I’m considering sisterlocs and your channel has really helped me. Thank you
I'm so glad! You're welcome
Hey Kyla! Thanks for this Q&A, I had some of the same questions ☺ during months 1-3 used Seabreeze (pat it with a cottoball) on my scalp. That seemed to alleviate the itching some. This video WAS very informative and to the point, I appreciate that❤❤❤
Thank you! & Thanks for sharing!!
I knew there was something else and I couldn't remember what is was called. Seabreeze. Thank you
ACV really helped get rid of buildup! Used lemon juice, baking soda and water in a basin and let my hair soak for 30 mins. I was also 10 months sister locked at the time and did a loose braid and band
I think I'm gonna try it soon. The lint buildup in the back of my head is starting to annoy me when I have my hair up. Is that the only time you've done it?
I've only done the ACV wash once, but I'll start doing it 3-4 times a year
For lint buildup, my consultant said it’s caused by oil in the hair which attracts dust, dirt and lint. She suggested washing hair more and avoiding heavy oils which attract lint. Hope that helps!

My scalp was itchy a lot the first month. One thing I did is braid and band and washed. Whew, that helped. The second thing I did, I braided and banded and showered without a shower cap. The midst from the shower was soothing. I was good after doing each of these things twice. By my first retie the itching was gone.
yes! this is a helpful tip!
Ahhhhh the first viewer and first commenter… love you girl, keep up being amazing

Btw, I’m only 3 months in. Thanks again!

Hi
Do you know how one can maintain unlocked orr curly tips?
When your hair is mature enough, apply some conditioner on the tips every now and then to prevent them from locking.
@@TheRealKylaBthank you! This was actually going to be one of my questions 😊
What do you do with the gry hair?
dry hair?
nothing. I just up my water intake. It's one thing if the hair is dry, but it's a whole other thing if it's dry and brittle. Drink more water! See if that helps.
Grey? I have some so I am about to color it jet black
Hi! Do you know the size of your parts? Were they 3/8” by chance?
Hey. Unfortunately no. We never measured them
Hi, did you experience your locs falling out during the first month?
Are you talking about unraveling/slippage? Or just falling out completely? I had slippage in the back row for a few months & I lost a loc completely in the front.
@@TheRealKylaB like completely falling out. I'm only 2 months in and 3 locs fell out so far. Just want to know if thats normal
3 of them? Were they thin?
Very helpful video! Just wondering…I braid my locs or twist them at night and wear a bonnet. Do you think this is okay? I’ll try to “keep my hands out of my hair.” I just don’t like my frizzy ends. Also, is there something significant about the pineapple and wrap rather than a wearing bonnet or cap to bed?
You’re the second person this week to tell me that they braid their locs every night. Why do you braid them every night?
And yeah. The hair over my head gives my hair more volume than sleeping on it while it’s down and in a bonnet. I also prefer the satin scarf to bonnets. I prefer that my hair stays in place and I feel like the scarf gives me more control on how my hair will look in the morning. Plus, I can’t stand the way bonnets rub on my edges. Lol.
@@TheRealKylaB gotcha. Makes sense! I braid because I want my ends to stay skinny. My consultant said that would help, but I feel like I’m touching my locks too much. Yours are locking nicely without braiding. I’ll have to try less braiding. Also, my hair is styled the next day in a braid out and looks cute.
Oh. Okay. Gotcha. How young are your locs?
I don’t like the braid out look on me personally. I think it looks cute on other people though.
@@TheRealKylaB only three months. I’m loving it so far!
do your sister locs put alot of pull on your edges?
No. They do not
They continue to blossom. Beautiful
Thank you !
