Yeah! That's what I was saying. There is so much Systems that have analog sticks that I want to emulate. And u can replace the rpi zero with a radaxa zero. That would be the best thing I have ever thinked of

Where did you order the multicolor buttons? Is there a standard button size or something that can be purchased? On sudomods site I ordered the plain white by he only has black and white currently.
Once I put it together with the kit will I have to go through the process of installing retro pie and all the consoles?
I know its been 4 years but...
Anyone knows if the process with a zero 2 W or another sbc with the same form factor is the same or at least similar?

great vid, i cant really solder and am bad with electronics. is there any way i could commission a prebuilt one, ive loved the mintypi since 2.0 but as stated above i cant exactly build one

The Retro Phix cool thanks, youve earned a sub and how mucb money would it cost, i should be paid hopefully this week if not next week so i was wondering what to spend my first paycheck on and the mintypi is something ive always wanted to show off at school since mark 2
You're looking at 90$ for the electronics, 10$ for the battery, 56$ for 3d printed parts, add 5-10$ for RasberryPi and 3-10$ for Altoid tin... There is an optional case for the mintyPi as well.. so around 176$ for parts depending, but can be a little less if you choose certain colors. Add labor it's over 200$... I've heard of some people building them for 200$ to 250$ or around that price I think? You can check me on that if you go to sudomod.com and check the forums.
Upon checking it again, I see that someone is offering to solder everything, not a bad option either. But if you aren't comfortable building it yourself, paying for a pre-built one will insure peace of mind.

did you ever clean the flux off the PCB?
No, but I had to redo some work on it and I cleaned it later. Definitely a good idea!
How long did it take to ship?
Have to check with SudoMod to see when the kits are available on his site.
How do you transfer Roms on it? Do you need a computer?
Yes, look up how to add roms to a retro pi system

How much does all of this cost?
Dependent on what you want there could be slight variation but here’s the basic rundown.
Helders game tech mintypi kit: 80$
Mintypi battery: 10$
Altoids tin (laser cut from helder): 10$
Raspberry pi zero w: 10$-20$
Button pcb: around 10$
3D printed frame for mintypi: 30$-40$
SD card to load retropie onto: varying price
Can you save progress on games?
Yes, you can "save state" at anytime.

Everything is completely custom and hand built and ordered. It's definitely not a "cheap" solution, but for the work this team did developing it, it's a fair price!
