So, all side quests will be available after completing the story eh? Looks like this will be the first game I do all my side quests after finishing the main game. The ability to turn on Mayhem Mode and then go back to complete everything is such a nice feature.

Yup! In a lot of games doing too many sidequests makes the main story mode way too easy as you end up basically OP. This is a pretty damn interesting mechanic.

you could do the side missions in the first run through and then save them in true vault hunter mode
Nate Fiacco just finished tvhm without doing any side quest and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done 😂
@@So_Civil only do one sidequest. It's not until Eden-6 but it's called Raiders Of The Lost Rack. It gives you a Porcelien Pipe Bomb grenade mode that basically can 1-2 hit any of the bosses if you hit the enemy.

Bl3 is still an online looter shooter. All the looter shooters can be played single player as well
It's great fun. But I have to say the division 2 had an insane amount of content on launch. Not sure if you played it, but you should.

My friend got a legendary weapon from the 2nd brain boss and when he reloads he throws the gun and it turns into a brain with legs that then turns into a turret lol it's awesome and I'm totally farming that boss in mayhem

It is the legendary drop from shrakk I think. You can find him for the legendary hunt outside the building for mouthpiece on that map.

Crossroads is in the general loot table and drops from just about anything
Found 1 in a locker and have had 30 drop from graveward

i leveled from my endgame level (34) to max in a little over 1 session on proving grounds mayhem 2
Me trying out mayhem mode:
Mayhem mode 1 vs final boss: 2-3 legendaries drop.
Mayhem mode 3 vs final boss: 1 legendary drops
I must say 500% loot quality is really great.
Note: when defeating the final boss with mayhem mode 3 i had +luck w artifacts and guardian rank.
The whole reason I do every side mission is to make sure they don’t become trivial, now I have a reason to forget about them until endgame XD
Guardian Rank isn't infinite. The stats cap at 15% each.
Hopefully it gets extended with the levels in the dlc
the bonuses are... e.g- cooldown rate or gun damage.

They are the same as borderlands 2 badass rabk but organized
Cat Mom not really there are those perks and other bigger perks you can earn after speccing into certain categories

I’m on PS4. Any idea when Gearbox is going to make Mayhem Mode available at the beginning of TVHM? I have to beat the game all over again for the pedestal to reappear.
Currently it seems to be bugged for console players, PC players can activate mayhem at the beginning of their TVHM, while Xbox and PS4 currently cannot.
Jif Yeah, that’s the thing though. I saw a reply from Gearbox on a thread saying that this is not actually a bug, but a feature... Gearbox seems to be intentionally dodging this issue. An absurd choice for such a massive problem. As a console player, I’m extremely let down by BL3 so far. It is clearly a game built around endgame features, yet on console, the endgame is irrefutably broken. And Gearbox has abandoned the primary issue.
Honestly at this point, I want my money back.

The one that he is using in the beginning of the video in the circle of slaughter is called "Crossroad" mine is specifically called the "Auditing Crossroad," but I have no clue why.
cjthehammer The auditing part is a prefix. Some guns have them, some don’t and not all prefixes are the same.

Weirdest thing I experience, Idk if it's just me or its a bug, but u melt enemies in one magazine or less. Other times I log into the game, it feels like my guns are getting nerfed in real time and like I'm level 1 fighting a level 50 boss. What's that about?

I was able to Chang my mayhem mode to 6 then back down to 4 cause it was hard and my dad isn’t as good. He’s handicapped now. Anyways.. why can’t I find the mayhem mode station? I was able to change it in my pause menu I thought but now I can’t find anyway to change it.. help
what is "mayhem gear" is it some higher tier of items?
I'm a bit worried about the last two guardian rank bonuses from the survivor set. Wouldn't they make it near impossible to play a melee build with a roid shield?

Yeah I farmed the last boss with that particular blue looking grenade and I gained not just lots of levels but heaps of guardian ranks
So would normal mode mayhem 3 weapons be the same as tvhm mayhem 3 weapons? Or would I be like normal mode 1-3 then tvhm mayhem 1-3?
Because also if it wasn’t like that then their would be no point for playing tvhm if the mayhem modes are the same and the numbers don’t get any higher 🤨
I’m kind of confused, I have mayhem 6-10 weapons, good ones, like a nighthawk and stuff, got a strong amara build, but I still can’t kill most people on mayhem 6. I am level 53, but if I had mayhem 6 weapons you’d think I’d do damage

Played 12 hours with a friend today. Felt like 30 minutes. Absolutely banger of a game but it does need some smoothing out, especially with the menu lag.
What platform you on?
Xbox has some bad menu lag and me and my brother have had the game shutdown the whole xbox still better than most titles now a days at least its playable

Mayhem sucks balls. I am burned out on BL3 within several hours of reaching endgame. Rolls on guns in this game don't do fucking shit and the absolute worst legendary is only 10% worse than the same gun with perfect rolls due to how gear works now. It only comes down to having 3-4 items with the right flavor text and element rolls as those can give you 10x damage by stacking the right items. You reach endgame, turn mayhem to 4 immediately and go kill 3-4 specific enemies and boom you have your must-have legendaries that let you breeze through the game because you get the legendary you want with every kill.
Enemies should have scaled with your level from the very very start, and true vault hunter mode should have been available to play from level 1. Mayhem should never have been introduced, especially not with those stupid random modifiers. Farming legendaries is absolutely useless if you get 5+ legendaries per boss kill and you can wipe a boss in seconds just by having legendary X Y and Z that you easily got because you get 5+ legendaries per boss kill. It's exciting when you first turn on Mayhem because your gear wont be X Y and Z so you spent a long time and a lot of ammo before winning.
Guardian ranks are useless. I've solod everything at M4 and pretty much in record time at

how do u do so much dps after beating the story? me and my friend have beaten the story and unlocked mayhem mode and we have all on level legendaries in all our equipment slots, but when we enter a circle of slaughter or proving ground every single enemy is basically a raid boss. Then i watch this video and your just melting them like no ones business. How?
Get yourself any torgue shotgun with sticky gyrogets and build your character with as much crit damage as possible and go melt everything
Lol, I was rushing main story because I wanted to save the side missions for true vault hunter mode, didn't even know about mayhem mode until after I beat the game. Now all my sidequests are at my level :)
Well point of TVHM is that you can do all side missions and the campain again, so no need to save side missions.
At least that's how it was in BL2
In the previous games, the side quests leveled to 35 on first playthrough, 50 on second and were scaled to your level on 3rd playthrough. They adjusted the xp amd level scaling in this game so that's why it's different.

@@CedricBassman yes, tvhm can also be reset to try and get better versions of the mission rewards as well.

Well this kinda...sucks ass by the sound of it. I have to skip most Sidequests then, rush through the Campaign and save Side Quests for TVHM.
But, from what i hear it's actually advised to finish the Campaign as quickly as possible to unlock Mayhem Mode.
So does Mayhem Mode force everything to scale to you everytime you activate and Deactivate it?
Yes, it scales normal mode aswell
In Plauthrough One you can turn it off and everything will be its set lvl, Mayhem 2 and 3 are much more challenging but offer better loot and XP.
My thing with these games is how is it fun replaying it over and over not just with borderlands I mean destiny 2 division 2 etc
i had the - guardian tokens aswell, i killed a boss and he gave 7lvl ups. i believe this was a bug because as i relogged i wasnt lv 13 i was lvl 6 and had -7 tokens

I feel ya, im 3 story missions away from the end and already lvl 45 from side quests and farming lmao, well at least i have a bunch of lvl 30 legendaries that i wont use :)

Definitely gonna be finishing all side missions inside of mayhem in my first playthrough and then start true vault hunter mode for some true end game farming! (Also get myself ready for ultimate vault hunter mode)
What I don't get, if you do the mayhem modes prior 50 every level up will devalue the gear you have gotten before. Maybe I get something utterly wrong here, but from my point of view mayham modes and TVHM actually does only start to make sense at level 50 because you don't have to refarm stuff after a levelup. I would love to see an evaluation and proving me wrong. From my understanding what seems efficient for me right now are public games doing stuff like cistern of slaughter, and while I play in a group level scaling is on. So I get always appropiate amount of exp to go for 50, that is my idea at least. Once I reach 50 I hope that I can up my gear through mayham modes to have an easy time in TVHM without having to rely on crappy purples or farming bosses endlessly. I hope you get my idea, if you can provide arguments against it, I would be glad.

I don’t really get any of this tbh, wouldn’t it just be better to go through the story twice on normal and then true vault hunter mode before switching to mayhem and doing the side quests. What’s the point of doing the mayhem buffed side quests on normal difficulty if you’ll have to do them all over again in true vault mode

Ghost warrior you’re literally gonna have to do true vault hunter mode no matter what tho so that will be the fastest way to get the loot because you won’t have to do all the side missions twice. Way better to start farming on TVHM

I finished the campaign and this video popped up in my suggest field. I'm SO glad it did! I was about to do True Vault Hunter Mode to level because I didn't realize I could just go in Mayhem 1 mode and start farming that way. Holy crap, I didn't want to do the campaign all over again!

Yeah I just hit lv 28 and it's become clear level 50 comes first I can easily get by with blues and purples and save all side quests rewards for lv50
I'm hoping... and assuming that the different modes have unique specific legendaries for each. Also wondering if TVHM and UVHM have specific legendaries in them as well? If not, I'm surprised they didn't lean into more reward pools for each different mode as a reason to do the variety of them.
And what’s the point of true vault hunter mode then? If I can just crank the difficulty all the way up then surely there’s no need for true vault hunter mode because I’ll be earning the exact same loot in normal mode with mayhem mode on right?

Both, on mayhem 3 you get loads of ledgendary drops.
I went from normal to mayhem 1 and the difference in loot drop is alredy night and day
more loot and it scales to your level! tvhm drops more anointed gear
Noticed I have one with an action skill cool down bonus and so many mods for melee attacks.....

If you finish campaign, you can start TVHM on Mayhem 3, don't need to finish TVHM to unlock Mayhem again.

Good luck with that, I get less than 60fps with insane stutter on a 5700xt and Ryzen 2600x with 16gb of RAM. Some people are running it well but if the forums and steam are anything to go by, most people are having problems running the game properly. It’s horribly optimized, makes Dark Souls 1 on PC look buttery smooth.
I’ve been playing it on ps4 pro and it seems to run fine besides some menu lag

Vic Rodrigues it’s honestly ridiculous we both have more than enough to run this 1440p ultra with FPS to pass on to the damn next guy. Horrible optimization all around.
I miss Badass ranks...It was much more fun doing different and sometimes difficult challenges. It made exploring more interesting and it kept everything (for along time at least) new. Guardian Modes are basically just leveling again, it gets boring very fast. At least there are different modes and things to do, but it seems like a much smaller amount compared to BL2. It just seems (to me at least) that it’s missing something...not sure what but...Oh I hope they do another Bunkers and Badasses like BL2 that was a blast! Oh, and great video by the way!
Just feel like true vault hunter isn’t worth doing. Would be better to just do mayhem on your main account then start a new campaign on a new character instead. Unless you missed a major side question item you want to be level 50 I don’t see a point to it
Sadly he didn't really mention what I came here for but in True Vault Hunter mode you can reset missions to grind for your perfect mission rewards, I don't know all the details. and I believe that TVHM has better loot rate so combo of TVHM and Mayhem will be very beneficial

Is luck across all rarities? Wasnt the luck in BL2 towards blue only?
Not sure about this game, but in BL2 the vault hunter relic only decreased your chances of looting white and green rarity weapons. Thereby (technically) increasing your chances for a blue.

Alex Zapata based of my research TVHM doesn’t even drop better gear. It’s just a harder game mode. So I don’t know how I feel about TVHM
@@jonathanregnier1846 thats what i was thinking. If you can go farm on mayhem mode and lvl up then whats the point in tvhm. The only thing i guess is for the side quests and maybe certain reward weapons people might want from side missions but besides that. No point i think.

Welp, no longer concerned about completing things before I beat the story. Looks like it’s more worthwhile to save that content (side missions/rare spawns) to level off of with mayhem turned on after the main story huh?

So basically I did the side missions for nothing because playing the campaign in TVHM and mayhem mode would’ve increased your XP either way Lmaoo I finishes the campaign at level 47 but that’s my fault too because I kept dying at the slaughterstar 3000 at level 41. Killed so many enemies and when I finally finished it I was already at level 46.
Idk, I must really suck, or have bad luck. But why the actual shiet do bosses on normal mode hit me like I made coffee out of their grandmothers ashes? Like literally I’ve only been able to progress to Katagawas giant death ball boss and that fucker hits me once ON NORMAL mode, and nearly kills me...like one hit and I’m down to like 2-5% health...like why hit so damb hard on normal mode?
Just saying that on ps4 (and I think Xbox) you can't activate mayhem mode in your TVHM right away. You have to finish the story on TVHM before you can activate mayhem mode. I have heard on Reddit and the forums that this isn't the case on PC. On PC you unlock mayhem mode as soon as you go to the sanctuary. I hope this gets patched soon as I was planning to Play TVHM. Has anyone else had the same issue.
Man I love BL3 but it just doesn't have that amazing story and humor BL2 had. It has a couple moments that made me laugh but very few far and between. Like BL2 had so many amazing moments and Handsome Jack was hilarious and best antagonists in a game ever! Your guardian rank don’t make sense you are rank 67 but I have 108 points🤔
It because there is a bad glitch that happens when you try to save your tokens and not spend them, they could glitch and duplicate. When they duplicate it means you don't actually have the duped tokens. So when you spend them it goes negative because you are using tokens you don't have. Hence the reason why he has negative tokens

Some simple math for you
You are GR 67 with - 41 Tokens
But you have spent 108 Tokens which you can see on the right side of the screen.
108 - 41 = 67... You actual Rank
Seems like you've spent more tokens than you should have at this point which cause the game to open up a "credit" in Form of negative tokens which shouldn't happen xD
Yeah this happens sometimes when you are farming and the game can't keep up with the exp you get so the tokens stack. Next time you load the game up it takes them away from you if you have already spent them. Its a lil buggy 😂
There's no endgame specific bosses like *Fuckface the invincible* etc.. Which makes me sad. But hey at least we can kill Graveward another 500 times, right?

Mayhem isn't really used unless farming so go for tvhm or go for legendary farming

Do I get Better loot if I wait until I can do them with mayhem because then it'll scale to my level when I finish the story? So therefore shouldn't I try to be level 50 when I finish the story? So all the loot and enemies across the galaxy scales to 50?
Tvhm with mayhem 3 is not as good as normal with msyhem 3
Ridiculous that mayhew mode has modifiers. I get why they did that, but make them option and say if you turn them off. You get weaker rewards etc

i got a problem with bl3 as i had in bl2, the weps that drops are lower lvl then me and the weps are unefficient against enemys , i find a wep that works but then lvl up 1 lvl then that wep drops of in dmg so mutch its not usable anymore,
is there a way to scal my lvl and mob lvl and gear lvl to the same lvl so that the weps do the dmg they suppose to?
this is first playtrough tho
So even on TVHM I should skip ther side quests till I unlock Mayhem Mode?
