My grandparents have a 3ds. This is one of the only games on it. Ive been playing this game since i was 7. My first mario game ever. Seeing this pop up in my recommended was an absolute blast of nostalgia. Thank you dgr.
3D Land, despite being the weakest 3D Mario, is still such a treat. Loved the unique camera angles that were used in certain stages!
Also 2-4 is the hardest stage in the game 😉
You know Mario 3D is a masterpiece when even the series lows are really great.

For me both 3D land and 3D world rule the roost. It brings together the traditional Mario style with 3D environments.
Earlier on Mario 64 was going to be like this too but they eliminated a lot of those elements (i.e. bricks, ? blocks for the most part) because they felt like it was hard to aim and hit those things in 3D space. Mario never had a health bar before 64, and I prefer the power up system. 3D world is jusst your classic "get to the end of the level" game like most Mario games before it, and that's one of the reasons I like it more.
Nah the hardest stage in the game is Special 8-Crown
Weakest my ass, this game is much better than Sunshine.
And probably Odyssey.

FINALLY SOMEONE SHOWING THIS GAME LOVE
I never thought I'd see the day where DGR goes back to play one of the biggest games that kept me going through my childhood. It makes me want to tear up when I get to see this game again after 9 years of solitude on my shelf of 3DS titles. The soundtrack was timeless, yet nostalgic. The gameplay was simplistic, yet strangely unique, and honestly, this game has a higher place on my list than 3D World ever will. I just couldn't see myself doing this again. My heart wouldn't be able to take it.

The bonus level still feel like they're part of the plot. After all you're still saving Luigi and then Peach again. But this man said forget that piece of broccoli with a mustache he's not worth my time 😂
I hope 3D Land gets a remake in the future because it deserves one! This game is so much better than 3D world and it controls better. This game is way more entertaining than its sequel

Highly recommend Zevia. Cost comparable to normal soda, but with 0 of…pretty much everything. No sugar, no carbs. Flavors are mostly spot-on: ginger-ale, cream root beer and of course their version of Dr. Pepper. -But it is called a “Zero Sugar Soda”-the word “pop” doesn’t appear anywhere on the can. ;p
Ive never played this game, only 3D World, but i must admit, 3D Land looks so fun, and definitely has the better ghost house theme.
I think the theme was in Galaxy too, but i like it more than 3D Worlds, so its a win in my book. The main point that i give to 3D World is the ability to play as Peach, Toad, 0r Luigi from the getgo
3:05:20 that one, 7-5, im pretty sure that concept is in galaxy 2. I remember that first coin setup near exactly. The saw cutting ground around a cosmic comet. Yeah, but they cut in circles

To answer your question Dave, the 3D effect did mess up my eyes as a kid. I had to get glasses at 6 years old. It’s the same for other kids too probably.

I was at a bad place in life when I owned this game I think Christmas 2014 at 26 years old, strung out on stuff 😅. Played the first two or so levels then sold the 3ds and games for more… stuff. Now like 7-8 years clean but Yeahh I wish I didn’t get rid of this.

I remember playing this one timeand it was epic.
Uff I remember playing it… having to olay every level with both Mario and Luigi was a nightmare. The reward wasn‘t even worth it😞
That is true for a lot of cases. Personally, I 100% complete games for the satisfaction, knowing that I've done everything possible in the game and have completed everything. Whether it be in Game Quests to all achievements on Steam, I will 100% any game I feel is worth doing 100%. The only one I don't do 100% for is Call of Duty cuz I can't be bothered lol

Well, the level design is superb though. There's all kinds of amazing hidden shortcuts. Easily one of the most replayable Mario games out there.

I love this game, first 3d mario game I ever played, that or Mario galaxy 2, but I think it was this one. Also it is a shame you dont like LBP, I wouldn't mind it though as the most accessible game in franchise is arguably the worst. You should give LBP 2 a chance, as it is considered the game in the franchise, and its story line is executed better. But you don't have to. Have a good rest of your day.
Also I will admit, the controls are a bit, bad and arent as precise as Mario maker 2 and it can be a bit unfair, but the fun kind of unfair, it makes a great kids game that's for sure.

Mario 3d world let's you play as Tanooki and Boomerang Toads, therefore it is the better game
so many of these levels were copied almost 1:1 over to 3d world
new super mario bros on ds is my least favorite mario game it controls like butts
