I'm working on my second jeep Cherokee but I for some odd reason I liked your video because sometimes life can be rough when times are crazy and you were right on the spot. Be you that's the best thing we can be. I like you. Lol
1. I like how you keep it so simple with your explication so that anyone can follow along with you and not feel intimidated. 2. You may want to consider this as your new look, you definitely don’t need that heavy makeup....... Absolutely Gorgeous!

It's funny, I've done hundreds of these heads and found myself looking up where those bolts go... to be fair I'm finishing the job for my tech whom had to go to hospital.... thanks for the killer vid chica!
I got all new studs and installed them on my 2001 Accord. Only to realize one was longer than the rest. Whoops. Started all over and re-torqued them. They were only to be used once but I had no issues. Love your energy, excitement and desire for automotive knowledge.
Welp, it was short and to the point. Hope to see some more pretty soon. It's cool to see 4.0 inline jeep engine getting some work done. Historically pretty good engines.
I try to keep it that way! I usually have to cut down my rambling a ton to make it concise for the viewer who just wants the info, otherwise I could ramble for HOURSSSS. This video started out 15 minutes long!!
Your channel is like a hug up spot for all of us that love working on cars and make a buck . and yes you are the center of all this. good to see you and the chicken!
Thank you for the tips. I did a cylinder head on the same year wrangler at the dealership and I don’t remember if I installed it with the rear bolt, so ill remember that if I ever do a cyl head on my Grand Cherokee. Thats a heavy ass head and we used a cherry picker to lift them off and back on so I wouldn’t be happy if I had to yank it back off for a bolt that wont go in. Knowing Chrysler service info, they probably don’t mention that, typical Chrysler service info goes- Step 1-remove cyl head, step two- reverse of removal
Ahh..the lady that is wearing multiple hats as of late has risen at dawn to post another pleasant and informative vid. Wishing you continued success, good health and happiness to you and yours.
Hi Faye, ack in March my 1993 Toyota Tercel kinda broke down on my way home from work. I had a lot of difficulties but found out later from my first mechanic that the CV boot split on the passenger side and the one on the driver side was not good either. He said he was afraid to look into the head because he thought it might need an overhaul. Also, we would not know what the problem was until the head was opened to tell for sure. I had my car towed back home. Lo and behold, the Great Spirit of the Universe just happened to send in my direction in life another auto mechanic who was looking to earn some money on the side . I explained the situation and he said he’d like to take a look at it. I said I would pay him and he named a reasonable price. I discovered it was a blown valve. ( I noticed that I have been taking good care of my engine coz it was so very clean inside.) I told him about you and what you do ; I asked if he could teach coz I want to learn more and he looked at me weird . Anyway, the valve was replaced a new head gasket and glue/sealant put on and put back together. Also those 2 CV shafts were replaced. ( I thought it was more economical to replace the whole CV shafts.) My car passed the smog test with flying colors. Since then it’s been a bee itch adjusting the idle so it won’t stall out or die on me.( I just hope my son doesn’t readjust it.)👍👍😀Thank you or all you do. Otherwise I would not not know even the little bit of knowledge that I have learned from from you. I appreciate you and I love learning from you, Faye. You are the Greatest!😀👍👍💐
Oh my gosh thats so cool!! I am so glad you found that mechanic!! So many mechanics I know wouldn't dream of doing hands-on learning! And I am so glad that he found value in your car and knew it was worth it to put the $$$ in! Hope all is well!
I agree. She is way more gorgeous than all of the grouchy dudes who I had the pleasure of working next to in my 15 year career at dealerships. Nothing against those guys, they are great for entertainment when they get pissed or get into an argument with a service advisor or the parts department

I always use a big piece of cardboard and shove the head bolts through it in the same position that they were in on the engine, using a sharpie to write and label front or rear of engine, An old guy taught me that.
Very sought after engine for the Jeep. It's basically the old Rambler 258ci engine with a redesigned front cover to shorten the overall length. Between the 4.0 six and the old 225ci six, it's a toss up. Seen these engines with over 300k miles.
@@on-site4094 Exactly. And with many newer engines, they are direct injected and some even turbocharged. Look at the mess that combination caused with the Honda Earth Dreams engine. And so far, the fix Honda offered isn't 100%. I'll keep my port injected cars for now.

Hey Faye new sub here. Enjoy your content. The question I have and maybe you’ve mentioned it, but what floor jack do you drag around when doing mobile jobs? Also what do you use to get your tools around? Thank you.
I have a very basic HF "ultra lightweight aluminum racing jack" and I used a dolly with 4 huge knobby wheels that I got from tractor supply co to move tools around. Most of the time, I would back my truck up close enough so that my toolbox was right there, but not always possible.
Wow i havent seen an Straight 6 cyn years!! ( last time it was a GM one on a 03 Trailblazer ). Great Video Faye!! :D, oh there is the chiken yay!! ^_^ . Btw Make up or no Make up there She is ..Pretty Faye always 👍😊😊👍
Hey, Faye. I want to make a little extra money by being a mechanic for my neighborhood kind of like what you're doing. I have enough knowledge to know what I'm doing on a lot of services and a good amount of experience doing work on my own car. I'm just a little nervous about running into problems (i.e. broken stud) with other people's cars. Should I go through with it? What's your advice? I plan on doing a lot of work with cars anyway.
Oh gosh, you are always going to run into problems like that, because rust is always going to happen, and customers will bring their cars to shady mechanics who don't care. The best thing to do is assess the vehicle first, and be really clear and communicative to your customers. Warn them that things may happen (subaru exhaust for example - always warn them about the studs breaking is a possibility!) set them up for realistic expectations and don't forget that rust and previous mechanics are not your fault, and you should charge to fix those things for the customer, but do not surprise them with the bill. Honestly, I learned this the hard way from experience. I now know which parts are trouble spots on most Toyotas, and I try to stick with what I know. This Jeep is out of my normal range of work, but it's fun anyways!
Go for it. You can subscribe to online websites that have repair manuals for just about anything. Pay a subscription fee and have access to any and all repair manuals. Use it to make money. Take money buy more tools.

Didn't know this as I've never done a head on a 4L Jeep engine. Round these parts the body sluffs off long before the engine has issues.
