Alright. Too many views and too many green thumbs. This will not work and here´s why: 1. You need GREAT precision to hit those point correctly. 2.If you DO hit them it WILL cause pain but it wont knock you attacker out which will make him more angry 3. You dont think as much when you are attacked. You wont remember "ah I have to hit 3 fingers up the elbow to cause him pain in the bicep." -No 4. If you are being robbed... give your money if you don't know exactly what to do and had extensive training. Anything else would be simply putting you life in danger. 5. Pressure points do not work the same for every person. If your attacker squats regularly or trains or jogs he will be less sensitive in those spots as he will have more muscle mass to protect the nerves. 6. This guy forgot striking rule number one in self defense: Always hit the groin first. Even if your opponent is a woman. A good hit to the balls will leave them exposed for a loooong time There are even more reasons but these are in my opinion the most important ones. Be careful who you learn from.
If you are a girl your most likely carrying a purse and we all know we shove so much crap in there so I think a good hit on the side of the head with the purse could do some damage
nicole miller Dont bother unless you have a goddam brick or bowling-ball up in there. You are doing that in hope of hitting the guy n the temple? Nah... no KO. That would either make it easier for him to rob your purse or make him even angrier. Dont bother. Just kick him in the nuts. Dont do fancy stuff. Its your survival we are talking about.
olivator1000 I disagree with everything you said, except number 4 but if I didn't know any martial arts I would still fight and run, make him fight for my money
This is JUST ME, I don't like to hit in the ground unless I'm about to die in a few seconds because it makes me fell like I'm cheating, there's no skill needed for that move
olivator1000 the point of these is not to knock out the aggressor it is to weaken him giving you time to escape, self defense is not about getting into a fight it is about looking to get out of one.
***** Thanks mate, But it looks like a scam because like CT Fletcher said, *"THERE IS NEVER NO EASY WAY MOTHER ****ER IT'S ALL HARD-WORK AND DEDICATION, THERE ARE NO SHORT CUTS IN LIFE EVERYTHING TAKES WORK"*
So in a fight u expecting me to say to the guy that I'm fight with to check his body like "wait... Let me check if this is ur pressure point.... Ok come at me bro..." Am I right?
I have respect for pressure points for healing remember though in an actual situation knuckles or fist will hit many points at the same time and please remember to always have a defense side when applying to pressure points
Majority of all pressure points rely on pain. It's a "Dojo Trick" that does not exist in real life. On the mat pressure points will make you tap out and release holds. When someone steps between you and your kids you fight through it. People can still have the "will" to fight after the body is broken. It's better to ignore these tricks, and learn to break structure and balance. Any seasoned fighter or combative will tell you they don't train to deter, they train to overcome and defeat.
Semper Fi Strength of character is the most important. One has to weigh and mitigate circumstances. One cannot go all out regarding something where there is a shred of possibility that another aspect could be utilized. The hardest thing in life is to possess the ability to back out, back away or even run from possible combat knowing that, at least, ones body can heal, but his pride my not. Yes - One must protect his family and kids, however, when one had done what he can do to disable the attacker, his being down, would not continue to mash him further or beat him to death. Martial arts is not to be used in a vengeful state of mind.
1:23 "This is a real situation, she is threatening me, she is pushing me away" *gently moves her hand from a point where she can actually push him away, to hes wrist where pushing accomplishes nothing* People who practice martial arts where there is no sparring involved have no idea that even breaking someone finger, wrist, rib or other smaller bones do not necessarily slow down the attacker who is high on adrenaline (and in most random street violence incidents, other substances as well). This might work in your mystical dojo where your training partner doesn't feel the need to just bite hes teeth and take the pain. If you do this when someone attacks you for real, they will just knock you out and possibly keep soccer kicking your head while your unconscious because you annoyed them with your pinches. If you are getting attacked by your drunken girlfriend who is half your size and weight, yeah they work just fine.
Also, hit the liver. I call it "The Liver Shot" if you hit it in the right spot they will go down and hit the ground, then struggle to get back up... Don't ask why I know this
Great Video! There were virtually five million acts of violence reported in the United States last year which included ladies twelve years old and older. 3 quarters of women who were attacked while by themselves and half of the women assaulted by numerous assailants were attacked by individuals that they understood.
What a fine word salad you have jumbled together. What does that last line mean? They spoke the same language? She saw their "truth"? They had a spiritual connection like twins? LMAO
This is fine and dandy and not disagreeing with any of the techniques but the likelihood of being able to stop an attacker by using pressure point application in a REAL street violent situation is slim to none. Secondly, a BIG peeve of mine is when a Martial Arts "demo" is done by a bigger stronger person against an obviously smaller and weaker person such as this. Reverse the roles if you really want your techniques to be taken seriously IMO
Well the start was good; "Those wont work in that way.." and I was expecting something really useful and then it went to "...measure these 3 fingers from the curve of the..." aaaaaaand its bullshido all over the place. Heres the thing: If you have the skill to hit/kick with accuracy to the painful points of the body, you can use that ability to punch/kick somebody unconsius or make their feet go limb! BOOM! WOW! MIND BLOWN! And it goes also otherway around: if you dont have the skill to land a punch/kick, theres a one-in-a-billion-chance youre gonna land that nerve-shocking-kamehamehaa... And these have been tested. Youre opponent is probably going to be irritated and angry (maybe confused..) from poking and rubbing his arms..but sure as hell youre opponent will be able to fight you after those :D
just finger jabbed myself lightly on the inside of the bicep roughly where you said and i can see how that could get somebody to be cautious of you if things are starting to get hostile, but once a fight has pursued i really don't think there's much use for any of this.
When I uncontrollable, my brother took his thumb and pressed down on the side of my neck and it made me stop.
