately makes it explicitly clear which type of KYRIOS he means by deliberately quoting a specific passage from Joel, where ‘KYRIOS’ undeniably means ‘JEHOVAH’ - and by prefacing that quotation with the word:

The word “ **FOR** “ means verse 9 and verse 13 are about the same KYRIOS.
THAT MEANS JESUS IS JEHOVAH.
Combining points 1, 2 and 3:
Paul was an educated Jew who was fully conscious of and very aware (as it was widely and commonly known even among uneducated Jews) that the Septuagint always used the Greek word ‘KYRIOS’ instead of ‘Jehovah’ - and Paul used that word **3** **times** in the space of 5 verses (Romans 10:9-13), stating not only categorically that “Jesus is KYRIOS” , but that one MUST speak “Jesus is KYRIOS” in order to “BE SAVED,” and then Paul qualifies that by deliberately and specifically quoting the Septuagint where it says people MUST speak the name of Jehovah/KYRIOS to “BE SAVED.”
It’s not just that Paul quotes a verse of the Septuagint about KYRIOS (Jehovah) - no, it’s because he uses that verse to qualify/explain why verse 9 is true: he starts verse 13 with the word “ **FOR** “ meaning “because.”
PAUL IS DELIBERATELY AND PURPOSEFULLY APPLYING A SPECIFIC VERSE ABOUT **JEHOVAH** to **JESUS** .
THAT MEANS JESUS IS JEHOVAH.

A closer look at verse 9:
Check the Greek of verse 9 - it doesn’t say:
Jesus is **KYRIOS** .
No, it actually says:
**KYRIOS** is Jesus.
Paul says we must speak:
“ **KYRIOS** is Jesus” to BE SAVED.
The Greek word ‘KYRIOS’ appears **FIRST** in the sentence - which means it has obvious, natural, self-evident **EMPHASIS** .
That emphasis on KYRIOS coming first is yet another confirmation that Paul is not writing about any mere generic random human ‘sir/lord’ but about the already known and self-identifying ‘KYRIOS’ : **THE** *KYRIOS* : JEHOVAH.

In verse 9, in context ‘KYRIOS’ can’t mean merely ‘sir’ - it would NOT make sense:
if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is sir you will be saved.
???
That doesn’t work. Many humans are ‘sir’ and declaring that or believing that doesn’t save you.
It would also contradict and make a mockery of Joel 2:32 - it would be saying Joel 2:32 is wrong and you don’t need to call on Jehovah.
If Paul had wanted/intended to mean ‘you have to speak the Name of Jesus and say he is ‘sir/lord’’ then it makes absolutely no sense why he then quotes Joel 2:32 - which says you have to speak the Name of Jehovah to be saved.
It makes no sense until you realise: oh, Paul actually wrote the *SAME* word ‘KYRIOS’ in both sentences:
In verse 9 he wrote that you must speak the Name of Jesus and say He is KYRIOS in order to be saved - and then in verse 13 Paul said: ‘For/because’ and then he quoted Joel 2:32 where it says you have to speak the Name of KYRIOS/Jehovah to be saved.
The passage makes no sense (and contradicts itself) unless you read ‘KYRIOS’ in all four places, and unless ‘KYRIOS’ has the same meaning in all 4 places.

Pay careful attention to verse 12.
Paul gives further crucial clarification in verse 12:
9 For if you publicly declare with your mouth that JESUS is [ **KYRIOS** ], and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will **BE** **SAVED** .

So when Romans 10:9 says we must speak that “ **KYRIOS** is Jesus” in order to BE SAVED, it is not talking about a mere human ‘sir’ - the text itself specifies that it is talking about **THE** **SAME** **KYRIOS** OVER ALL - the **ONE** *KYRIOS* . The only *KYRIOS* whose name you can call [speak] on to BE SAVED, as Joel 2:32 says: JEHOVAH.
The text of Romans 10 itself stipulates that it is THE SAME KYRIOS:
The **KYRIOS** in verses 9 and 12 is **THE** **SAME** **KYRIOS** in verses 13 and 16.
Jews and Christians only have **ONE** **KYRIOS** .
THAT MEANS JESUS IS JEHOVAH.

There is separate additional evidence that the **KYRIOS** which is **CALLED** **ON** in verse 13 is Jesus.
Look again at Romans 10:9 and 13

In that verse, Paul (the very same writer as Romans 10) DEFINES Christians as those who in every place CALL ON THE NAME OF OUR **KYRIOS** JESUS CHRIST.
For Paul, the same writer as Romans 10, the DEFINING characteristic of Christians is: that they CALL ON THE NAME OF OUR **KYRIOS** JESUS CHRIST.
That proves **ALL** the church **CALLED** upon the name of JESUS - and that in conjunction with Romans 10:9-13 means JESUS IS JEHOVAH.

So we know the “him” in verse 14 is Jesus Christ.
Ok - so, knowing that the “him” in verse 14 is Jesus, now let’s read verses 13 and 14 together:

Undeniably the CHRISTian faith is emphatically defined in the New Testament as faith “ **IN** “ Jesus.
That makes the “him” in Romans 10:14 Jesus.
Romans 10:14 is talking about the “him” **IN** whom we must have faith in order to be saved - and the New Testament is crystal clear that that is: JESUS.
And as we already observed in point 8:
The one called on in Romans 10:13 is clearly the *SAME* person as the “him” in Romans 10:14.
No one denies that the person in verse 13 is Jehovah.
And we have just seen that the New Testament is crystal clear that the person talked about in Romans 10:14 whom we must have faith “ **IN** “ in order to be saved is Jesus.
THAT MEANS JESUS IS JEHOVAH.

If having faith **IN** God the Father was sufficient to be saved, then Jesus wouldn’t have needed to die and rise again, and religious Jews who already had faith in God the Father wouldn’t need to hear about or have faith in Jesus.
That means the “him” in Romans 10:14, in whom we MUST have faith in order to be saved, **CANNOT** be God the Father, otherwise Jesus wouldn’t have needed to die and rise again, and religious Jews who already had faith in God the Father wouldn’t need to hear about Jesus or to have faith in him - and we know Paul doesn’t believe that: he teaches that religious Jews NEED to hear about and have faith in KYRIOS Jesus - the whole of the New Testament teaches that is essential.
So it doesn’t make any sense for the “him” in Romans 10:14 to be God the Father.
The “him” in Romans 10:14 therefore **CANNOT** be God the Father.
That means that the “him” in Romans 10:14 in whom we need to have faith in order to be saved MUST therefore be: Jesus.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Believing in God the Father isn’t enough.
When Peter preached to the religious Jews, he said this:

He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among mankind by which we must be saved.””

Let me highlight:

This is an additional and independent argument that the “him” in Romans 10:14 must be Jesus (confirming the other complementary arguments in points 8 and 9).
And just as in the conclusion of points 8 and 9: if the “him” in Romans 10:14 is Jesus, then in conjunction with verse 13 THAT MEANS JESUS IS JEHOVAH (because we’ve already seen that verses 13 and 14 are clearly talking about the *SAME* person).

This means Jesus cannot be a mere man.
Indeed the whole of the Old Testament consistently and repeatedly says there is only one LORD / KYRIOS and you must **ONLY** have faith **IN** the one true LORD / KYRIOS: JEHOVAH.
THAT MEANS we don’t even need Romans 10:13 to know that the “him”/JESUS in verse 14 IS JEHOVAH.
Points 8, 9 and 10 all used Romans 10:13 to show that the “him”/Jesus in verse 14 is JEHOVAH.
Point 11 is that the WHOLE of the Old Testament proves that the “him”/Jesus in verse 14 is JEHOVAH.

Who is the “KYRIOS / Lord” in verse 12 ?
The Greek word ‘KYRIOS’ occurs 4 times in Romans 10:9-16.
The first 2 times, the JW’s **NWT** translates it as ‘Lord’ (in verses 9 and 12).
The last 2 times, the JW’s **NWT** translates it as ‘Jehovah’ (in verses 13 and 16).
The first ‘KYRIOS’ which is translated as ‘Lord’ in verse 9 is unquestionably Jesus.
That leads me to logically think that the second ‘KYRIOS’ which is translated the exact same way as ‘Lord’ in verse 12 must therefore also be Jesus. Also: otherwise why wouldn’t the JW’s **NWT** say ‘Jehovah’? Surely the Watchtower organisation wouldn’t try to hide or deny the name of Jehovah, or remove the name of Jehovah where it should rightfully be, would they?
Ok, so the ‘Lord / KYRIOS’ in verse 12 is JESUS.
Now that we know the KYRIOS in verse 12 is Jesus - let’s read verse 12 and 13 together:
12 There is the same [ **KYRIOS** ] ( *JESUS* ) over all, who is rich toward all those *CALLING* *ON* *HIM* .
13 For “everyone who *CALLS* *ON* the name of *JEHOVAH* [ **KYRIOS** ] will be saved.”
Clearly, the one *CALLED* *ON* in verse 12 is the *SAME* one *CALLED* *ON* in verse 13.
And we already established that the one in verse 12 is Jesus.
Therefore:
THAT MEANS JESUS IS JEHOVAH.
By translating the 4 occurrences of the same word ‘KYRIOS’ in Romans 10:9-16 *differently* (the first 2 as ‘Lord’ because they are too obviously Jesus, and the last 2 as ‘Jehovah’ because they are too obviously Jehovah) the **NWT** obscures the fact that it’s actually the same Greek word that occurs 4 times and attempts to create the impression that the passage is talking about 2 different beings. But if you pay attention and read it closely the text doesn’t allow for that reading. The passage is only talking about 1 being and 1 KYRIOS. It’s the same KYRIOS throughout the whole passage.
I challenge any Witness to prove what D H has said to be incorrect.

It's not their prophecy, the prophecies were already told in the scriptures. Its how you discern its fulfillment. The scriptures specifically the letters from apostle Paul, reminds all Christians to be awake (spiritually) at all times because the end is like a thief in the night. No one knows the exact date and time, but if you observe whats happening around you, you can prepare. Just like a storm, typhoon or hurricane forecast, its just an estimation but with due diligence you can be spared and will not belong to the casualties. There are wrong expectations.. But its the will to carry on does matter.

While it is “technically” true they never explicitly said 1975 would mark the end of the world, the did say in 1969 that “a young person would never fulfill any career….[since] this system of things will be well on its way toward its finish, if not already gone” May 22, 1969 awake page 15.
