- Splatter hated everyone and everything when she was first rescued. Mary, her foster mom, slowly but surely began to make progress with her, but Splatter was still terrified of her. Eventually, Splatter began to gravitate towards Bugle, another feral cat who was fearful of humans for the longest time. The two of them have become inseparable and Splatter is obsessed with Bugle! Since the two of them becoming friends, Splatter has become so much more friendly and is starting to ask for pets and attention now.

My cat used to be sort of spicy and he didn’t really like pets. We just called him spicy and that became his name💖💖
@@kiim_chi my friend rescued and fostered a few spicy kittens last year. They were named after actual spices-pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg and fennel. I think two of their forever families even kept those names =D
As feral as they come their wild instincts are somehow tamed when placed in an environment where's there's lots of 💕 love and nurture and other cat friends to bond with. Lots of yummy food certainly helps, too. Love the way he observes the interaction between the human caregiver and his feline friend so as to gauge the situation whereby his initial fears slowly turn into trust and acceptance of the new surroundings.

I love it. At 73 I am now fulltime feeding and socializing with my animal friends. Big change from computer rooms and disco clubs a thousand years ago.

She's so great right? Quiet and patient with them, understanding that Splatter was just a scared girl and finding her a support cat who'd help her see she could trust. Adorable. I hope they're great in their new forever home.

Aww. This made me so emotional. You can hear the foster mom holding back the tears. She must have really loved those cats. It must have been so difficult to let them go.
just to take applications and pick through them knowing they won't be there for breakfast the next morning, I'm definitely crying. I'm soft & staying that way. 🤣💯❤️ I really think Mary has the mark of true love bc it's just so unselfish. Love says she has to let go bc there's another little spicy baby(or a spicy old man, you never know) who needs that true love, and to know this is how it works. This is how you make the world a better place. It starts with a hiss, and some destroyed blinds. Then there's a boop. You get one boop. Then a very brave little belly roll and then BOOM! Love wins the day! I'm still gonna cry though. 😆💯❤️😭😭😭😁❤️❤️

Proper ferals like her need time and boundaries at first. It’s never on our terms it’s on theirs. I don’t even make eye contact at first as this can be perceived as a threat. Yes cats take cues from other cats so seeing him being relaxed around this beautiful human made her relax more and learn to trust.
Yeah, cats have some strict boundaries and "cattiquette" that a lot of humans misinterpret as "standoffish" or "unfeeling". But once you learn it, you bond easier with your new feline friend :D

I have a feral now for 8 years. And I still let her decide the pace of our pets and scratches.
They just need time and PATIENCE.
Every cat has the potential to love as long as they are given the appropriate time and space to learn to trust.
😂 1:23 the way Bugle was so INTENTLY AND INTENSELY watching was the most adorable and also heartbreaking thing! Such a smart boy, but also so sad that he was in that place. So proud of this woman for helping these cats! And proud of Bugle for being a smart boy and knowing he was safe and could accept her love and then helping Splatter, knowing she needed to feel loved and safe too! What add me the happiest is knowing they will spend the rest of their lives together!! Two beautiful, loving, smart cats bonded for life that won’t be separated! 🥰💓🥰💓🥰

I could never foster animals. Having to leave them would not go well. That's why I love you for having the courage to say goodbye. You are my hero.
I couldn't either. I mean, I'll fall in love with a cat in five minutes, so fostering one for days, weeks, or even months, is just not something I could do.

You can hear the pain in her voice for letting them go and holding back tears but she's happy for them and I think that's just incredibly wholesome. She just wants what's best for them.

Remember when people used to just give up on trying to socialize feral cats? Now there are just so many different ways you can try to get them socialized it's absolutely fantastic. Definitely a great thing. =)

We had a tiny tuxedo girl who was not spicy but just hugely, hugely shy and scared until we adopted her loving body, a cow-cat girl who loved everyone and everything, and then they had a LONG, happy life together, like we can hope for splatter...

There is something extra special when a cat (or any animal for that matter) comes to accept and trust their humans.
Time, patience, love and compassion go a long way … specially with cats. They need to adjust and trust! Very sensitive individuals these four legged creatures. 🐈⬛🐈⬛👍👍

This makes me emotional to watch as I can relate to Splatter's social situation as well as I can tell she has been neglected and isolated for so long she feels unsafe and having so much social anxiety. It's really heartwarming how she has a companion so that she won't feel as lonely or that she's in danger as both us humans & animals need a companion to rely on. I can see both Bugle & Splatter being great friends as they need each other and living a healthy and happy life! 🐱🐱

Yeah, perfect energy for cats. Give them love and space and don't try to grab them when they're not ready. They'll come around. I'm a big dog person so it took me a while to figure cats out but after I did my cat won't leave me alone.

Immediately thought “Is that Splatter?” And was so happy to see it was. I followed their story on TikTok for a while. So happy they’re doing well
Our cat was "only" a semi feral cat. When we got her , I put her in a large sweatshirt , the rim pinned to my shoulder. I carried her close to my body and stroke her softly. This is how I could tame her. It was well worth, althoug it took me a lomg time until I could take her up to give her a cuddle. I knew, when she had enough , kissed her, said THANK YOU and put her back to the floor.
She still kept a a few things , a feral cat doesn't like. But this was ok for me. She didn't like to be taken up . She knew, she senced " here she comes again". Into a corner and her head bending down: I can't see you, you can't see me, we are not there. !
But came bedtime, I only had to call : ROO, it's time to go to bed, off she went, sitting on my bed and waiting for human mum to do a strip. YES, I DID IT FOR MY CAT.
My husband thought, it was hilarious.
ROO is gone , no moggy anymore. We love you forever little girl. There are still days, where my tears are running down, as as they do now. Although it's 9 month ago.
We will never forget you beloved ROO.

This little clip brings joy to my heart ❤. I too had a kitty many years ago who was just like Splatter. She would hide from me, then she would hiss and growl .After some time, together with the food trick,she eventually found that she was in a safe and loving home. It saddens me when some people just give up if their kitty is not behaving as they perceive that they should behave. It was wonderful to see another earth angel in this ❤ clip giving so much love to Splatter. It was also heartwarming to see Bugle and Splatter getting on so well together ❤. It was also lovely to see that they are in their forever home together ❤.

We took in a third cat from a friend who could no longer care for her. It has taken 2 years to get her completely comfortable in our house, but now she gets long just fine. Still fights with the other female at times, but we quickly break it up.
This one got the happy tears going lol, reminds me of my tuxedo baby and how special it is when she chooses to be near us or want pets 🥰

Thank You so much for sharing this clip and calling them spicy. Many people don’t understand that a cat would rather run than fight and often it’s due to neglect being starved of human interactions or they are in pain. Watching how they behave will give you lots of answers
