Fist over matter look super cool, too bad it too far in the tree. My heart balance between crawl and mystical assault. Dual cast your ability for plenty of homing missiles :D
I wonder if fist over matter work well with another maxed tree (I think you can do it near max level). The red tree feel the most boring outside it's abilities.
i'd say 'why not both' but that's not really applicable until UVHM

@@JackbatMurphy you can get brawl capstone and fist over matter, but near lvl 48. you need 46 skills point and can have 48 in total. Fist of element look not great like that, but perhaps it's because we don't take into considerations the cool weapons you can use. It's a tree that can work with any weapons so the fun is limited by the weapons you find. The only thing I hate is that fist over matter is the only ability I really want and it's the last one you unlock.
I love, love, love how short her cooldowns can be! Just reaffirmed my choice to play her first.

As a Maya/siren main, kinda upset they gave her Mayas grasp. Been playing that style for 8 years, should’ve given amara a different ability
Personally I loved it. Maya was my second favorite BL2 character and I loved the utility of phaselock. It feels great to have it back in a new way with new build potential.

So this is why the devs didnt say too much on Amara. They focused on everyone else's skills and trees. The public automatically thought that Amara was straight forward ability wise. But now seeing she is the most versatile skill wise is freaking crazy. You can basically mix n match her skills to come up with unique abilities.... She is actually the most complex of the 4 skills and abilities wise
So unique she needs phasezerker for everything 🤣
She definitely seems the least interesting outta the 4 i agree
keep in mind you don't have to use the skill of one tree to go down that tree. You can run mystical assault with phasegrasp fists for instance so that you can ensure you hit the target
Thanks. This was my question and why I came to the video. I didnt understand if I had to stick to one tree or how the passives of the trees would work.

More generally, thanks for the great and detailed video with all the pros, cons, and comparisons. And for taking care to avoid spoilers while doing so. You’re good people.
At a glance to me her best tree isn't a single tree but a hybrid tree. For Brawl a lot of her great surviability skills happen early and are tied to action skill activation, go all the way down Mystical Assault for the capstone, especially skills that help elemental chance, damage from action skill activation, (don't touch action skill damage). Lastly use the phasegrasp action skill (shortest cooldown, never misses, great CC), pick up skills related to status effect. Amara easily has the best synergy between all her trees. I would build her like a caster where many of her great skills come from action skill activation. All her skill play well across trees so endgame builds for her are far more intriguing.

im building her with the elemental damage passives in the FotE tree mixed with Mystical Assault. The damage is insane, rush builds up so quick.
This is the most useful video I've seen on tomorrow so far everybody else just wants to show the regular action skills and then show brawl I am so happy to see all the different things you can do with her action skills

Something that helps early game is that Amara can use Phase Grasp to activate her arms. With Phase grasp if you miss it goes on a 1 second cooldown.
This allows you to keep Clarity (2x health regen), Helping Hands (40% DMR), & Find your center (100% Melee Damage & 75% range) fom the Brawl tree up 100% of the time.
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for before I choose a character. Thank you!!

I recommend checking out the class mod "Phasezerker" for phasecast build, where you activate a massive amount of % bonus damage and HUGE lifereg as you use phasecast. With the bonus of being able to activate twice per cooldown

true, its pretty confusing for me when i played amara in a low level, because i thought she meant to charge in to the battlefield, but her durability is still easily overwhelmed and her fist damage seems tickles, then i realized amara early game still depends on guns, the more Brawl tree i acquire, the more she reliable for close-range battle, i start to feel OP when amara reached around Lv. 15. Thankyou for the guide bro
I actually like the phase grasp ability with the singularity augment. Really want to combo that with phase grasp variations and get some crazy dps especially if explosives get brought into the mix

The brawl tree provides some really good health and shield regen abilities, as well as the increased weapon damage ability the closer you are to your target, it did take a while for me to get used to that super aggressive playstyle though, but it has been well worth it in the long run .
Another great video. I think I'd go with Brawl. It just seems like the thing that makes Amara stand out from the other two sirens (Lilith being kind of an evasion specialist and Maya being a controller).

Amara was definetly my last choice in character just based on first impressions, but honestly I really like the look of most of her skills and will 100% be playing her first
all three trees synergize well with each other. For example, the elemental damage passives in Fist of the Elements fix the holes in Mystical Assault.

Admiral bahroos Zane build and fl4k builds look fun but all of the trees on Amara look fun and work together for lots of variation if she starts to feel stale so that's why I think she will make a good main

Today first day ever playing borderlands... and this video was all I needed
Damn, over here making me want to play Amara even more. And I'm going for Fist of the Elements.
I've been playing fist of the elements, and one thing i discovered is that you can change your element modifier during combat. This menas i you find yourself up against a shock type, and a hcunk of your total samage is being reisted because your weapon damage is converted to shock type, you can simply turn on the fire type mod and get back to doing damage. i think it's only lock while an ability is active.
I expect hee to be the strongest character down the line. There are guns that give skillpoints like class mods and her ability to late game be able to have high gun and melee damage is great.
Definately starting amara brawl, but looking forward to trying lots of builds with her.

One thing I like is that the camera zooms out and lets you see Amara's character in third-person during some of her attacks (Destiny/Deus Ex style). Makes me wonder if the game could actually be played in third-person as an option without affecting performance.
Yeah. I play console, too, and deciding how my character looks is one of my favourite things, so it'd be nice if we had the option to actually look at our characters all the time instead of just in the menu.
I'd probably still play 1st a lot of the time, but being able to switch out to admire my character in less intense battles would be neat.

I think one of most overlooked things with Fist Of The Elements is that you can have double elemental weapons. Converting your action skill element to your weapon along with an elemental weapon. I tear stuff up with a radiation and fire fusion

My only reservation with Amara has been that Maya was my fave from BL2, and Fist of the Elements has been a little too familiar. Thanks for the content!

I mainly play mystical assault I only put levels into the class and was just messing around but the debuff the enemy gets is amazing
Def I´m gonna use her, it´s like Maya from BD2 the phase lock ability is SUPER USEFUL if you are playing in Co-Op
A note to your brawl tree and distance making it weak, there is a legendary shotgun that scales based on your melee damage.

at first, I was going to go with fl4k (because I always wanted a spiderant pet), but now I'm leaning more towards Amara.

I reached max level with Moze yesterday and just went to start a playthrough as Amara her skill tree is very lackluster just from reading the descriptions (I've went 95% blind into the game btw so this is my first look at them) it's put me off the character immensely, I hope I'm wrong cause Moze was fantastic and I actually struggled with choosing where to go with it cause the skills she has are fantastic, I'll be definitely using this video as reference for when I get back to Amara last

Mystic assault sounds like my style. I like builds that really take advantage of my action skill.
I’m running a hybrid fist/mystic. Leaning mystic cause phase cast will clear a whole room is you know how to land your shots. Don’t sleep on mystic assault. Grab the elemental buffs from FoE and the fire element and the nova augment and then spec mystic how you choose
Grab the health from brawl if you’re insecure but I think it’s a waste of skills if you can just play distance rather then trying to melee while not playing brawl
Dealing with bosses who are sponges this is great cause you can burn them down even if your having a rough go

Mystical assault is great with the legendary class mod that gives u max rush stacks when u use ur ability great with capstone perk
