Thank you Charles, I appreciate you watching and commenting. If I had to watch reruns I would fall asleep in front of the TV. Well it seems if I watch anything in front of the TV I fall asleep LOL. Thanks again, Gary
Very nice. I just completed my very first bowl and because of people like you and Phil and Mike Peace and Sam Angelo it was a lot easier and turned out great. If it wasn't for you all I wouldn't of got this far! Thank you.
Hi Gary! Beautiful little English walnut bowl, and the Howard Feed’n’Wax gives it a lovely subtle shine, I like that a lot, lets the wood show its natural beauty… The worm holes add to the interest of the piece, and who knows, if used as a breakfast bowl they might even add a little bit of protein to your corn flakes 😉 In any case, if you serve breakfast in this bowl to your wife next February 14, it will surely put a smile on her face 😊👍🏻 Beautiful! Thank you, Gary 🙏🏻
Thank you and for sure you have some great points. The worm holes do add a lot of interest and it would be a be a great bowl for weight watching LOL. When I first got this would I was turning very green piece of this tree and alive worm came crawling out. I took it out in the backyard and showed my wife LOL. I gave it to her today and might have to put something in it special on February 14 next year. Thanks for watching and the great ideas. Gary
Thank you John, a few years before I got this stuff I got some English Walnut from a walnut orchard that had been cut down to grow something else. The wood was much lighter. But the trees were also much smaller and they are all grafted onto Black Walnut roots because that grows better around here. At least that is what I was told, Thanks for watching, Gary
Thanks so much. Yes the Howard is a great finish. And the kitty is laying right next to me this minute as I type. They both get their treats right before we go to bed. And they know exactly where to wait for them. They have us trained well LOL. Thanks for watching, Gary
Hello Gary, that’s a cool looking bowl. Sunday morning, enjoying a cup of coffee and watching one of my favorite turners! Appreciate ya buddy! Enjoy your Sunday.🇺🇸
Thank you JimmyDee! I really like the part about Gus. We do video meetings with friends and there cats will get on screen and then ours come to look. Thanks for watching, Gary
Thank you Jane, both kitties love to come out and wonder around. They will follow me to the door and look up like the are asking if it is ok. If I turn a noisy machine on they get out of there real fast Yes after having a work bench in the same spot for 45 years I decided it just did not work very well. So that meant dust collector changes and move some wires to the machines. Liking it so far but still trying to straighten up a few things. When it is cleaned up I will try to show what I did. Thanks for watching, Gary
Walnut seems to be a popular meal for those worms or bugs. I made a knob out of Walnut for a small lidded box and like you a worm hole emerged just before I finished the shape. Oh well...it ads character. Well done on this project as well as the description and video.
Thank you Gil! Like so many trees we get they were cut down because something like a worm killed them. But not all the pieces I have were damaged. Thanks for watching, Gary
