I miss that Sharon’s voice so much, so bright, high, angelic! This is something what I’d like to hear in their new songs (however I like them too, but in a different way). This song brings me a lot of emotional memories every time I listen to it. Thanks.
Same here, i absolutely love both, their older and newer songs, but can't really explain why (maybe because they are so different and i can can now hear WT in every situation?)
Oh my goodness can't believe you reacted to this song. man I love Within Temptation, and this song is also my personal favourite song in the entire Universe. Brings me back so many memories when I was I child. Live performance of this, is just... Delicately beautiful and haunting
First WT song I ever heard. The piano part was written by Martin Westerholt, who went on to found Delain. Sharon said they only had 3 days to record the album, so she had to do all her vocal tracks for the album in one day - no time to re-record anything. While Mother Earth and Heart of Everything are probably better albums, this is still my favourite
I first saw them Live back in 1997,when they just released "Enter...."(One of the Greatest Goth Metal Albums ever released besides "Mandylion" from The Gathering) ... and directly fell in Love with Sharon (Who's not?).....damn,23 Years ago now !
Oh, wow. A reaction video not only to a song from WT's 1st album "Enter" but also "Restless" which is one of their most intricate compositions. "Enter" as a whole is darker and slower than every other album from WT with lots of piano and most songs also with growls sung by Robert Westerholt. Love it. Thx for sharing.
You have done their best album and one of two their best songs. "Enter" is one of the best gothic metal albums. I need more of these songs: "Candles", "Enter", "Deep Within", "Blooded". And more gothic: try Tristania.
Yes I like them, even loved once. But gothic is gothic - always will be the best genre to me. Still, when think SM I hear "Mother Earth" and "Vovin". Nor NW (to few symphony) nor Epica (to much death).
Thanks Peter v V. Robert Westerholt says "It was a nice experience - it was our first album!" Vocalist Sharon den Adel recalls that "I only had one and a half days to record my parts and it was quite hectic, just a short warm-up and then 'Go'!"... Keyboards were played by Martijn Westerholt - now in the band Delain. Metal IS Family.
To bad you didn't do the live version from the Lowlands 2002 concert. So much better than the studio recording. Please check out 'The Dance' from the same Lowlands 2002 concert, absolute gorgeous!
If you want more symphonic metal, try Diabulus in Musica. They are a band from Spain and their most adored song is Crimson Gale. Try it! You won't be disappointed! 😉

Please do After Forever, Beyond Me. Sharon's and Floor's voices together is heaven!

Love Tristania!!! Vibeke Stene!!!
what about Silent Force and Mother Earth? Both equally amazing.

Enter & The Dance are the best albums/EPs they've done.
I had forgotten how beautiful this song is.

I love this song ❤ In the late 90s and early 2000s, several metal bands with a Gothic influence emerged. I miss that time.

Great song from my favorite WT album.
The beauty of Within Temptation - matched only by you and those eyes and that hair Suzy Q!
This is definitely one of the best songs from WT. Thank you for the reaction.
Stand My Ground is my fav. It's about standing up for yourself.

I love this song and live it's even better, too bad they don't play it live more often.
This song is from debut EP and if i remember correctly it is their first track on their album. How is that for a introduction? :-)
Please do "the other half of me" black simphony. Amazing!
If you want more symphonic metal, try Diabulus in Musica. They are a band from Spain and their most adored song is Crimson Gale. Try it! You won't be disappointed! 😉
