youre really underselling the tech by making everything blinding and shiny instead of actually using it as intended

this looks horrible, like someone smeared vaseline on my screen and then turned bloom all the way up. The reflections makes no sense at all, those are mostly rock slabs you're surfing on. I've had acid trips more coherent than this. If painting all the walls/ramps chrome and making everything look brighter than high beams on a dark road is "good" to you then you honestly need your eyes checked.
Path traced lighting really doesn't mix well with moving so fast. Looks good in stills but a blurry mess in motion.
Pretty much every map that "didn't work" could have been fixed with a bit more work. If anyone wants to give RTX Remix a shot and was put off by this video, don't be, there's a lot more you can do.

Just one small correction: At 2:30 you show on the video the Half-Life Raytraced mod, a completely unrelated project that does not use RTX Remix technology. (It uses a modified Xash 3D engine that supports RT)
ever heard of capturing scenes and actually fixing the broken levels?
I hope you are not playing on VAC secured servers with RTX Remix, that could get you banned for messing around with render pipeline lol
i saw some stuff about this software but didnt think about this, good shit! and yeah I think another video showing some more maps would be cool maybe boreas or love tunnel would be interesting.
Would love to see surfboomer and surfprismatic in the rtx setting
You're not using it right. You have to use the rtx remix editor to actualy get the full potential
not really a fan of how shiny this makes everything look but cyberwave looked pretty sick. might be worth trying this with epiphany, edge and other already gorgeous maps
It's him making everything look this bad... He can't even set things properly, he only makes everything shiny and glowy, he isn't even trying to make anything look good
i think this could be good for replays edit to make it interesting. like those csgo kill montage render videos. without actually knowing how to edit videos

I've tried multiple times to get into surf. I've only ever beat a single, easy level. Recently got the RTX Remix working so I'll try giving some of these maps a try with a full mod. I love the vibes of some of the surf maps
