#33 Copper + Wood & Wood + Copper Rings

In this video, I show how I made my copper + wood & wood + copper rings. I've wanted a copper ring for a while but couldn't decide whether I wanted the copper on the inside or the outside. So I decided to make one of each and then decide. I'm using standing copper piping that is used commonly in the UK in plumbing. It's sort of cheating but made like a lot easier not to do any soldering. I am also using a Rosewood veneer wood that is left over from my Curved Laptop Stand. I made them in a day, and as you'll see in the video or later on, that would have been a bit faster if I had used the right sizes from the start!

Neat idea, I for sure would put a clear coat on the copper though, the fresh red copper is one of my favorite metal looks, not to mention I can't stand the copper tarnish it leaves on your hands...nor the smell! Great video though for anyone who doesn't have a lathe!

Yes I might go back and add it. My hand doesn't seem to get the dreaded green too much, others seem to get loads and I have a friend that doesn't get it at all! Strange! I don't have a lathe so I think its good way to show other people it's possible without a lathe. Thanks for watching!
