I really think The Brady Bunch had the best song / intro combination of any show. The song sets up the premise and the video is brilliantly simple yet effective. I wonder if they only added Alice to fill that middle Brady square.
@@lolitajones859 I think The Facts of Life had the best theme, but The Brady Bunch was the best with being catchy and setting up the premise of the show. The Jeffersons was another good one in that way because it is also catch and sets up the premise if the show. I just think BB did it a little better, it even has charscter names.
The interior of the "Brady Bunch house" in Studio City looks nothing like what you see on the show because the only part of that house you see on the show is the outside, and only as what's called an "establishing shot." The "interior" shots you see on the show are actually sets inside a Paramount soundstage down in Hollywood. A couple of items of note: the driveway of the real house in Studio City is on the right as you're looking at the house from the street (as opposed to on the left in the show), and as has been noted by others over the years, the Studio City house is only a _single story house_, whereas the "Brady Bunch" living room set has a very prominent *staircase*.
I remember watching this show in the early 80s. It would come on every afternoon right when I got home from school. I had such a crush on Peter and Jan, I'll never forget it!
1:46 Don't ask why, but ever since I first started watching this show (about a decade ago), I've always found this horn intro hilarious. Just how sudden and awkward it is, as if they really needed a transition into the kids singing, mixed with Carol's huge grin that makes it seem more clumsy and comical.
I still watch it. I remember watching this show on Nick at Nite which was nice. I was just watching the show this morning actually, and I can’t get enough of it. If only TV was like this today
For the show's first season (1969-1970), the theme song was performed by The Peppermint Trolley Company. Starting in Season 2 (1970-1971), and ran until the end of the series in 1974, the theme song was performed by The Brady Bunch Kids, courtesy of Paramount Records.
Sad to say, Carly, it is the same with many of our favorite pop and rock musicians that were famous back in the 1950s, '60s and early '70s. I do know Florence was alive long enough to appear in the music video for Mark Ronson's "Feel Right," which sounds awfully similar to James Brown's 1970 hit "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine."
Ah!!! As an Asperger's kid who obsessed over the Brady Bunch (I recorded every episode on audio cassette in the 1970s off the TV), I can't believe what you've done here! Beautiful! Even the Paramount TV tags at the end. So perfect!! I will "stim" off this all night. Takes me back!! Thanks so much. You're making lives better here. :)

Here's my question: How come Season 3 background/looks was the same as Season 2? The only thing that changed was the boys sang the intro, then the girls and then mixed together. Anyone have the answer?
Friday nights watching ABC shows back then were a real treat: The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, The Odd Couple, Room 222, and Love, American Style. I lived it and loved it.
It always reminds me of the center square from The Hollywood Squares (Florence Henderson herself often appeared on this game show). I could imagine Paul Lynde starring in this sitcom and appearing in the center box.
I agree. In fact, in real life, Maureen was envious of Eve, as Eve began to develop earlier between the two. Remember the episode "Two Petes In A Pod"? The character of Arthur(played by Christopher Knight)even though he met up with both Greg and Marcia, it was Jan who he was briefly head over heels for.
I first heard about this song back in 2014 when it was spoofed in the “Phases Of Matter” episode of Bill Nye The Science Guy. In that episode, they spoofed this song with a kid named Johnny Atom. The main chorus lyric for this spoof was “Here’s the story, of Johnny Atom”, and it was describing his life as about Science and Chemistry.
I remember back in the first season of the show in 1969, I always thought the line in the theme "...of a man named Brady" was "...of Adam Brady" and I used to wonder why they called him Adam if his name's Mike.
Fun fact: all three daughters were recast at one point in later Brady Bunch series. Geri Reischel played "Fake Jan" in the Brady Bunch Variety Show, Jennifer Runyon played Cindy in A Very Brady Christmas, and Leah Ayres played Marcia in The Bradys.
There's something about the Brady Bunch that I really enjoy. Even if there's a bad episode, I still enjoy it. Probably because I get absorbed into the characters' situations.
The Brady Bunch paved the way for shows like Full House, Family Ties, Step By Step, Modern Family

Maybe. And the Season 4 intro looked like it should've been for Season 3.
Friday nights watching ABC shows back then were a real treat: The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, The Odd Couple, Room 222, and Love, American Style. I lived it and loved it.
Now for Wandavision s01e03 Jan 2021
RIP Ann B. Davis 1926-2014. Enjoy heaven with Robert Reed, Alan Melville and your boss Scherwood Schwartz.
Robert Reed? I don't think so.
@@johnjacob1412 Yes he did passed away in 1992. Of course not too long ago Florence Henderson is up there in heaven.
@@TheFrankenstein1972 Ahhh, okay. He must be in Heaven with his boyfriend.
Season 5 I was like holy crap Jan grew up to be the hot one!
This is how my online classes are gonna look for the rest of the school year
I love them
I miss them
I know it was released in 1970? Idk
But i watched it in 2009 when i was 6.

@@SearsCool thx
I always liked how Alice suddenly appeared in the center
I remember watching the intro as a kid questioning the middle spot is empty until I saw Alice appeared.
It always reminds me of the center square from The Hollywood Squares (Florence Henderson herself often appeared on this game show). I could imagine Paul Lynde starring in this sitcom and appearing in the center box.
I wish I had a mom like this I think everybody wanted a mom like this
@Summer Rose S0 did I
As the seasons went on, Jan was getting hotter than Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!
MoviesTubeYou0675 Two PETES!! LOL!!!
That last season, Jan and Peter owned Marcia and Greg!
MoviesTubeYou0675 I thought Marcia in the movie was hotter than the tv show
Those were three very lovely girls!
The first one is definantly the best. It had the best tone tbh. . .
I remember back in the first season of the show in 1969, I always thought the line in the theme "...of a man named Brady" was "...of Adam Brady" and I used to wonder why they called him Adam if his name's Mike.
Legendary show
Peter was just so cute/handsome in every one of these.
I graduated with someone who looks just like him.
@@Steven4now Cool. How long ago was that?
@@EmeraldView graduated in 2015
@@Steven4nowWell they say everyone has someone out there who looks just like themselves. Although this one would be separated by decades.
Agreed. Peter was the cute one. I had a crush on him.
It's a story of a play boy genius
Who was gearing up to form some sort of crew
A russian spy
Well we all know what’s next for WandaVision.
Yayyy
There's something about the Brady Bunch that I really enjoy. Even if there's a bad episode, I still enjoy it. Probably because I get absorbed into the characters' situations.
Anyone else here from the Marvel parody?
