Spot on! Lucy was a tough taskmaster who had high expectations for herself and everyone around her. Her work holds up today because of hard work and discipline and dedication to her craft.
Her own daughter has commented on the strict discipline and upbringing for her and her brother Desi jr, yet despite this, Lucille's talent was undeniable.
Talented people, WHEN THEY’RE IN CHARGE, are often rather NUTS when they’re not in front of an audience. But the professionals around the Star would put up with it, and in Lucy’s case, for two reasons: 1. Everyone on the set shared her interest in making the best product possible, although not necessarily to the over-the-top extent Lucy did. BUT… 2. Lucy OWNED the place! At least she DID, lock, stock and Klieglights [although the majority of those were actually made by Mole-Richardson] after the Ball/Arnaz divorce. Before that, she CO-owned it all with Desi. Lucille Ball’s NAME was in the title of the show(s), so she absolutely had a stake in the quality of that product And it’s interesting you termed her re-staging of a scene without the Director being there as “like a factory foreman”. Between Hollywood’s Melrose Avenue studios of Desilu (located in the Southwest corner of the Paramount Pictures lot), and the Culver City “Forty Acres” Desilu lot, Desilu Productions was indeed a TV factory. Just look at the sheer number of TV shows that came out of their facilities besides “I Love Lucy”, “The Lucy Show” and “Here’s Lucy” - The Untouchables, Whirlybirds, The Danny Thomas Show, Wyatt Earp, The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Andy Griffith Show, Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., Hogan’s Heroes, and BOTH Star Trek pilots (and many of the episodes), just to name a very few. There were MANY more. When Lucy got tired of being a Studio Mogul, she sold the whole kit and kaboodle to Paramount Pictures, and was quite happy NOT to be responsible for the shows that were in production at the time, not to mention all the details, big and small, of running a Studio. She could finally relax a bit, letting someone else worry about all those things. Then all she had to concern herself with were the shows with her name in the titles (as if that wasn’t enough!). An amazing lady, to be sure.🩷
Never saw or heard about Lucille Ball being a perfectionist, but I can see how she could have had that title given to her. Her appearance was always "picture perfect," a giveaway sign of a perfectionist.
Also, I can't imagine watching any other tv sit com as much as I have watched I Love Lucy. Always laugh and enjoy the Fabulous Four: Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance and Wm Frawley.
She was paying for it. In all aspects of her life. Marriage, friendships, and literally her pocket book. One of the women who fought for woman's rights inTv.
I saw a clip of a rehearsal for Here’s Lucy that showed Lucy working with a very bored Jack Benny. After watching Lucy micromanage the scene a frustrated Benny announced to the cast and crew, “Would someone please tell her she’s got the job!” Priceless.
I Loved that esp. knowing that Benny and Ball were next door neighbors and friends for decades. Once a guest said when they were eating dinner, Jack came in playing his violin, walked around the table continued to play and left, without saying a word! One time they were in a scene together both playing the violin. She looked so good, one did not know that she couldn't play the violin -- but it was all mimicked - down to precise finger movements. Darn it was perfect or almost, apparently someone picked up the that the music continued on a few seconds and Lucy was no longer moving her fingers. The person who made the comment had played the violin for years and said she was so good - that up to the end he did not realized that she was acting.
She was a pioneer for women in the high level of business, Hollywood, showmanship and all done in a total man’s world. She saved an empire when Desi was distracted. She skill was magical and brought ground breaking topics to TV audience. A pregnant woman on TV was considered a NO No and yet she and Desi made it work. Time is short in the day, so she was blunt and working with folks who may not have understood the magnitude of the media. We all benefited from her work, skill and talent. Real slackers exist now and the lack of skill, talent and thought that big busts are your job skill is our sad reality.
Lucille Ball definitely knew her craft! She knew what would work, and what would NOT work! To label her as a perfectionist just means she has deep PASSION for her talent and only wanted for those around her to have that same passion! After watching this video I now have a HIGH level of RESPECT for her! Thanks Facts Verse RIP Lucille Ball You'll always be the "QUEEN OF COMEDY"😅😂😁💃🌹🙏
Lucille Ball was a Type A personality, those are your perfectionist, your workaholic and to a certain degree bullies. When they own something especially like work, or projects it has to be done their way and their way only. There is no room for error in their world. I Love Lucy is an iconic show and it set the tone for sitcoms.
@@FactsVerse Best episode: Vitameatavegamen - have a coffee mug with her picture on front holding the bottle - saying I feel fine, but it's hot in her.
Strict perfectionists Knowing her craft Made her the successful comedian and business woman she is known for She spent 20 years in movie business before her hit radio show which was transformed into a tv series thus began the legendary legacy of a a lady who we know as simply Lucy and the madcap adventures she got herself into over 20 years in television known, loved and respected by all I miss Lucy Thank heavens for reruns 😅
Rob Reiner was hired as a guest on The Lucy Show. He shared that Desi Arnez really blew his top at him because in a scene during rehearsals Reiner improvised. This set Arnez off and he physically pushed Reiner up against a wall while screaming at him. Arnez said there is NO improvising! Ultimately Reiner wanted nothing to do with him despite Arnez trying to soften the blow.
Give Lucille Ball a well written script and her comic genius was easily displayed! There were many good comedy performers during Lucy's time but none of them came close to equalling or surpassing her
Lucille ball was a tough professional that strove for profection I understand by various interviews i have watched on tv and utube that lucille ball a force and a control freak good characteristics if you are starring in a tv show that even bears your first nane and if you are running your own tv sudio DESLU that she started with her 1rst husband Desi Arnes. So glad Lucy left fans with all the great body of her tv and movie performances. privately and professionally a very though lady and Carol Burnett said in a interview that the day after Lucy passed away she still received her yearly birthday flowers from Lucy.
I saw Lucy on Super Password. When the contestant didn't guess the word after Lucy's clue Lucy gave her such a disgusted look. You could tell she didn't have a lot of patience. She was fascinating to watch.
I Love Lucille Ball - Marc Daniels was her original Director on I Love Lucy - his son always said to him and others that Lucille Ball was the greatest actor he ever directed - and he directed the likes of Laurence Olivier, Sally Fields, Julie Harris and Paul Newman.
Oh c’mon now!! Leave Lucy ALONE!! WE ALL LOVE LUCY!!…. Chicken shits wait decades since Lucy’s been gone to start talking smack and bash her when she’s not here to defend herself???!!! This IS SOME BS!!
That aspect of her personality was discussed while she was alive, albeit in books about her and on interview shows. The comments about her bossiness only got sharper and deeper upon her death. That was a big problem between her and Desi when they produced "I Love Lucy". She would defer to him but was wound tighter than a drum and often had shouting matches with him on set.
Correct! Has anyone come along since to equal or top what Lucille Ball accomplished? She has left a wonderful library of comedy that continues to be The Gold Standard for all to learn from.
Oh, I had heard Elizabeth Taylor had some pretty "colorful" to say the least remarks about her experience with Lucille when she and then husband Richard Burton were on the set of Here's Lucy when they both guest starred on the show! Haha!
Taylor and Burton asked Lucy to be on her show and they were paid more than any other stars ever. However Burton was an alcoholic -- came on set late, drunk, didn't know his lines or mumbled his lines. Lucy called him out on it in no uncertain terms. He hated her for it "How dare she call out the great Richard Burton". The show turned out A++. In his last films he was so drunk, he had to rehearse his lines, sitting down or lying down, He died at age 58, complications due to alcoholism.
@@LJ-ht4zs Yes, it was said that Lucille called him out, telling him he couldn't act. If he was drunk at a rehearsal and this affected his performance, he was right. And since they were on a tight five day schedule, there was no room for "playing." TV comedy, especially with Lucille Ball was serious business.
God I feel like a Lucy apologist but I have never liked Liz Taylor. She stole her best friend's husband (Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, who had children); but Liz was lonely cause Michael Todd was killed in an airplane crash the year before. It just about ruined Fisher's career but enhanced Liz Taylor's in that she could get any man she wanted. After that, she met Burton on the set of Cleopatra - goodbye Fisher hello Burton, who was married with several children. Same show, different day. Again, only + publicity. Taylor also was an alcoholic and was into drugs. I finally saw something positive in her when she went to The Betty Ford Clinic and admitted her substance abuses, which like Betty Ford, gave women permission to speak up about their issues. Also at that time, Liz Taylor became a major spokesperson for research in and treatment for AIDS. In those two ways I truly found her admirable. However in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe", which Burton and Taylor brilliantly acted in - it seemed like a window into their real lives.
They both were committed to their craft way more than building a happy home. They weren’t alone, most Hollywood families had struggles. It was a good thing Luci & Desi Jr had each other to go through it together..
However, when Desi jr and Lucie Arnaz wanted to get into show business that had a chance to work on "Here's Lucy" for several seasons and made lots of connections as well as having a lot of money. When Desi Sr. landed on the shores of Miami at age 16 - he had finish two years of high school, earn a living and when he graduated, his father divorced his mother and Desi had to support her for the rest of his life. Lucy found her way to NYC at age 15 had no money and no connections - finally got into modeling so she could eat and send home money to help support her family, which she did till both her mgf and mother died. Early on, she also supported her brother Fred who was 4 years younger and her cousin Cleo.
Lucie Arnaz once said her mother was not a funny woman. She was a ruthless business woman who did what she had to do to get a show on the air. But look at the product she produced and how long it lasted...25 years. A rarity in the industry. I’m surprised this video didn’t mention the difficulty Elizabeth Taylor had on the “Here’s Lucy” set when she made her iconic appearance with her then husband Richard Burton. That was well documented. Most “difficult” people have the best end product. Look at Barbra Streisand. Richard Marx once commented that she can be troublesome if you come into her world unprepared. Yet Streisand has been a force for over 60 years. Vivian Vance and Gale Gordon must have adapted well to Ball’s style. They remained with her through the years and never complained about her. Lucille Ball knew what she wanted and what her audience wanted and she gave it to them and Lucy was loved.
She just knew what she wanted. She and Desi preferred to run each show straight through, like a play. So as it were, they wanted to get everything perfect and would do whatever it took to achieve that. However, she adored the people she worked with, and would always use the same actors in all her various tv shows. She’d never accept an award without naming them… she never considered herself a one woman show.
Lucy and Richard Burton did not get along on set because he was an alcoholic - came late to rehearsals, didn't know his lines and looked down on anyone trying to get him up to speed. In his last films he rehearsed while sitting down or lying down - too drunk to stand up - hence he died at 58 from complications due to alcoholism. BTW the Burtons asked Lucy to be on the show - most expensive ever - plus one of the best received. The reviews were over the top.
Gale Gordon and Lucy were friends for over 30 years; they got along well and really loved each other. Lucy and Vivian were friends - I think Vivian was not easy to get along with either - she initiated the conflict with Wm Frawley, which did not change in the 6 seasons of the show. Vivian got married 4x and the last marriage worked, but he was gay. Lucy loved Desi a lot but he was an addict: booze, women and gambling; his second wife almost divorced him too. Lucy ended up starring and producing The Lucy Show as well as running Desilu Studios. (She had to buy Desi out as the studio was losing money) After a few years when Desilu was doing well, she sold it for 17 million. I am going on a lot, but damn I really admired her fortitude and ability to keep things going, do well by the kids, and save the studio from bankruptcy. That's a heck of a lot on anyone's plate!
Let me comment on 3 people who Lucy did not get along with on her show: Richard Burton, Tallulah Bankhead and Joan Crawford. They had one thing in common: they were alcoholics - came on set late, didn't know their lines, and there was conflict, Burton in particular had a really big ego - and how dare a tv comedian tell him what to do. However, with each person Tallulah, Burton, Crawford - a really good show came out of it. Only Burton was a mean drunk and was really nasty about Lucy. He was used to while working on his last few films, sitting down or lying down while rehearsing - he could not stand up. He died from complications of alcoholism at 58. Joan said something funny - after they were on set together - And they call me a *itch! and Tallulah was very positive about meeting and working with Lucy. However, she did have the last laugh. Tallulah had Lucy so anxious about how she was going to perform that Lucy was off, and Tallulah gave an A+ performance!
I've heard the same rumors too. I don't know if it's true, but I was told that the low level staff at Bullock's department store were not allowed to interact with her due to her temper and that only department managers were supposed to wait on her. It makes sense if the staffer was new and wasn't knowledgeable and any mistake or delay would trigger her.
When Lucy was in NYC living there for awhile she always ate lunch at Elaine's, a well known restaurant on the East Side. The owner was interviewed after Lucy had died and she was extremely positive about her coming in every afternoon. - (if there is ever a place someone may show a cranky side it's a restaurant - I was a waitress in High School and College) This was a time after her shows she had rented an apt. in the area to be closer to her grandchildren.
Lucille Ball is a ledgendary woman excellent actress!! funny as hell!! I still watch I love Lucy as often as I can catch it classic sitcom she didn't play noo way!! she was indeed a perfectionist what else do you expect from a ledgendary actress? nothing but the best 😉
Lucille Ball is the greatest actress of all-time. There's only one Lucy. She's always imitated and never duplicated. All your favorite comedians say Lucille Ball was their idol, for a reason! Young comedians, take notes from the greatest of all-time! If young comedians want to succeed - The best person to learn from is Lucy. And a close second is definitely Joan Rivers (Joan and Aisha Tyler areo my all-time favorites in standup).
You cannot create that much work on film and be nice. She had a very harsh childhood with many cruel disappointments and family tragedies. The legend of I Love Lucy proves that she was right about comedy on film. Show business has no room for crybabies.
After their painful divorce, Lucy was running Desilu Studio by herself, at the same time, acting in and producing The Lucy Show, and was raising her two children.
I agree and I dont give a crap what she may have been like to work with. All geniuses have quirky sides to their personalities or they wouldnt be geniuses😅
I agree - also Vivian Vance was in abusive marriage as the other two marriages and she and Bill Frawley were antagonist toward each other. Plus not only Desi was a cheater he was also an alcoholic (as was Frawley) and he began acting out (on the set) by1955. However, the Fabulous Four created I Love Lucy, the best tv sit com I have ever seen. Love Lucille Ball, she had an incredibly difficult life growing up, and made music out of sadness. Each one of these performers had issues but created greatness together.
@@Patrick-i7f Desi was an addict: sex, booze, and gambling, before marriage to Lucille Ball, during the marriage and after it. Nothing easy - being married to an addict of one, no less all three.
The amazing shows Lucille Ball churned out were because she knew more than anybody else about the business ,and she knew she could only bring out the best in others with strict discipline. The results vindicated her commitment to her craft
I think she could be a witch & put a b on the witch word too.probably all the infidelity Desi put her though was a facture in her personality. After all how much can a woman take. He lied about his constant cheating & then he would tell her it didn't mean anything to him.women thought he was so georgous .personally I never thought he was anything special at all as far as looks. But he was talented & knew his craft extremely well. 73 yrs when I love Lucy started & still going strong what a beautiful legacy💝 just to bad their marriages didn't last. They married each other twice & I really think they loved each other very much!! I will always love I love Lucy show💝💝💝💝😁
@@FactsVerse nothing in particular. I just like this video because a lot of people don't realize Lucille Ball was like this. The Ali thing for her is a lovable character from I Love Lucy.
She was brilliant on “I Love Lucy”. The first couple of years of The Lucy Show were good. After that there was a bunch of bad scripts, cue card reading and yelling of lines.
@@FactsVerse There are so many great “I Love Lucy” episodes that’s it’s hard to choose just one. Instead, I’ll choose some that I love that may not get mentioned that often by other fans (in no particular order): 1) The episode where Lucy tries to sneak the cheese on the airplane is absolutely brilliant, hilarious and perfectly executed. 2) The one where Lucy and Ethel buy a freezer and then accidentally buy what seems to be a whole cow of beef. 3) The episode when Lucy pretends to go on a hunger strike in Paris so that Ricky will buy her a new dress. Again, this episode showed the brilliance of the writers and the entire cast. The Lucy Show had some absolutely hilarious episodes, and unlike many fans my favorites aren’t necessarily in the first season, for instance the episode where Lucy and Viv are competitors in a baking contest and of course their rivalry gets the best of them. The one where Lucy poses as an aid in the hospital to secure Mr. Mooney’s signature for a loan. The scene where the hospital staff is chasing Lucy in the wheelchair is flat out hysterical. Then there’s the episode where Lucy looses her contact lens in a cake that she’s baked for Mrs. Mooney. Also the episode where Lucy and Viv are cooks at the boys camp, and Harvey Korman is the camp leader. Anytime you put Lucy and Viv in the kitchen together, it was comedy gold. Those episodes imho, rival some of the best episodes of “I Love Lucy”. When you’re watching The Lucy Show you especially relish the first two and half seasons with Vivian Vance because you’re aware of how awful the ensuing seasons will be. What made the Lucy Ricardo character enjoyable is that not only was the initial premise for each episode believable, the character was clever and resourceful. By the same token in the first few seasons of The Lucy Show, the premise for each episode was believable, and while the Lucy Carmichael character was not quite as clever as Lucy Ricardo, she was crafty. However, the later iterations of the Lucy character were an adult who was simply dumb, often not displaying the intelligence of an older child. The situations were contrived for any desperate attempt for a laugh via some ridiculous sight gag. One week you had Lucy being a meter maid. The next week she was an airline stewardess. The next week she was a stuntman in a movie . The following week she’s back to working in the bank. An absolute disaster of a show.
I don't mind a no-nonsense leader. Plus, at the time of I LOVE LUCY, I think it's fair to say that Lucy was going through a lot of inner turmoil with her crumbling marriage. I don't think her and Vivian Vance would have struck up a lifelong bond had Lucy been such a difficult, temper-throwing, control freak.
I recently bought a coffee mug with Lucille Ball holding up the Vitavetavegamen bottle and the writing on it was: I FEEL FINE BUT IT'S HOT IN HERE! I told my primary care physician about it, and her eyes glistened. I surprised her and bought her one too - she loved it. Extremely intelligent, caring doc who is the Head of the Medical Group and well respected in the medical community. I guess we're still out there.
Lucille Ball became controlling once Desi Arnaz was out of the picture. She knew she had to take over because it was her "arse" that was on the line, not only for the success of the show, but due to her position and value to CBS. One of the things that outsider may not realize is that in a "glamor profession" such as this, there are a number of talent and capable people as well as a lot of mediocre people who managed to "skate through" on the coat tails of others. They had poor work habits and would not be prepared. In an environment where a show has to be done in five days, a great deal of organization is necessary in order to have an efficient production. That's why people needed to be on their toes with Lucille Ball. Aside from doing her show, she was also running Desilu. So her time was very precious. In spite of the outward "fun," this was a serious business. But it worked. They completed a show before a live audience within an hour or so. Now I understand the filming for live audience shows can go as late as from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. That is an example of the contrast in professionalism and work ethic.
Desi Jr was a baby then for I love Lucy of course... but nice that Desi Jr and sister lucie starred w her on Here's Lucy..and . strict w them 2 to get it right:) they learned alot from her.
Wasn’t it her show her studio and in real terms she was the producer? I think in real terms you’ve got to be strong for wasted time is money. She had to experience ok knowing how to make something a success and truly I think it had to be her way. She did a great job!
Why is it that historic successful women who were difficult are praised when historic successful men who are difficult treated as abusers, and jerks? 🤷🏻♀️
This isn't new news. I've heard Lucy was difficult for over a decade. We seem to forget to credit writers and directors for their work. We tend to focus on actors. I believe even Lucy stated she wasn't funny. She is just able to ACT. We often ignore these people as individuals. But rather as their characters. Yes, she has a lot of power behind the scenes. But, she didn't write everything she ever said. She wasn't improv. Realistically, she only really did one thing in all her shows. Which, as a thinking man. Gets old. Don't get me wrong. I can enjoy her show. But, only periodically. As it's a ton of sameness. Which, would make sense. If she wasn't naturally funny. She may not be able to expand her comedy. And it was easier to just do the same thing since it worked anyway. Except her later years. Where she has some failures. Perhaps, Bec of her age or people finally getting a bit burned out for the sameness of it all. Plus, she couldn't do the physical humor as well as her health failed. Mind you, I am someone that watched a TON of tv. And can easily predict shows. Which, makes me harder to please than others. That may be able to turn it off. (Their mind) and just enjoy the show. This is partly my own fault as I am always on the defense. As well as a way to keep myself from being suspectable to propaganda. Which is often used in TV. Not specifically, talking about Lucy's shows. But, definitely in other shows. Over the last 30 years or even now.
These back stories and anecdotes ruin the lustre the tele-watching public has over these performers. These things do not need to be publicized. These shows and stars entertained us one and all. Certain information that may darken their images and reputation should remain insider info and not made public. Think about it, who gives a flying fku?! They worked hard at keeping public entertained, and we did love them. Whats the use of airing old dirty laundry? Keep all that old s$@t in the closet. A little mystery goes a long way, i say!
I know she was banned from one airline because she was so hateful to the crew working. Somewhere a flight attendant or someone asked her what she wanted to drink or eat and a woman who was serving as Ball's assistant told the woman that Miss Ball didn't speak to the help.
Well not so noteworthy or honorable is how she treated outside clerks & workers. She would vacation at Vale for skiing and it has been told the workers at the hotel were treated like second class citizens. Looks like the only one who had control of her was Desi. 😏
But, she was so set in her ways that she was only open to doing rhe same routines over and over until all freshness was gone!! Eventually lacking all creativity...
Yes, Sharksport01, I remember when she admitted herself that she WASN’T funny ! The writers made her that way. And in regards to stunts done on her shows, one of the writers stated there was NOTHING she wouldn’t DO ! (Daughter Lucie said she wasn’t funny too !)
I'm tired of all this b.s. surrounding this once glorious Hollywood icon. Lets move on already! Ladies milestones are far behind us. Enough! Time to turn the page...
Bette Davis was another one famous för often being very rude to her colleagues. She could be charming when she wanted to though. 😉 Lucy and Bette were impatient people especially when it came to 'slow thinkers' and above all, to those who hadnt done their homework or were unpunctual.
I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I never thought Lucy was funny. She came across, at least to me, as conniving, manipulative, needy, and attention-seeking. I did think she was beautiful though.
Know who else has a commanding presence, high expectations & pursues perfection?? Millions of women on the planet!!! Who cares about Lucile Ball?? She's been dead for 34 years & Gen X & Z could care less
That's hilarious! Many but not all people in these later generations have no idea what they missed when Lucy was queen of comedy. What they think is funny today pales in comparison to the greatest comedienne of the 20th Century😅

We absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Be safe and have a great day!
We're happy to know that you love the show. In your opinion, what is its best episode?
Lucille Ball was a real Sargent at work and with her own family. Sargent Ball. No wonder she drove Desi to drinking being married to a Sargent.
Was Lucille Ball a SIGMA female?
She was also a great beauty and walked like a woman who knew pride and dignity in herself and work. Yes, Talent we lack today

Strict perfectionists
Knowing her craft
Made her the successful comedian and business woman she is known for
She spent 20 years in movie business before her hit radio show which was transformed into a tv series thus began the legendary legacy of a a lady who we know as simply Lucy and the madcap adventures she got herself into over 20 years in television known, loved and respected by all
I miss Lucy

Beautiful words, thank you for your message for Lucy. May she find peace 🙏
She was a real beauty and talent. I cried when she died.
Never mind the nasty bits. She was a treasure. Much loved and much missed.

Lucille Ball was a genius
I agree with that 100%.
Give Lucille Ball a well written script and her comic genius was easily displayed! There were many good comedy performers during Lucy's time but none of them came close to equalling or surpassing her

Yes. I knew all about Ms. Ball’s perfectionism, and attention to detail.
When a man knows his mind he's assertive.
When a woman knows her mind she's difficult.
I saw her on Super password and i didn't see disgust at all.
I Love Lucille Ball - Marc Daniels was her original Director on I Love Lucy - his son always said to him and others that Lucille Ball was the greatest actor he ever directed - and he directed the likes of Laurence Olivier, Sally Fields, Julie Harris and Paul Newman.
Read her book, “Love Lucy”! You’ll love her even more!
Lucy was my boo 😍😍😍
Well, look who is on TV in every country in the world 70 years after its initial broadcast. I Love Lucy. ❤️
Interesting, thank you so much for sharing this info about Liz and Lucille. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?
Her mother said she wasn’t funny first. That she only delivered the lines other people wrote. She was being incredibly modest there.
You could tell she was a Ball buster.
I always know it's you speaking. You pride yourself that you know the word "iconic."

She had a bad temper because she knew she wasn’t really funny, but had everyone fooled.
She was brilliant on “I Love Lucy”. The first couple of years of The Lucy Show were good. After that there was a bunch of bad scripts, cue card reading and yelling of lines.
We absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. What is your favorite episode of the show?
Yes and sge was the best!!!!
Even her daughter described her as being hell on wheels
I have seen her on talk shows and she seemed very harsh. There didn’t seem to be alot of charm.
Ve ta Vi ta, Vitamins!!
Thanks for providing more context! What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?

So true! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?
Over the last 30 years or even now.
when a man did the exact same thing there would be no video about it,
These back stories and anecdotes ruin the lustre the tele-watching public has over these performers.
