Toilet cisterns do all vary but hopefully this will help you tighten a loose toilet handle.

I had to drill out a 10yr old screw to get a handle off to changed a concealed siphon. Pain in the arse! 😂

I've changed mine twice. The plastic nut just doesn't hold the handle tight. It stays in place and the handle slides in and out of it. Plastic just doesn't have the grip. What can I do? This is two new handle sets that I've done in one month. The first snapped the same night I changed it and the second one just slides about. I tighten it, it just gets to a point where I'm moving the spanner round and the nut is turning yet it's just not 'bonding' to the cistern wall. Do I bond it in place to stop this happening?
I think that's the issue, the handle isn't meant to be super tight, it will always feel quite loose. The plastic nut should only be tightened up hand tight, not really tight with a spanner. I wouldn't glue it, that will cause more issues. Good luck.

Maybe it’s a broken mechanism. It will never be really tight else it won’t move at all, it will always be slightly loose.

It will always wobble a bit, but it shouldn’t be really loose
I can tighten it up, but it comes loose, again, in a few days.
Is the actual plastic nut loose inside the toilet cistern? This should be fairly tight, the actual toilet handle will always have some play in it and feel slightly loose.

Create the adhesive or craft glucell leaide inside threadS of nuts twist set firmy find dry time twist y bak off parts ..let harden should I have formed a seal &7 tight bu5tt flush!

If I tighten the handle this tight, the handle won't move
Tightening that nut shouldn’t affect the handle, maybe it’s missing a part? Have a look at my video how to install a new one to see the parts involved. Link in
