You guys crack me up... especially Frankers, "Is it done yet?". All your cheeky little comments are quite clever... I can definitely relate to your sense of humor. Thanks for uploading and sharing this journey. I can't wait to see how it turns out... only 52 more episodes to go.
THE SPLICE GIRLS! 😆 🤣 😂 great work guys, the finished product is fantastic. I love it when people take a neglected "pos" or 2 or 3..and turn them into a thing of beauty 😍 Financially sound use of your energy? ...alot better than being locked to a screen. You have something amazing and a sense of pride to show for your time and dedication and that's worth more than a big stack of cash!
So as I said in another recent comment I had to go back and watch the playlist of the 60 Fury work. Just to appreciate even more the outcome of that beautiful blue classic. This playlist could be telling for a would-be preservationist. It's a pretty fascinating progression of the end vision of "it's just a driver" to what is the ultimate outcome. The Splice Strikes Back is the movie hall marque in lights. This is an extreme rescue of that classic design 2-door. It shows what planning, vision, research, hunting, perseverance, pure grunt work (drilling out welds), help, luck (laboring under correct knowledge), patience, help from generous donors, and so many more things are involved in the preservation of a machine that would have soon been too far gone. Scott is commended for accomplishing this pretty amazing transformation. Cheers.
Re-watching this whole series front to back. I’d forgotten about DOOR PANEL SPLICE concept. That would really take this splice-of-a-splice-of-a-splice to the ultimate Next Level.
As is often the case, I had to watch this twice, and some parts multiple times. What fun! “You piece of sh*t!”LOL “Whistling her through the woods. GRAMPA SLOW DOWN!” Frankers is *really* getting into this whole Fury Resurrection thing.
This car is very similar to my Hudson Hornet project. The car broke in two when I unloaded it, and took two four door parts cars to put it back together. Thanks for the entertaining videos.
While waiting patiently for the next exciting episode, I re-watched the whole series on the Frazer re-commissioning. I just love the shape and shabbiness of that car, sort of awkward but grand at the same time. Wonderful to see.
FrankenSplice LIVES!!! I really had my doubts in the beginning, especially with a unibody (I thought as soon as you whacked off the roof it would just fold up like a rusty taco). You guys have really stepped it up for 2018. Don't know if RUclips presents an award (the coveted"Tubie"?) for best miniseries featuring crispy Mopars , but you have my vote.
Scott, after I watched that video where you spliced together your brother's Torino I knew you were the Galactic Splice Wizard. I stand in awe of your talent.
My out most respect! Got here by watching your progress on the SM Beauty which I want to see so much more of. And now i am at awe! You sir have the Biggest Canadian Nuts I may have seen in my life! Thank you!
Probably the best example of automotive recycling I’ve ever seen. Really nice to see that Fury saved instead of being melted down to build another soulless blob of a modern car.
I've said it before and will say it again, I could watch you guys work all day. It's that interesting! Just astounding how it all fits so well. Great work! I can't wait to see more!! Thanks guys.
I absolutely love these videos. I await each one. I sincerely wish I had the time for this 'foolishness' in my own shop. It would put the fun back in it.
Amazing! Even in it's multi color, multi spliced, screw held together condition it's an absolute thing of beauty. Being able to back it out in that shape must have made you proud.
When I see the finished product, it's hard to picture the fury looked like this back then. Also it's interesting to hear you say let's not get too carried away and spend 200 hours on things! I understand why your attitude changed, as it was going to be a big job anyway. So damn it, let's do it nice!
Magnificent work! What about taking the rest of this new parts car - doors, etc and using them to rebuild that funky wagon? That thing is all kinds of cool with its weird trim, emblems and random features. Go for it!
Absolutely brilliant!! I am in the the North of England, all our old cars have rotted away because of the cold and constant rain,oh and the salt the roads in winter for that extra bit of corrosion. Our cars are small, the roads are narrow and gas is in the 7-8 dollars a gallon. Love these old 50s cars.cant wait for each episode.Your the best car program on you tube, and yes i include roadkill in that statement!
What a magnificent car! Back when I was still in grade school (96 students total) our pretty new teacher drove one of these to school. Blue and white and chrome, I couldn’t take my eyes off it. She parked in the teacher’s lot which held about 4 or 5 cars and I’d sneak around when I could get away with it to marvel from a distance at this big blue juke box. One day it snowed and she left the car parked where it was. Living close to the school I stole back to look in the windows. Unbelievable! I don’t know how long I stood and stared . I’ve never forgotten that car and have a special spot for 60 Fury’s . “When too much isn’t enough”, bring on the chrome! Bring on the bling!
Great project, checking daily for your next update. I know you were not planning on a paint job but that vanilla color on the rear looked really cool backing out of the garage. My vote is for a Chrysler Cool Vanilla spray job. Keep splicing.
1000% AWESOME! Nothing like taking 3 piles of chicken poop, and making a great chicken salad out of it. Best car videos on RUclips! I really enjoy watching you remake that Fury.
Amazing! I've said this before, but I wish that instead of the stupid subscription to Hot Rod magazine I had as a teen, which filled my head with unobtainable goals, I had known some guys doing awesome work like you, on a budget of zero (no internet back then...I'm old). You can bet this channel is inspiring a lot of people. Watching you plan and execute this project has been an education. Dean: "Look at this...it has everything!" Scott: "No, it doesn't! It has nothing!" Dean, we love you, man.
"Splice on the Ice" New listing category needed in World Almanac of Strangest Automotive events in World History. I can't believe you actually did it, Bravo!
I've built London Taxis for LTI, Peugeot 206's for Peugeot Citroen and Bikes for Triumph motorcycles, but damn! This is proper building! Carry on splicing.
AWESOME Scott! I did much of this on my 1957 Plymouth Savoy that sat in the woods for 30+ years....Wish I still had that car....But my 61 Chrysler is more important.....I just need to get busy on it....Keep up the great work!
I'd once read that Virgil Exner was quite the taskmaster.... Damn near 60 years later, and 45+ years after his passing, his 'curse' continues! I visit Arthur Tussik for the collision work, and coldwarmotors for the rest of my automotive needs. My family was in the body shop business for 80 years, and my 'darn near 90 y/o' uncles visit every few weeks to 'watch their Canadian counterparts'. That 'nearly complete sub-assembly' marriage, has had them talking nonstop since Sunday dinner!
This is all just tooooo wonderful. In all of this half hour of deliciousness, oddly enough I have to say my favorite minute or so was the casual, but enormously deft, hammer and dolly work. Yippee for Coldwarriors!
Just finished watch the 200th episode of Cold War Motors, looking forward to seeing at least 200 more. Thanks to you, Frankers and all the agents for the great videos. I have 200 liked videos and they are all CWM videos.
One really gets a "feel" for how Dean cares for these "stray" cars when at 6:01 the word "cut" gets stuck in his Craw. Must be nice to be a feral cat in his neighborhood.😺
I wonder what those guys from back on the assembly line, like at the start of the Christine movie, would be saying right now about this amazing project. They would probably reminisce about the glory days of the all-new unibody construction.....and warn - "whatever you do Frankers - don't flick any cigar ashes on the front seat..." Great work guys! Really enjoying the progress!
The Resplicening seems to be a great success and, as you said, it's going to save hundreds of hours of remaking and straightening, even if the replacement parts have a little damage. It's coming together well, even if we don't necessarily see the hours and hours of fettling, trimming, adjusting and modifying that goes on between each video. It really is starting to look like a car again, and having it drive for the first time as a Fury must be a nice pick-me-up as the weather turns cold and icy...
Most wouldn’t go to this much effort to restore a first year Ferrari. I love this project. You guys are the are the best thing on You Tube X10. This is better than making aTrans Am out of a Volvo.
Outstanding! Fits like a jigsaw puzzle. So inspiring to see it in one piece and actually moving under it's own power. And I've got some of those barb wire tracks on the trunk lid of the Merc too. All part of the history.
@Leonard Carr Hey Kiwi!!! Nah, we don't have your Falcons here in Argentina. The only model manufactured here was what you know there as the XK from the 60s (the very first one), and it was manufactured here with the same body (with minor changes) up until 1991! We never knew other Falcon models. Hell! If it wasn't for the Aussie Supercars, I would have never find out that the Falcon was still being manufactured AND upgraded! This was the last Falcon out of the factory here in Argentina: ruclips.net/video/JpzgYzaTxO4/видео.html
This is the coolest car build I have ever seen ( and I've been at this type of "repair" for 40 years ). I love the cardboard ( I mean corrugated paper product, please use the correct terminology..right?) quarter windows. Semi-restore,drive as is "Splicetina?", its ready to storm the scene at Pebble beach. Any way you go with car its a win! Thanks for a great project.
Love your channel! Only a Canadian shaves a nice thick beard to work outdoors at the start of winter ! Even ‘Michiganians’ don’t do that.....ps...I thought about it until it dropped to ten degrees below freezing last night (Gary in Michigan)
Congratulation for the great donor car.! I recall you saying: "Please don't make me fix that!" in the last episode. Now you made a leap forward. Still a hell of a work, but I bet you can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I have been watching this episode the moment it was uploaded. But I did not have the time to leave a comment yet. I was checking for your upload more than ten times before it came up. I always cannot wait for your uploads.
Scott, first great work! Second thank you for showing me how to do this type of work. I’m only a senior in high school and I’m learning about splicing cars. This winter I am going to splice the drivers and passengers side front body mounts and rockers with ones from a junkyard! I’m using your videos as a guide for my projects. If you could show more if the actual cutting and welding process tools drille welding techniques etc that would be great. Keep up the good work

Car Trek 6, The Search for Splices. How I love the gaudy-baroque space age styling. Such an uplifting antidote to the cars of today. I impatiently wait for every installment.
I'm just amazed that parts cars can still be readily sourced, considering the steel from those has long since seen it's second or third pass thru some Asian appliance factory by now. Our local yards would be hard pressed to have anything earlier than mid-80's, and not even alot of that vintage anymore. Awesome series so far Scott.

This is waaay beyond car repair. Alchemy! ⚡️🛠☯️

kinda fun to go back and revisit the beginning of the resurrection of the Fury.
What an inspiring series of splices...!
Re-watching this whole series front to back. I’d forgotten about DOOR PANEL SPLICE concept. That would really take this splice-of-a-splice-of-a-splice to the ultimate Next Level.

So many cars used to make one daily driver! Variety is the splice of life!
I'm rewatching again as well, this restoration process is incredible 🤯.
Never expected it to move under its own steam at the end of this one! Trully impressive Dudes.
I like your perspective at looking at things . you see what they are but what they could be. Thanks for sharing 🏆
So much fun watching this car literally come together!
I love the splice jobs going on here. Guys, I respect your talent. Good to see a 2 door getting the save treatment.
‘It was nice when it was new! 😂😂. Dean’s the man👍 Great update guys
The project is coming along beauteously. Absolutely marvelistic!
Will never forget, metal artist, this vid is the best then and now...never gets old...fantastic again Scott
Dean is a fascinating character of a man! His love of cars goes right down the care he shows when he works on Scott's car!
More Dean Please!
While waiting patiently for the next exciting episode, I re-watched the whole series on the Frazer re-commissioning. I just love the shape and shabbiness of that car, sort of awkward but grand at the same time. Wonderful to see.
Splicing a splice is a good move to eliminate a ton of metal re-fab on the old rust bucket. Doing a great job.
Awesome, could've watched that way longer. The splice of life. Funny, red, blue and yellow, the three primaries.
FrankenSplice LIVES!!! I really had my doubts in the beginning, especially with a unibody (I thought as soon as you whacked off the roof it would just fold up like a rusty taco). Scott, after I watched that video where you spliced together your brother's Torino I knew you were the Galactic Splice Wizard. I stand in awe of your talent.
I really hope that wagon isn't gonna to be left to melt into the Earth. Excellent series!
Love these "daily" build-ups! Keep up the good work.
My out most respect! Got here by watching your progress on the SM Beauty which I want to see so much more of.
And now i am at awe! You sir have the Biggest Canadian Nuts I may have seen in my life!

Man that’s going to be a cool car! Your fitment of all those parts is remarkable
Probably the best example of automotive recycling I’ve ever seen. Really nice to see that Fury saved instead of being melted down to build another soulless blob of a modern car.
Such great fortune to find these parts cars! This will be the coolest go for beer n chips rig ever !!
It’s literally one of those videos you need to see to believe. Genius!
I've said it before and will say it again, I could watch you guys work all day. It's that interesting! Just astounding how it all fits so well. Great work! I can't wait to see more!! Thanks guys.

May the splice be with you, Scott. Excellent job as always. I love the splice a thon videos.
Nice... good work...how u keep the plan in your head is beyond me....
Breaks that tell you when youre breaking...class...

Progress!! It's always satisfying to cut away old rusted junk and put something "gooder" back in.
Hearing Scott at 32:40 cracked me up! This show is always the highlight of my day whenever there's a new upload. Thanks for sharing!
Magnificent work! What about taking the rest of this new parts car - doors, etc and using them to rebuild that funky wagon? That thing is all kinds of cool with its weird trim, emblems and random features. Go for it!
“ This is only level 2 sketchy. “ Love you guys

Alsome video. Very impressive craftsmenship Scotty. Really cool car to save. Can't wait to see the next video. Thanks
Bravo! Coolest damn thrice-spliced vehicle on the planet!
Amazing job. Even the gaps are gonna be near perfect when you have finished. All that measuring and hard work is paying off.
Great project, checking daily for your next update. I know you were not planning on a paint job but that vanilla color on the rear looked really cool backing out of the garage. My vote is for a Chrysler Cool Vanilla spray job. Keep splicing.
What an incredible cut and recreate effort. Thanks for sharing. It shows you what can be achieved. Wow!
So basically you kept the original roof and two doors. Amazing work. Frakenfury!!
Always get excited when Dean appears! He makes me laugh like non-stop the entire time he is filming and talking.
This channel is the best. Who else would attempt such art?
Frankers is really developing! I wish I had one like her♥️♥️♥️☹️
Nothing like sitting down for lunch opening RUclips and seeing this waiting for me!
Your projects are by far the best on youtube.....look forward to the next episode.
Life! ....Life! ...Give my creation LIFE! Frankencar!
Cool stuff here eh! You guys are genuine craftsmen. Love your vids.
Great work every part makes it that much better. Runs and nice and solid just keep working on it.
1000% AWESOME! Nothing like taking 3 piles of chicken poop, and making a great chicken salad out of it. Best car videos on RUclips! I really enjoy watching you remake that Fury.
Wow! Best recycling of cars I have ever seen , awesome

Going where most men would be afraid to go ! Shaping up beautifully, like a patch work quilt.

The whole time I'm watching this I have that Johnny cash song going off in my head one piece at a time

Like the absence of a beard. We can actually see you now. Great Plymouth build. So muck fun to watch. Thanks.
I'm glad you found the ass-end that you wanted. It will turn out so much better for you. Can't wait to see it finished next year.
Just keeps getting better and better, brilliant vid Scott. Splice-a-thon has me hooked!
Most wouldn’t go to this much effort to restore a first year Ferrari. I love this project. You guys are the are the best thing on You Tube X10. This is better than making aTrans Am out of a Volvo.
Made my day... something to look forward to watching.. the maestro at work.. a true artist at work
Outstanding! Fits like a jigsaw puzzle. So inspiring to see it in one piece and actually moving under it's own power. And I've got some of those barb wire tracks on the trunk lid of the Merc too. All part of the history.
Introducing the all new 1960 Plymouth Splicer! Absolutely loving this build. Well done Scott and fellow agents.
That car must smell really nice with all that "Old Splice" on it !
Hey! The best old car smells came from my dad's Old Spice and cigarettes! lol
Holy Moly!
I didn’t think it was possible but OMG God!
A 1960 Plymouth 4 door with the fancy fake spare tire thing on the trunk lid...
Love it!
It's a 1960 Plymouth Furry Splicer.
Great work guys. I'm glad you're sacrificing the old parts cars in order to bring that beauty back to life.
'Dean, you're wrecking my new car, man!' That's why I love this channel!! Cheers from Argentina guys!
@Leonard Carr Hey Kiwi!!! Nah, we don't have your Falcons here in Argentina. Dean the Dipstick Dropper!
Car still runs and drives...show off! Love you guys in the dude way...
Such a cool splice job. A 3 in one car. I can hear Johnny Cash singing in the background “One Piece at a Time “
what a great job you guys are doing,,
Hay musnsie you do cool things too I like very much 😁
I even enjoy re-watching shows that I have watched before.
I love this car, I love what your doing. You never cease to amaze.
Keep up the good work
Haven't clicked on a video so fast, highly anticipated this vid. Enjoy every adventure you take us on.
Yayuh ! Same here man. I think this channel is JUST RIGHT (always plenty of LOL moments) -and I love these projects. All this far-sighted vision and ingenious skill just excites the hell outta me. Just to chip my bit-in.
Car Trek 6, The Search for Splices. How I love the gaudy-baroque space age styling. Such an uplifting antidote to the cars of today. I impatiently wait for every installment.
Dad bought a new 60 dodge pioneer wagon with 9 seats. Great memory. Thanks
Excellent project sir. You will be able to use the Goose neck gas tank. Thanks to all the Agents.CHEERS Nice find sir.
Absolutely amazing, what talent you have.
That's a mighty fine splicimen of a '60 Fury. I'll say that for it.
