As long as the time limits are reasonable, it's really not that hard if you just slow down and pay attention to the instructions. I actually like building IKEA stuff. First thing from them I built was a 6-drawer dresser and it took like 2 hours

At the very least more sense than Wade with "up/down" when, just like Mark says, he fails to consider things in 3D. Or at all, considering they just laugh instead of using more clear terms.

27:22 Distal: situated further from the center. The opposite is proximal (situated nearer to the center). These are anatomy terms, so Mark's biomedical engineering past is showing (he could have been an engineer, indeed).
If we're going to use medical terms, I think in this situation it would've made more sense to refer to them as the medial and lateral faces of the board, since it's not really about being distal or proximal here

I don't know about you, but Mark's instructions were crystal clear for me. Wade's instructions were ambiguous, as it depends on the perspective being considered. Are we talking about the current orientation, or the finished product? Saying "flower side up" can be interpreted either way.
While Mark should have said "flower side is receiving the legs" or something like that, his instructions clearly linked the flower side to the legs. This clearly means that the legs go into the flower side. In addition, "It is the line away from the flower" makes it clear that the lines go on the far side of the legs relative to the flower, and this also reinforces that it is the flower side in question.

I feel Wade's more simplistic approach makes far more sense, in the moment, when you take into account that all the blueprints for the tables presented them in an upside-down orientation, which is something that Mark had seen, as well as the way they were being built 95% of the time.

My ex was really into the crossover stuff with antisepticeye. I felt kinda sad when they finally made the showdown vid, they were obviously trying to kill it, the surge of homoerotisism that was complicating his friendship with Jack. It worked kinda too well in some ways. But i still miss just the feeling of those days, the slightly angsty mark because he was our funny wolf. The teeth, and the fluffy haired fresh talent. He's still our guy, all love and no homo, just a different flavor of human than he was.

That’s why I always do it alone. It’s not difficult, but you have to follow the instructions. It gets chaotic pretty fast if you do it with two or more people.
