Saw them live for their Heart of Everything tour. I had to drive to a neighboring state and stay overnight in a hotel to go. The ticket was 40 bucks! I was close enough that when I reach out during THIS SONG she reached back and touched my hand. I cried. She's amazing.
Sharon is very friendly, met her at a signing session and she's an angel. The orchestra and choir aren't at every concert!!! lol It was a one-shot! Too expensive and difficult to organize I think. They're touring next year with Evanescence, got my tickets for Paris, cant' wait!!!

FYI the speech at the start of the song is one of Winston Churchill's during World War 2, one of the greatest speakers of the time. Sharon has been my crush since i heard WT's first album.

I was present at this show...tickets where 55 euro each....and it was realy great...almost three hours of perfect music.

@@mauijttewaal yes....as far as i know they only gave two concerts with full orcestra....this one in Rotterdam....and one in Antwerp a few years later
This one was partialy sponsort by BUMA STEMRA in the netherlands....thats why it could be so affordable
Supporting act was Keith Caputto....and it was a great concert...even though Sharon ha a cold and was on medication during the concert.
I love Within Temptation and the whole Black Symphony concert was amazing!
By the way, Within Temptation is going for European tour with Evanescence next year. Already have my ticket for Amsterdam show, it will be cool, for sure!

Oh, I was there! Front row on the left..... tickets were about $50 at the time I think, I still have it somewhere, even flying there from the UK and Train was pretty cheap! This was a one off special concert, don't think every show is like this lol, I've seen them about 8 times in 3 different countries.

Within Temptation and Evanescence were suppose to go on tour together last year, let’s hope they continue it for 2021
first time i interacted with WT was when i just random bought a CD "The Silence Force" back in 2004 because i wanted to find new bands to listen to. Since then i have been sold for WT and Sharon

I saw them in 2014 for $28. Of course they had no choir or orchestra, but it remains one of my top 5 concerts

This concert which is called Black Symphony was a one-off collab with the metropole orchestra so normally when you get tickets you don't pay for all of that. That aside they're never cheap of course because they're immensely popular.

I've seen them live in Philly. Unfortunately, they don't bring an orchestra with them. Three live songs on my channel.
The first time I saw them live I paid, I guess 20 guilders (yes, it was in '97, so pre-euro), so around 10 dollars, last time was around 35 euro's, so around 42 dollars. Both time no orchestra. I was too late to get a ticket for the Black Symphony show.

They only do the orchestra on 5 year periods and in France i think she also does solo concerts with a orchestra
This was in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Which makes sense, since they are a Dutch band. But yes, the full orchestra thing (same goes for other bands such as Epica) is usually a special one-off show for a special occasion. Normally they would perform with backing tracks.

I have a question since you are a band. Did Nightwish and Within Temptation co.e up with new genres for the music industry? Symphonicrap and Symphonicmetalcore? Would be interesting to see bands take those mantles up. Within Temptation and we run Nightwish yours is an empty hope

Too bad Churchill ruined the world for his own greed and ambition.
What a crap ... Churchill was the guy, who warned about Hitler and fascist way before the others - and was called "warmonger" and "war dog", because fo that. It was him who warned about Soviet union and was again right. The only big thing, that was bad about him was when he took food from people of India to feed England citizens, but in a rough times, comes rough decision - and he must choose, if England will live and fight Germany, or surrender - and he chose as he chose, because he was Brittish not Hindu. All that stupid talks about racism and supremacy are irrelevant, because you cannot judge the past through the eyes of present times. We now know that many things are from our view bad, but in those times form their perspective they were not. The only thing, that we can do, is not repeat their mistakes. Nobody is perfect and we owe that guy for todays world not ruled by descendants of Nazis and for opportunity to say what we want, live on our own, not in order of nazi or commie rules (though commies are trying to come back thru Antifa and their buddies - road to hell it still paved with good intentions).

Awww, back when WT were actually good...their next album was okay, but anything after that has been poppy nonsense...about the same disappointment for me when I heard Sandman back in the day...
Many oved from WT as they became more mainstream commercial. Early stuff is still amazing.
