Thanks for this video, a drunk stranger tried grabbing me and my roommate on our walk home last week. I used one of these and he backed off so we both got away safely. Thank you very much, please keep doing what your doing.
That's great.. I'm so glad you guys are safe. Even I used to tell my friends to practice some moves just incase. In a serious situation You can use whatever you have to hit them with .. One can always punch on face with middle finger knuckle up hurts like hell, poke his eye, pinch him bad....bite....punch in little above center of neck palm straight slight claw like..kick em balls.. No matter how strong it will work on any one.. Oh n ya 🏃 run n get help and report.
In the heat of the moment, it is likely you'll freeze up, panic, and/or forget. That's why self defense moves are something you should practice over and over, on a regular basis. It's a muscle memory thing. The more you drill it, the more likely your body is to quickly respond without you even having to think about what to do if you are ever put in these situations. Stay safe ladies ❤︎
It is better than nothing, watching and thinking about what to do in a situation does have some benefit. I had never faced off with a bear, before my first time, but all the things I had been told, went through my head and then I did them. It worked and the next time, I was much calmer and had less of an adrenaline rush.
@@lornadoell actually, it is worse than nothing, because these videos load people up full of crap and give them a false sense of security. Also, if you tried any of these in real life, it can endanger you life even more than if you were to punch like normal.
I used to be afraid of walking home alone at night before I started to take self-defense classes. I'd like to share some tips that I've leaned from my classes so far with all your female viewers! I've recently been taking Krav Maga for women classes for self-defense, and so far I've learned that the best best self-defense targets on a mans body for women to attack, and the best ways of striking them are as follows: - the eyes (finger poke them) - the nose (palm heel strike upwards) - the throat (chopping like actions) - the testicles (knee / kick / punch / slap / grab-twist-pull and hold on to them tightly until he collapses and passes out within a matter of seconds) - the knees (sideways kick to dislocate) We always remember "eyes, nose, throat, testicles, knees" or "eyes, nose, throat, balls, knees" I've also been taught that even a trained, determined teenage girl could easily take down a man if she goes for these targets, especially if she goes fast and hard for the eyes or the testicles (or "high balls" and "low balls" as I've also heard them called!) One very powerful technique I also learned is that if a man has removed his trousers and he is about to rape you, then his testicles will now be extremely vulnerable to the "grab, twist, pull and hold" counterattack. You should snatch his balls and keep squeezing and pulling them as hard as you can until he passes out in under 8 seconds - and I've been taught that he will , no matter how big and strong he is. You can even use both hands, and it's still just as effective even if you only manage to get hold of one testicle. Apparently, when a man has his testicles forcefully squeezed it causes him to curl over, collapse, convulse and quickly lose all of his strength before he collapses and passes out or goes into shock in under 8 seconds. Most importantly this holds true no matter how big and strong he is - a wonderful natural advantage we females have in combat over men. Surely this is something we should all be made aware of and we should all be taught how to do it! I really wish that more women and girls were made aware of effective ways to fight back - in particular I wish they were made more aware of this "ball grab and hold" technique. From what I've read and been taught it has literally saved many women throughout the world. The women of Somalia even have a name for this move and they call it "Qworegoys". Mothers teach their daughters to reach under their attackers tunic and grab, twist, and pull his testicles until he passes out, and to also tuck their head in until the point he loses consciousness in case he initially starts to fight back. We, as women, really can fight back effectively, stay safe, and lessen our fears if we know how and where to strike on an attackers body and most importantly, learn how to "fight dirty" ❤️
Susan Williams if you want to learn self defense then go to mixed class not women self defense. All of them is a crap, women self defense is just a business. Go and train with men an you will see the difference. These ladies only courses are only good to sell those techniques that just does not work against a bigger stronger and resisting opponent. All of the techniques I know and had exam , works perfectly against women, but when I have a male training partner, most of them are just useless.... The problem with the situation you described, that if a man takes of his pants to rape you, your face is already broken and you will just lay on your back swallowing your blood and counting your teeths. Most of the raped women were beaten before, so if you could not defend yourself until the guy takes his pants off, then it is a little bit late... as an almost raped women said in an interview, after each punch she was thinking that my nose is still not broken... when his attacker made her naked and took his pants off, her face was already smashed.
Don’t attack unless you are 100% sure you can get him. Which is never. Usually the aggressor will get more aggressive. It’s better you defend yourself than to get him to attack you harder. If you know how to defend yourself, usually they will run off because they know you probably know how to fight. If you are in a situation where you can only get out if you attack, remember to always get them where they least suspect. Usually the knee caps or the side of the stomach. As hard as you can. Kicking would be the best action. And always always practice! No amount of practice is enough.
Rafaela Mora "Don't stop screaming or hitting" Bad advice. Hitting back could just escalate the situation/ make him angrier while not doing much damage
So blame everyone else instead of take initiative. That'll get you far in life. I'm a man, and I spend more time on self-defence than any women I know. It's not a sex thing...and it's not because of everyone else. It's about being able to defend yourself from the 1% of people who are shitty at life.

She's not mounted in 5). The attacker is between her legs, which means he's actually in her guard. And his abuse is equivalent to trying to submit someone from within their own closed guard, which is a rookie mistake in BJJ.
I read somewhere that you have to tell yourself that you WILL react violently if something like this happens, so your mind will know what to do. Like make it a personal rule and your body will follow suit. Let’s be strong 💪🏻 💜
@@raghavyv04 I’m saying that these self defense tactics are not effective, I’m a black belt in jujitsu myself and I know people can easily evade these maneuvers. Also most people would get scared and not do this are rememberer it. And you are most likely going to be attacked if you are wealthy or showing signs of it
You would get your ass beat trying to act all tough, you can’t beat anyone’s ass if you don’t know how to fight, let alone take hits or know how to counter when being taken by surprise, carry pepper spray, it works rather than throwing windmills and failing miserably
Son son tried to me it didn't work to even turn my arms around😂his taller than me😂not every aggressor is just gonna turn soft with there muscle so you can demonstrate what they thought you on RUclips 🤣best way is scream loud as you can before that aggressor get close to you and run like no tomorrow and if those doesn't apply at that moment fight like your Hercules even you can't beat it atleast you put a fight for yourlife. When weapons is use pray that you survive while you fight for yourlife.
The intention of this video is great. However, I doubt it will work in the situation (under stress!). If you really want to defend yourself, go into regular training, so the movements are in your muscle memory. You need to be able to do them without thinking. So the routine of the techniques is crucial! So training, training, training!!! Just a thought from a 3rd Dan (black belt) in Karate. 😉
Finally a real comment, I was wondering how ppl actually belives this would work on real life.... I've been doing martial arts for 6 or 7 years and any one with training can tell that this wont work on real life.
mangotelephone yes there is a lot of room for improvement. And if they’re going to make a video they really do need to bring in somebody with a higher skill level. That being said there really is no reason to insult someone that is trying to help.
Fran zi yes and its also very dangerous! When they have things for shit so small n simple as "when someone invades ur personal space" if that were to happen to me it would break bones as I've got illnesses. but ur average healthyjoe does not! ergo drunk guy tries to hit on girl in club like they semi set up& then bam she floors him wtf is he going to do?! cowar? retreat? call police? or maybe worst case scenario as well as the most plausible is he is going to try to beat her ass up ffs! duh common damn sense! Also " cuz ur personalspace was invaded" is not a good reason to go to self defense! and these days as quick to fly off the handle n call mere winking the same & on an =level with RAPE! ffs i never knew anyone to get ptsd from that guy he winked at me omg that's eye rape! Ffs as ridiculous as this shit gets more n more support men aren't taking it any more either guys like me raised never to hit a woman no longer live by that code our parents taught us cuz we need defend ourselves against over zealous feminist! That are going full femimazi ffs! Smh too to see all the other comments zero critical thinking was used by 90% Smh wtf?! Beside my comment yours was the only other i could find warning them about this cuz its also true they need train to get muscle memory so that when the time comes like u said no need 2 think u can think about the more critical things like should i? and when? Where? How? is it legal? But after a certain point the situation will usually tell us relatively quickly which way that will go&u can focus more on things like the legality of it unless ur life is in danger n its 100% self defense then yes which again maybe instantly obvious say they brandish a firearm or other weapon(s) which tells you + their body language and general demeanor. if they're a threat or not. maybe we should be teaching gun safety along with lessons like these. but damn that grinded tf out my gears when i saw her do the arm around the shoulder thing as common as it is and i can't think of any single situation out side of being a young lady that's dads being sworn into office by none other then creepy pedo joe Biden ffs! now that's where all of these moves deserve be demonstrated in their proper context! Lmao but well never get to see such actual justice especially when it seems the media at least n so many others that social justice is the only thing worth fighting to protect! Any way I'm out
I use these at school- I hate people touching me and getting close to me and once a guy from a class above tried to grab me into a corner during break and I sprained his arm- safe to say literally EVERYONE saw and no one tried to get me backed up ever again 😀🤸♂️
Unfortunately, I’m here for the same thing.. people keep grabbing me at school. I manage to make them fall so i can get away by kicking at their legs, but it’s not the best way to escape.
I absolutely love how she explained the moves. She made it clear and understandable. She actually explained why to make each move and it really helped. Thanks so much!
It's sad that anyone needs to know it to be completely honest, and males need it too because chances are if a boy is being attacked the aggressor has assessed the situation and deemed themselves strong enough to take them down with success.
I like the idea behind this video, and self defense is very important. I think these ladies have good intentions, and I fully support what they are trying to do. However, most of these techniques would not work in a real fight against a fully resisting opponent who is actually trying to hurt you. The only decent technique in the video was the defense against the mount, except the position started in full guard and a mount never happened. Again I think it is admirable what these women are trying to do, but if you are really serious about self defense: 1) Get in shape. 2) Go to a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym, you will learn better techniques and be able to practice them over and over again with a fully resisting opponent. 3) Get a gun, learn how to use it, train with it, and carry it. In the real world the bad guys have knives and guns. All that being said, 90% of self defense is avoiding stupid situations. The other 10% is being able to deal with those situations.
Glad someone here said it. I respect and admire their intentions but teaching these moves (especially lifting a full male attacker) is irresponsible and mostly falls on wishful thinking. I know ladies default to attackers is "get him in the balls" but you have a split second to react and make contact and then you have to worry if the guy has a high pain tolerance and isnt affected by it. Not all men are that sensitive to where they'll stop attacking because they get hit in the groin. Bjj is a great especially for smaller women. I say kickboxing and Muay Thai are best for strikes (imo) but none on this mens anything with out training. That goes for weapons to everyone must train and do so frequently to understand and control themselves in tense situations.
Exactly. This is a terrible video. I'm amazed a blue belt in jiu jitsu would be arrogant enough to think she should be teaching women's self defense. Most BJJ practicioners I know have been humbled enough by live rolling against resisting opponents to know how unrealistic a lot of this stuff is and how difficult the 1 or 2 realistic moves would actually be against a bigger, stronger opponent.
lol glad u said it in a more tactful way. . .this shit's ridiculous. #4 is the only decent one, but if he's really trying to control u u ain't makin it to the back that ez x D
@@1813-b1l It takes more than leverage to actually lift them as she did here. That's not leverage. It's also not going to work against someone with an extra 30, 50 or 100 lbs on you, as you'll tumble down with them. Agressors also don't attack with such lack of aggression. No one grabs a wrist, they pull you as well. They don't grab hair, they pull you as well. They don't reach around from behind and casually wrap an arm around your chest. And they certainly do not mount you leaving 4 feet of room between you and them. There's a reason self-defence taught in actual martial arts isn't a 10 minute video. Learning the basics only prepares you to understand the techniques needed for actual attacks. Until you try this with an actual attacker (stress testing), you'll never pull any off in reality.
@@dostthouevenlogicbrethren1739 As she did there, which was a lot softer. It's gonna work on someone with even 100 pounds on you. Granted, any fight will be harder if the weight difference is that big, but technique can still win. Granted, the other techniques are workable on paper, not so much in live-action. The wristlock shown here could be substituted by an arm drag, which sets up for a lot more takedowns and attacks.

Thank you for this video. I often have to travel alone on the train during later hours and I’m young and pretty weak looking, there have been plenty of times people have tried to do something to me but I’ve always been lucky that my friend was there to stop it (he’s a He and very tall and muscular, which helps me out but also kinda pisses me off that a man has to be present to stop a situation from happening) and now I know what to do when he isn’t around. Thank you
I tried this to my son. It didn't work. I was the aggressor and he is trying to twist one of my arm😂right about his gonna turn his my arms I step on his foot harder I could and his arm loosen for me to turn him the other way. While I was down with my arm I manage to flip and face him and kick him from the ribs😂don't worries my son was not heart I just show him that aggressor might have better move than what they show on this video.

Do not, I repeat, do not, trust these techniques to work. First of all, in a real situation you tend to freeze up and your fine motor skills goes out the window. Second, to make these work you need to practice them over and over and over again with resistance. Seek out a good self defense school in your area and get professional training.

Please do not try these! They can get you hurt! I learned these exact moves and they are not easy to do. It takes timing , speed and proper technique. If one of those is off, it can put you in a vulnerable situation!
All this techniques will work only if your opponent is a weaker person. And moreover your adrenaline will get shooted up in such situations as it comes with a sudden surprise. If you are not a trained martial artist or you don't have any combat sport experience, you may not be able to overcome that. For controlling such situations, you should learn martial arts or combat sports to get enough fighting experience.
First off, all this isn’t garbage but what they really need to imply is that you should train your body in preforming these tasks in a instant that takes muscle memory so I agree that these moves alone will not work if not used on the right example ie (men) strong men I believe women and men need to do this together for it not to be a futile effort
yep a 99 lb female's joints bend just like a 300 pound steroid junkie's joints do .... and a bonsai trees grows exactly the way a redwood tree grows. want to try chopping down a redwood with a pocketknife?
It was not to under estimate women or their capabilities. What I meant with my previous comment is that, you cannot win a fight or a tough situation by simply studying theories. Let it be man or woman. Because when you face such a situation, you will not remember this kind of blocks and locks unless you are a trained martial artist. Because this kind of situations comes all of a sudden and movements would be so swift that you may not be able to anticipate. And by that time your adrenaline will be up and you will completely out of your mind. But if you are training such kind of techniques from a well trained master and groom your fighting skills by continuous training, you may be able to overcome such kind of situations. Please do remember that anticipated movements will not help you in practical situations. You should train it in a practical perspective from a trained fighter. So you will get chances to use your techniques most of the time.
My father is very athletic, and I’ve always had interest in sports and stuff. So it was really inspiring to see how these techniques work. Thank you for this video!
Don’t be that guy 😒 self defense is especially important for WOMEN because we are most often the victims of sexual assault and physical violence, and are obviously physically weaker than men generally. Therefore it’s important for women to know these techniques. Hence the title of this video. So please shut up, enjoy, and learn from it.

My parents have warned me a lot of groups of rough looking girls too. Not just men attackers. She told me to just completely stay away from them on the street or anywhere if you can. There's more of a chance of you running into a group of girls than a group of guys. I feel like the guys usually attack you alone or only one or two of them. Thank you for this advice! Remember, if you are being attacked your main goal is to just get away from the attacker if you can. Do NOT stay, fight, and get the attacker super mad, especially if it's a man, who is bigger and stronger than you. And just avoid the situation in the first place. Stay in well lit areas and in busy areas with people if possible. Pretend like you are calling someone on the phone. Even ask a stranger to maybe help you. Or enter a business if you are near one. Stay safe ladies and trust those instincts. ❤
Thank you Joanna for sharing this. Especially during these hate crimes. One must be prepared to defend themselves. Please do more of these videos thank u

7outofthebox7 well yeah it does require some strength but you would be surprised with your strength when you are in those situations, you become stronger but you are so desperate like life or death
Thanks so much for the tips! Honestly I am tired, as a woman, to be constantly on alert to the threats of men. I'm also tired of the self defense videos that teach to get out of his grip and run. If I am attacked, rest assured I will make sure you are debilitated before I run. I have seen too many horror movies to know that they always get up and come after you, and they are often bigger and stronger than you, so ladies, make sure when you put them down, they are down for good.
Okay but for the second move, that isn't going to work if the person is much taller or bigger than you so you can't get a hold of their shoulder. It might've been more helpful if you brought in a big guy. Still incredibly helpful though!
The while point of the video though is for women to protect themselves against men without needing strength though. For the vast majority of cases, bigger or stronger people will choose smaller targets.
It can work, I do a different type of martial arts which had similar self defence techniques and for that second move you have to be super quick and rough, bend their arm all the way behind their back than use your other arm to wrap their neck and lock it into a tight neck choke.
Just had a creep try to follow me home (practically sprinting after me since I'm a fast walker). It got dark quickly and the street lights aren't working (currently waiting to be fixed) and there's lots of trees and driveways into fields that someone can hide in or drag you into. There's no other way for me to get back home and since its usually pretty deserted and gets dark at about 4:00pm the fact a guy a lot bigger than me could hurt me so easily is horrifying. I always let someone know when to expect me back so that in case something did happen and I'm delayed they can raise the alarm. I'm so glad that people like you are showing us how to protect ourselves. It's sad that it's so necessary but I can seriously say that your videos will make a huge difference to any woman who's felt threatened whilst walking alone.
Jordan M exactly There’s no fucking way you can be able to defend yourself Only using techniques which you’ve only drilled for 10 minutes If you want to defend yourself, join a martial arts gym
first if your life is being threatened any resistance you can do is good though avoidance or deescalation is best. Most of these are common martial arts techniques and can be effective but any joint lock/grappling/chin na technique is best learned from an instructor, they were never intended to be taught from video (as video didn't exist when they were invented) there are too many variables when applying them and a small change in angle can make the difference between succeeding and failing also they are fairly easy resist or counter unless you can counter their counter by moving to a new lock changing angles or striking. One of the most important elements of self defense is awareness of your surroundings it is much easier to counter these attacks/grabs if you never let the attacker get a hold of you, first you need to keep people at distance if you can do this it's much easier to maybe even deescalate the situation which is always the preferred end. Sometimes that isn't possible and you might get grabbed in which case for an untrained fighter striking is easier to succeed with than locks and locks are also easier to apply after a successful strike. Thanks for posting the more info that gets out there the better.
Yeah it's pointless though. This doesn't work against someone willing to punch you in the face, Learn how to actually fight martial arts, and train against people not holding back and standing still is your best chance. But you have ti be willing to take some punches.
Hi Joanna, Thank you so very much for this informative and useful video! It is wonderful that you are creating content that is practical and empowering to women! I hate to be morbid, but could you also do a video in which you demonstrate how women can defend themselves in situations where the assailant may have a knife or other such weapon? Thank you and I look forward to future videos.
Sheila Patirana this is just a choreography tutorial. As someone who’s been learning Kyokushin Karate for a long time and knowing a few friends that practice self-defense techniques as well, these techniques will only work if your assailant is as weak as a twig and as cooperative as a dog.
Ladies, I was just joking. I hope you didn't take it seriously. In my opinion, Joanna is a great fitness instructor and I often enjoy exercising with the help of her videos, but as a former instructor of hand-to-hand combat I don't think she is able to defend herself in a real violent situation, maybe she has some chances using a firearm. These techniques showed in the video above are in practice unuseful, they are thaught to students at the beginner level just to make them understand the mechanism of joints and throws and others stuff. Self-defense and all forms of combat can't be learned from videos on the internet unless you already have a solid base in martial arts or combat sports.

I wish people who are watching this will be also reading the comments. The best self defense in most situations is awareness of danger, do not put yourself in vunerable situations. Second best is not to fight, but look for a chance to disengage, run and call for help and that goes for everyone regardless of gender, size or combat training.
I love that you are teaching this on RUclips, and I offer the following constructive criticism with nothing but love and admiration; but as a self-defense instructor, I think these moves are probably too complicated for the average person to learn from watching a video without having more formal instruction. In the event of an attack, reactions need to rely on gross motor skills; they need to be simple, fast, and violent. It's not enough to get the person to let go of you, or drive them to the ground so that you can run away. The victim needs to drive the assail to the ground then give them a reason not to get back up, or hurt them enough to give you even more time to get to safety. Just my unsolicited two cents worth, and I hope that you take it with the intention that it was given. Keep teaching, and keep making people safer and more confident.
Respectfully non of these will actually work in a real dangerous situation. This video is ideal to someone with some martial background training. If you’ve never sparred a day in your life you won’t be able to execute any of these techniques. To anyone trying to learn how to defend yourself I highly recommend you find a gym close to you that trains fighters.
Disagreed. If you train BJJ your head will be so filled with leg lock defenses and guard passes that the few relevant moves won't come up. If you only know the double arm bar from closed guard, you'll do that if someone's trying to choke you. A rapist won't put you into X guard.
@@MrCmon113 its not necessary about knowing bjj, mma or whatever discipline you choose. Yes the aggressor will not put you in a close guard but if you are experienced in ANY close combat competitive sport, you going to be in-tuned to danger. Your body is used to fighting under fear, nerves and adrenaline. That means when you are faced with a threat the likelihood of you crumbling in fear is unlikely. Anyone that has been in a fight or some sort of physical altercation will confirm how 9/10 you always revert to your primal instincts if aren't used to sparring. There's nothing wrong with these tactics. The only problem is there is no disclaimer on how they are probably better suited for someone with experience in fighting. If you are not trained and think im lying, try this on your brother or one of your friends who are slightly bigger than and see how complex it is. Especially if you give them consent to actually be aggressive towards you.
Men are unlikely to be in those specific situations. An aggressor would try to take down a man, not hold his arm. He would try to punch a man, not choke him. He wouldn't hug him from behind.
If the time came....and I hope it never does for you...when you needed to defend yourself, all of the practicing and videos in the world won't help you,. In most cases, your attacker will be a male, who is much stronger and bigger than a woman.. Even a slight man is usually stronger. Even if they don't have skills more than likely, their lack of skills is still an advantage over a woman. Furthermore even in a bad situation you're body immediately goes to panic mode so you don't think the same. Hopefully, whatever action you take will buy you time BUT....just buy some OC spray and call it a day. It's probably a little better than practicing!🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Beautiful ladies showing great defense moves, I loved it!. Every women should know how to defend herself at an early age. Thank you for the great tips.
Hey behave yourself. In fact, getting angry is not going to help you in defending yourself. It most likely to get you even in more trouble. So please relax. And I will say to myself that Tosyo is very very powerful human who can annihilate the country like USA in a minute. So, for the sake of my dear life, I'd better not to mess with you.

Yea well Said, thats why im Started to practice these moves and now it become a reflex
It is better than nothing, watching and thinking about what to do in a situation does have some benefit. It worked and the next time, I was much calmer and had less of an adrenaline rush.

They ought to, but in our country even schools are not safe
I used to be afraid of walking home alone at night before I started to take self-defense classes. I'd like to share some tips that I've leaned from my classes so far with all your female viewers! I've recently been taking Krav Maga for women classes for self-defense, and so far I've learned that the best best self-defense targets on a mans body for women to attack, and the best ways of striking them are as follows:
- the eyes (finger poke them)
- the nose (palm heel strike upwards)
- the throat (chopping like actions)
- the testicles (knee / kick / punch / slap / grab-twist-pull and hold on to them tightly until he collapses and passes out within a matter of seconds)
- the knees (sideways kick to dislocate)
We always remember "eyes, nose, throat, testicles, knees" or "eyes, nose, throat, balls, knees"
I've also been taught that even a trained, determined teenage girl could easily take down a man if she goes for these targets, especially if she goes fast and hard for the eyes or the testicles (or "high balls" and "low balls" as I've also heard them called!)
One very powerful technique I also learned is that if a man has removed his trousers and he is about to rape you, then his testicles will now be extremely vulnerable to the "grab, twist, pull and hold" counterattack.
Susan Williams thank u dear you are of great help
I love uuuuu so much and thank uuu
Ageed, especially with aiming for the eyes and/or groin. As Dwight says: the eyes are the groin of the head

Where? How? is it legal? These will come in handy one day, I'm 12 years old and it's sad that woman and young girls have to know self defence.
It's sad that anyone needs to know it to be completely honest, and males need it too because chances are if a boy is being attacked the aggressor has assessed the situation and deemed themselves strong enough to take them down with success.

None of this will help you.
There is no unarmed self defense that 99.9% of women can learn to stop a man. This stuff will only get you in trouble.

Leverage
Not strength
It is not hard to do.

@@dostthouevenlogicbrethren1739 As she did there, which was a lot softer. It's gonna work on someone with even 100 pounds on you.
Hari krishnan true
@Thou Swell thank u for this...i cant stand the negativity
First off, all this isn’t garbage but what they really need to imply is that you should train your body in preforming these tasks in a instant that takes muscle memory so I agree that these moves alone will not work if not used on the right example ie (men) strong men
I believe women and men need to do this together for it not to be a futile effort
yep a 99 lb female's joints bend just like a 300 pound steroid junkie's joints do .... and a bonsai trees grows exactly the way a redwood tree grows. want to try chopping down a redwood with a pocketknife?

Self defence is important for everyone, for both genders.
This is true, but this video offers no real defense for anyone
Don’t be that guy 😒 self defense is especially important for WOMEN because we are most often the victims of sexual assault and physical violence, and are obviously physically weaker than men generally. Therefore it’s important for women to know these techniques. Hence the title of this video. So please shut up, enjoy, and learn from it.

@@swaroop2518 while your statement is true that both genders should know how to defend themselves, you came to a video that specifically targets women and you felt the need to insert that men need to know self defense too, as if to say you have a problem with the fact that men are not also mentioned. Again, you’re not wrong, but your comment was unnecessary. It’s the equivalent to saying “All lives matter.” We know that 😒 but there is a group that’s much more disadvantaged than you, so let them have a video that targets them because we need it more. That’s all I am saying.

Just so you know this shit don't work. Don't get hurt actually trying this on someone

Wolfferoni That applies to every move there is for self defence... it won't work for everyone.
If their grip is strong or if they are bigger than you, it does seem difficult to execute.
Wolfferoni None of this stuff will work. Anyone with no experience fighting will put you on the ground real quick if you tried anything shown.
Been told it’s a good idea to learn this before starting university. Sad we live in a world like this
The first move REALLY works, I recommend it
Yeah! I really Tried this on my mom and dad and they hissed in pain. They're okay, don't worry, i didn't put much pressure.
It's sad that it's so necessary but I can seriously say that your videos will make a huge difference to any woman who's felt threatened whilst walking alone.

first if your life is being threatened any resistance you can do is good though avoidance or deescalation is best.
Every women should know these basic moves to protect herself from any danger and I thank to all those RUclips channels who are teaching this ❤️
Yeah it's pointless though. This doesn't work against someone willing to punch you in the face, Learn how to actually fight martial arts, and train against people not holding back and standing still is your best chance. But you have ti be willing to take some punches.
Hi Joanna,
Thank you so very much for this informative and useful video!
Excellent! I tried this moves on my wife and she's already from last week in the hospital. Thanks!
Why would you try it on your wife!?
WHAT
Ladies, I was just joking.
@@Janchone You don't think she is able? Really? Anyone can learn this and do it if they really wanted to. No excuses. Kinda sounds like a bad attitude if you ask me.

@@squirrelofdoom3830 Exactly! That's the problem with joint locks like that. They also leave you in a vulnerable position if you fail.
This is the first comment I am actually agree with. This deserves thousands of likes and to be readed by all women interested in personal defense.
Me after watching video
Me to my bro: come here
Not only women everyone need to learn these techniques 🙏
Men are unlikely to be in those specific situations.
An aggressor would try to take down a man, not hold his arm. He would try to punch a man, not choke him. He wouldn't hug him from behind.

Thank you for making this. Im gon a try to get with my friends so we can practice together
