Hi, You have just helped out a very confused 70 year old lady. I appreciate you not going into all that high tech stuff, it was to the point and simple to follow...... More importantly it Worked. Im so grateful that I came accross you video as it really was doing my head in. So I'm off to do my first lesson with a smile on dial. Many Many Thanks From Down Under
I've been looking for this info for over a year! So many searches, different wording/search engines/platforms every few months. Thank you! Thank you so much for this video! I was able to screen mirror from laptop to tv - it's profoundly pixelated and lags. Any tips appreciated. Super excited I'm at least on the right path now with this video!
Whoa SOOOOOO interesting!!!! Been to your local thrift store or big box store lately? Not that uncommon of a sight nowadays with hipsters and wannabees all turning into vinyl collectors
Sounds like a promo video to me.. This outcome is easily achievable with just my huawei 7x and my 55 in sony bravia smart tv. As follows. Ensure tv wireless display is activated by navigating to it's icon. Then via mobile handset, select settings icon, then select 'device connectivity, then select' wireless projection'. At this point your tv's model and number should appear as an option, then select your model. Once this is done you should see your phones screen... Not sure if I initially had to pair my phone with the tv, however if so just follow the prompts. Please dont waste your money on anything other than the right phone and tv, it really is so straightforward and I find the quality is excellent.
super helpful i was a little kid and f was always trying to do this but now my dreams can come true and share my movies with my family and my nona. so thankyou
Great video!!! Ready to pull my hair out trying to mirroring while in my camper. Android user who could not get wifi. You saved an old dude ,(not very tekie)...tk you for your time!!
Great video Caleb! I've always watched your videos for electronic help and suggestions. You explained how to screencast How do I change the TV into portrait mode. I've used the rotation on my Android device. Far as I know the images have to be rotated manually with a computer. Samsung has a Sero tv thats automatically changes from portrait to landscape. After I screencast from my phone how do I change it to portrait mode Is that possible to do? Thanks for the help! Great video btw! ❤
Very informative. I don't have a smart TV, do I need a Roku or can I just use the HDMI cable package on amazon it says that it is for mirroring or casting
How many of these damn how to vids do I have to watch before I find one that is not overly confusing. Is there a SIMPLE vid that shows how this is done without someone going on and on too fast?
it's a nice video but either i am missing something, I'm mirroring now but... i want to be able to use the iphone after mirroring starts... does that make sense?
When streaming RUclips, Netflix etc on my Android phone, I want to 'cast' (or mirror) that to my smart TV. Do I need to have a common wifi network to both devices for this to work? (Sorry if I missed this in the video). I'd like it to work just if my phone is on Verizon data.
I had to connect my smart tv to my hotspot and I’m having trouble mirroring Netflix and other streaming platforms. Any help on whether I can even do this or how would be appreciated thanks 🙏
Hi great video. But I have a sight problem I connect the Samsung S21 to the TV using a c-type and HDMI cable. It works in camera mode, but I can't hide or toggle the controls. The controls also appear on the tV. Trying to use this at our church with my s21 as a video camera. Is there a way to hide or toggle the controls in camera mode so they don't display on the screen? Thanks
Hi there I have a Samsung a50 and I bought the usb-c cable to HDMI little adapter and a ten foot cable to hookup my phone to the TV and it's not working?? Any suggestions on what I should try thanks I appreciate your help
Chromecast CAN do complete screen mirroring. All you have to do is when you go to cast in the settings of your Chrome web browser you can switch the source you're trying to cast to your tv. This can work with Windows or macOS. Your sources you can cast will be your current chrome tab, a file, or your desktop. Casting your desktop will basically mirror what's on your computer screen on the tv.
A silly question from my end, if my phone has lines on it's LCD (damaged screen), will it mirror the lines or damages too? I presume it shouldn't but I haven't tried at all.
Hello, I just recently discovered the mirroring feature of my android phone. When I first used it, it worked fine. Well, I had to try to figure out on my own just how I got the feature to work and how to get it to come back on my TV, after turning both my phone and TV off for awhile. - I have an LG smart TV. - And, I was able to watch and listen to my phone on my TV at first. Then, after pressing a few buttons to try and figure out the way to make the mirroring feature work again, I began having trouble with the sound and picture coming from my phone to my TV. I believe I have the sound problem fixed, but, I'm still having trouble with being able to mirror the picture. All I can get to show is like a digital equalizer with dots showing/blinking while the sound plays over my TV speakers. Plus, at the top - right of that screen, it has SCREEN OFF next to an X. I'd like to be able to have the sound coming from my sound system I have hooked up to my TV. Mostly, though, I need to figure out how to mirror the picture again. Would you possibly know what I can try to do so that I will be able to view the picture again ? I appreciate your help and advice.
Let's say I had to connect a Chromecast dongle to my phones hotspot. Would the data being used be comparable to that of streaming the content or would it use minimal data to maintain the connection to the Internet while the content is streaming from the cell phones data? I'm just wondering how much hotspot data would be used, if I solely relied on the hotspot for the Chromecast WiFi connection, while streaming a movie for an hour.
What's the best method(s) for a Samsung A12 to my Samsung smart-tv? Idk why the heck they took Mirroring feature out of it....I just had to retire my good ole trusty Note 2, that had it built right in and worked beautifully! The carriers are saying it's not compatible due to allegedly phasing out 3G, yet my Note 2 is 4G/LTE, they just do not want those great older phones being used! Far less tracking was built into them oldies compared to these newer phones!
Hi. I have an Android phone but when casting the voice is behind. Lip sync. But when I use my daughter's apple phone to do the same thing everything is perfect any ideas or should I buy a cheap Chromecast device of eBay or Amazon. I use 2019 Samsung TV Big up from Scotland 👌
Great video Caleb and explanation of the various ways to cast and mirror Android and iOs screens to one's smart stick or smart TV. I knew all about Miracast, Chromecast, MHL, AirPlay 2, Smart View (Screen Share etc) but didn't know about the Roku TV or Amazon Fire TV methods so great to know. And I sell TVs. Many people out there don't know that mirroring or casting is possible or how to get to doing it. 👍👍👍
I guess for me the key takeaway is"INTERNET ACCESS". DUE TO RECENT EVENTS I now only have internet access on my phone. My router is still connected however there is no internet broadcasting from it. So although my phone has internet access I cannot cast in any way shape or form that I know of to the TV directly. If there happens to be a solution I surely would like to know. Thanks.
My older macbook can't really play 4k, it stops, it loses frames, it just doesn't work (VLC player). if I cast it to chromecast will it play the video smoothly or is it also going to be crap? I want a chromecast for my projector but this a question that I just can't seem to find the answer on.
I have a brand new Sony Bravia XR A75L 65" OLED that got delivered today. My phone is a year old Motorola Moto G pure. I want to mirror what is on the phone on the TV. I can't for the life of me figure out why it won't do it. I can cast from an app like RUclips but I can't mirror the phone.
The vid makes it sound like it's very easy and straightforward, but it's not. Several kinda flippant instructions are short and have no details, which are either hard to locate or determine options/settings or just don't work. Better to find a detailed tutorial.
Hey my tv is just smart tv not Samsun but iStronger model tv and I use iPhone I don’t have Apple TV so how can I simply mirror cast my Netflix from iPhone to tv as when I try to mirror cast the tv doesn’t show up But on RUclips using AirPlay it does match up and play on tv
If I'm in my RV with no wifi network to connect to having only a power source a smart tv my cell phone and a chromecast dongle how would I go about mirroring ? My fiance had it working but she's now my x and I haven't got a clue how she did it nobody seems to be able to tell me how yet I know it can be done bcuz I saw her do it
How do i know for sure that im not screen mirroring? Coz its easy to accidentally tap the screen morror button in control center... how do i know if im currently connected to a device for screen mirroring??
I'm going to attempt to stream games from my PC at home to my phone via steam link (by valve) and then cast or mirror my screen to a tv to have a larger display. I'm sure the latency would be pretty bad but it's more of me just being curious to see if i can do it and use it when traveling. would one of these methods be the way to go or is there a hardwired way i could see my phone displayed on a tv to achieve less latency? Edit: i made this comment before you mentioned the cable at 5:48
When you don’t have an apple box or roku box I’ve been wanting to screen mirror on my tv for ages and I can’t figure out how to find in my settings in my tv to enable it lol
