* * * NOTE * * * Very helpful video but please note that when removing the fascia plate, and pulling the clips towards you, you have to push your finger tips up about 2cm (about 3/4") from the end/edge of the 'clip' and only then pull the clips towards you - if instead you just pull towards you the first part of the 'clip' that your finger tips can feel you aren't actually operating the clip and it won't work and you might break it. The clips themselves move quite easily so if you are experiencing some resistance you are probably pulling on the wrong part of the clip and you need to move your finger tips up by 2cm to actually press on the clip itself - I hope that makes sense...

Absolutely brilliant, thanks Lurgs!! I had taken out the unit to clean it, put the blue fabric level indicator back in wrong way round so that whole unit would not open after I stupidly forced it back in again. But your advice worked a treat. Top man...& Daisy!! 😇

When I eventually succeeded at opening the drawer, I noticed my wife had placed that blue mobile thing in the opposite direction (rear was at front) and so it was blocking and I could not access the blue moving bit. I use a thin blade to press on the blue part on the side. If that helps...

I have the newer series 4 so the jet is in the way but I used a folk to get to the other side to push the button down, and then used the knife for the rest of the way, worked a treat! Thank you very much, this video has been a life saver (:

Hello. I have bompani washing machine. My detergent compartment got stuck because i was trying to remove it wrong. Intead of pressing it down i pulled tha blue part. Now its not going back down bcz there is one part on top of it needs to go. Now the compartment got stuck. I can't wash my clothes. Do you have any suggestion please.
Not sure how that works, maybe just be a bit more forceful. The blue part is small, try to push it down with a tool and pull out the detergent drawer. Good luck.

After the softener is dispensed, there is always a bit of water left in it. Is it ok to clean the drawer everyday to ensure that water is not left ?
Yes that’s normal to have some water residue left. You can leave drawer ajar and drum door open after a wash to help with ventilation.
