I cry every time I watch your episodes. These are not sad tears, they’re happy tears. I’m always moved by the beauty of what you share. I was dressed like a character for an event (an elf) in 2019 and a beautiful african man approached me at a subway station in brooklyn. Maybe I looked personable because i stood out as different and that made him feel comforable? We started talking deeply just like in this video. He said he felt invisible and people always were weird around him. He cut his hair to seem more approachable but just got stares. And he stated how much he missed his mother in those moments with tears in his eyes. I have to say, he was so gorgeous. Like a 6'6" tall model with beautiful bone structure and I was surprised by everything he was saying. He didnt ask me for anything either, just wanted to be heard. I wonder where he is today.
What a great man….dont listen to anyone. Why should he change? He is what he wants to be …and that is marvellous. He is not hurting anyone…..there are far worse things he could be than a gentle quiet soul with long hair. Best wishes to the man….
It's common for people with kinky/coily/curly hair textures to be told their hair looks "crazy/wild/unkempt/unprofessional" in its natural state. It is also common for people of color's protective styles as well as "wash and go's" to be labeled as unprofessional.
