My son and I are going to play as Fl4k and Moze on a playthrough and Amara and Zane on another. I don't know if we'll jump back and forth, or just finish a playthrough before switching, try to hit max level before switching, etc. The other thing we'll have to wait to see on, is when the DLC packs come out and how they scale with your level. Playing them on TVHM versus standard, etc.

I played 1 and 2 with my wife, originally, but in anticipation for 3 and since my son is now old enough to understand how to play, he and I went through 1, 2, Pre Sequel and Tales (I only made it most of the way through episode 4, so I'll still have to play the final episode of that). We played a little of 3 last night.

I never thought that one legend relic that increased your shields by 100% but blocked all your health to 1 would be useful-
Pair it with one of her legendary Coms. It buffs Thin Red Line, Phalanx Doctrine, and Desperate Measures. Along with making any healing she gets apply to her shield instead of her health.
It is very very very very useful
Also having now tried the "God Queen Moze" build, Bahroos name for it, I think the Titan Moze build is much MUCH better than it. I had about 90% of the gear he showed and the exact skill tree load out and was getting downed constantly. Yes it gets out of FFYL decently but Id rather never BE in FFYL than have to hope my nades or Flaker or whatever hits right to get me up.
IDK maybe that build works better if your at like Guardian rank 500+ where you have some ridiculous bonuses, but at level 50 sub 100 GR Titan Moze beats Nade Spam Moze every day of the week.

I feel like giving Moze more mobility would make her op. She can be tanky or strong enough to kill enemies before they land a shot. With more speed, she’d be a war machine.
Rushin Offensive- shoot while sprinting
Fuel Economy- increases movement speed
Rushin Offensive is for Moze
Fuel Economy is for Iron Bear
She already is a fucking war machine
I did my first walkthrough with her, used her V-35 rocket pods and demolished everything in my path. The damage output is insane, boss fights are so easy it almost feels like cheating. Also, there’s a legendary class mod that allows 50% more duration time and takes 50% less fuel from iron bear so you can be in it so much longer and deal more damage. It’s so much fun to destroy absolutely anything and the regeneration is fast with the other passive skills that pair with it. Also being able to throw grenades in final stand is amazing, can’t tell ya how many times I’ve ran out of time because of reloading. 10/10

Moze can be pretty powerfull outside of ib if you have the right build
I know you’re probably super busy and may not see this for a while, but I would love it if you could go over a solo Moze build that you haven’t talked about yet! With Dakka Bear she gets a turret on the back of IB, what no one has talked about is the fact that using the Auto Bear skill, when you hop out of IB you can then jump into the turret yourself! The survivability of this is increased with Security Bear, because the bubble shield not only protects him, but also Moze while she’s in the turret. I do this all the time even with other players in my game. Not to mention once you get Auto Bear, IB ALWAYS stands guard for 15 seconds no matter how long you were in him or how long he was on cool down. I often will run into a battle, summon IB, immediately get back out, jump into the turret just as the shield pops up and I get two extra automated guns for 15 seconds and if anything is still standing IB launches himself at them after the duration. The best part about this is because once you’ve gotten out of IB your cool down starts, when you jump in, then out, by the time IB launches himself at an enemy you only have a few seconds left before you can summon him again. The turret seems to do about the same amount of damage as his mini gun arms

This is character for me, sure might not be as exciting or interesting as the others. But effective and will always have good performance at all times.

What if you use bottomless mags with one of the guns that stick and dont explode until you reload. That would be a lot of damage!

See I went straight for a SoR Moze build running Thin Red Line + Desperate Measures and then synergising with a few bottomless mags skills

Nice video, although I don't agree with some of your opinions (like the comment about her movement speed). Also, I noticed you either forgot or didn't know about a little feature of Iron Bear since you didn't mention it. When you exit the mech early, before your fuel or health runs out, you will actually get a small refund in your cooldown. This refund seems to vary based on the amount of fuel you have left and I've seen anywhere from a small sliver of cooldown to a half full skill. Adds a nice bit of nuance to Iron Bear, and I actually find myself exiting it early during a fight if I feel it won't end before my fuel runs out and there isn't any strong enemies around.
There’s also an auto-bear ability where sometimes just use the ability and get out of it either immediately or before half-way. It’s not the best, but it’s fun to mess around with.
DW Moze with a storm front and a Blast Master legendary com is bonkers. Infinite healing grenades that chain to enemies and crit. It's extremely OP and fun!
With Demolition Woman I think Moze and Tina would get along well with each other
If you exit iorn bear right away with auto bear and dokka turret active you can use iorn bears turret while it shoots and regain iorn bear considerably faster afterwards
This can also be used to constantly have IB ready for a safety net. instead of using IB's full duration just pop in/out everytime you need a shield regen or super tank, that way you aren't SoL for 2 minutes. Also the debuff rocket aug is nice when combined with Auto bear. Also try finding a mod that gives you 30 sec or auto bear instead of 15
Lvl 50 she going to be crazy
She will be unstoppable but still it will get very repetitive using her until then. Wish she had more variation.

But I have my reasons
i am still fairly early game with moze, but her bottomless mags tree seems to work amazingly well with Tediore weapons, i found the ones that become turrets when you reload to be most useful. if i am in a difficult fight where i am outnumbered significantly, i will simply fire a couple shots from my Tediore gun reload while the gun has a mostly full mag and let my newly created turret gun run around distracting enemies (because they will fire at the turret guns) and murdering because the Tediore turrets consistently score large numbers of crits. when the turret guns run out of ammo (which can take a while with the proper build on bottomless mags) they will leap at the nearest enemy and explode. the Tediore turret guns are also amazing for dealing with enemies behind cover or using riot shields to protect themselves.
there are few things more satisfying than watching a heavily wounded enemy line up to shoot you and you do nothing as your kamikaze turret gun leaps at them from behind to finish them off. you do have to be careful where you are aiming when you reload though, the turret guns will simply explode (still deals lots of damage) if they collide with an enemy when thrown.
I plan to combine the Salamander/Fuel Economy with the Bear Fist/ Close the Distance
Having been playing as a mechromancer in 2 I'm more than willing to play any other character that uses mechs.
It's good to hear that the mech scales well. I saw some proving grounds gameplay and was concerned that the mech was going to be bad. Looking forward to hear how it performs at even higher level.

About Moze's mobility, she can shoot on the run, how bad this skill is?
Big important question for Moze to consider. Does "Thin Red Line" in the red tree stop you from health gating? In BL2 you had to be above 50% max health to health gate however TRL stops you at 40%.
Moze's mech has a ton of mobility. try spam jumping sideways and being able to shoot forward. She can bunny hop with her mech very very quickly

What the hell happens if you do this with a rough rider, I guess due to health boost the max shield boost would be higher than most not as high as one shield though, but the damage resistance would more than make up for it, only problem is Moze has to manually charge the shield like vampire due to no natural regen.
moze now in iron bear is absolutely beastly, vanquisher rocket pods with active tracking is massive overkill. you can kill any boss that doesn't have a immune phase in 1 burst.

SquintyFilipino Zane is amazing with his clone and barrier! He got an ability that regen grenades and automatically throw them. He can activate two skills simultaneously!
Fun fact: Moze's full name is Moserah Hayussinian Yan-Lun al-Amir Andreyevna. So her name has Hebrew, Arabic, Mandarin, and Russian origins. So she's like... Everything-Eastern, it seems.
I almost feel like there isn't really a choice here. Explosions, baby. You're telling me the build that allows me to be a less badass Mr.Torgue with nuclear missiles and grenade machineguns also allows me to spens 80% of my time in the mech? Screw the shield build and the unlimited ammo, I WANT THE MEEEEECH!
I started a moze playthru and the blue skill tree is busted. I love it
was kind of hoping moze would be like gaige, in the sense that you could call in her mech to be autonomous, but you could get into it if you needed temporary safety and/or dmg boost.
She does have a skill that lets iron bear act on its own
Yep it's maxed for 15 seconds I believe but if you get out before it explodes it will fight beside you for that time. With a portable dome shield too if you get the perk

Not too long. Also there's a skill that reduces the cool down as well. Also skill that increases length of the skill. I run double rockets and it lasts for over a minute easy with groups

I've been enjoying the brawler ward shield on her, personally (first playthrough of normal mode). good capacity and constant healing to offset the Max health debuff from thin red line. Not optimal, I imagine, but it's hella rare for me to go down between the rediculous shield capacity I've specced her for, the damage reduction from armored infantry, plus the damage buffs from the shields passive and desperate measures

Yeah her mech is fucking sick early game, I'm level 24 right now, taking my time. Her mech can clear out a mob of enemies easily, hope it retains this to endgame.
There is a COV weapon that harms you the longer you have the trigger held beyond max heat.
2 skills
Click click - lower the mag or cov higher the heat you gain increased gun damage.
Desperate measures. - lower your health the more gun damage you do.
Imagine those 2 skills and that one COV weapon altogether eliminating bosses. I cannot wait to try that out.
In this, Mose is my favorite.
Since this video came out just to let you people know Iron Bear is actually very broken now (meaning very very overpowered), back then at launch Iron Bear did very little damage so most builds were focused on Splash Damage, you’d just use Iron Bear as a trigger for your Splash anointments and that’s the build most Moze mains ran. Now in 2021 an Iron Bear Build is fine, these builds focus on Iron Bear and uptime to make sure Iron Bear and their over poweredness is always available. All augments for Iron Bear are viable in endgame due to buffs, but Salamander is still bad even with buffs.

So her kill skills are
Bottomless mags: Forge, redistrubution, and some for the road
Shield of retribution: Drowning in Brass, Phalanx Doctrine,
Demo. Woman: fire in the skag den, means of distruction, pull the holy pin
The only guide you'll get is playing the character and figuring it out yourself. There really is no guide to borderlands. It really is in how you want to play it. True gaming bliss!

Yeah it really depends on the gear you have available at the time
I was hoping the bot could of been a bit more like a summon in the same style sense as Gaige had in borerlands 2. Just imagine using the skill and having it drop in like titan fall, automatically shoot and the choice of you or co-op partners being able to jump in or man the turrent. Still, greatly informative video with a lot of tips. Hate to see my favorite character seem pretty limited in play styles but oh well, maybe we can all come up with some unique mix and matches to make her more interesting later on.
yeah i really wish there was more of a summon aspect to Iron Bear similar to Ashe and Bob from Overwatch, as it seems he'll only be autonomous for a little bit when you exit the mech
This build is a thing. Moze even has a Gaige head to look like her. And you can build Moze so that Iron bear fights along side you for 15 seconds, then you get him back in 10 seconds or less and summon him again. Think of it as a Deathtrap that doesn't last as long, but can be used more often and actually deals huge damage or status effects. All you need is the Auto Bear skill and a skill to reduce AS cooldown.
Pop Iron bear and exit, after the 15 seconds of auto bear you will have 4/5ths of your AS cooldown returned, then get 2-3 kills to reduce the remaining cooldown and whalla Iron bear is ready again!
If you pop iron bear and immediately exit you get 4/5ths of your AS cooldown returned. This has synergy with Auto bear skill and a action skill cooldown rate kill skill.

Iron Bear has felt godly in single player but anyone else feel like it's borderline useless in 3+ person co-op?

To me moze is like playing Titanfall. Call in your Titan and wreck shit and then hop on out and finish them off. Still as for skills I specced into bottomless mags but shield or retribution sounds more up my alley with staying alive since I’m forced to solo a great deal.

If you pair bottomless mags with the investing blistering green monster class mod, you gain corrosive damage the longer you continuously fire your weapon, so pair that with vladof rifle means you'll do a butt load of corrosive damage on top of the fire damage you already do. (Btw I'm now level 59, i maxed out bottomless mags, and currently I'm working down shield of retribution those two skill trees have pretty good synergy)
One of the issues, maybe not with all the VH, but deffo with Moze, is how to mix and match between the trees, especially early on. Is it worth getting to Phalanx Doctrine (in Shield of Retribution) before sinking points into (for example) Cloud of Lead? Or is mixing trees going to make your build shite at level whatever when you meet great big fat flying fcukers with death rays? There is some fun in finding out but it would really piss me off if I was getting bested due to a bad skill tree setup.

Sucks because she looked like she had so much potential and variation from trailers. You can't even slide then pop your Mec ability. You have to ether stand still or you can do it mid air but still being able to do a badass slide into a mec would have been cool so im kinda sad I've put so much time into her. I felt siren and beast master were gonna be over used but now i understand why. Still the games fun and Mose is a absolute tank and godly in situations.

@@TheCnicus im level 24 right now. Mose is good, just deserves more perk variation.
Stick with it she doesn't really open up until 30+. On paper a lot of her skills don't seem crazy or flashy but trust me Moze is op. Once you play a different character you will appreciate how powerful Shield of retribution tree is. If you get bored with he like i did mid game just play a different character for a while :) She is very gear dependent so don't get discouraged with her while leveling up just stick with her the payoff is insanely good.
