The nightgowns reminded me of how back in the 60s and 70s my grandmother had a drawer of pretty nightgowns and robes that she had received as gifts and they were only used when she went to the hospital.
My mother saved pretty nightgowns and house coat ,just in case she had to go to the hospital 🤣🤣I remember her having the cutest sling back slippers with accent of feathers that she saved too 🤣🤣🤣❤️
My Mom had several nightgown and robe sets. She wore some at home but saved some for the hospital. She also had the cutest bed jackets that she saved for when she had to stay in the hospital.
My gram was the same way. She had some many things put to the side incase she had to be in the hospital. I wish RUclips was a thing or that I had known someone like Lacy when she passed. I would have sent everything to her. She appears to be close in size to what my gram was.
Lacy, I was born in the mid 60s. I remember as a child wearing "fancy" gowns with matching housecoats. Back then, we even looked nice for bed! I really enjoy your show. Although I was born in the 60s, a lot of things I grew up with were from the 30s,40s,and 50s. There are so many things you show in your videos that my mother had and some things I currently have and still use! Thanks for the memories!
I was born in Scotland in 1960 . When I was about 10 we were on a caravan holiday up in the Rural North . There was a dance one night and we went along . The farmers wives and daughters were wearing fancy floor length nighties ! Not dresses , definitely nighties . They had bought them from a catalogue . Strange childhood memory , one of many
That girdle brought back bad memories of squeezing into it. My mother made me wear it at 14 years old in 1965. I was ecstatic when pantyhose came out. The 70’s was my favorite time.
Hi, sweet Laci! We had a Greyhound we named Bette. Our last name is Davis, and when friends saw Bette they would sing "Bette Davis Eyes"! So, I love that song, too!
New to your channel. Really enjoyed seeing the clothes in this video. They really remind me of my Mama who has been gone for thirty years this year. (She was a 1950s woman, married in 1953.) She always wore matching nightgown and robe sets. As a side note, we just camped in Escalante, Utah at a new RV park called Yonder Escalante. In addition to RV sites, they have cabins and vintage Airstream campers to rent. They also have a drive-in movie with a bunch of classic cars to sit in. The public areas are decorated with a mid-century vibe. All of that would be a great backdrop for photographing your beautiful clothes and it wouldn't be too far of a trip.
4:37 Fun fact: the songwriters of "The Christmas Song" wrote it during a heat wave in the middle of July! They said writing a Christmas song helped them get their minds off the awful heat.
I used to collect all sorts of ceramics, old plates, cookie jars, figurines, until one day I realized after doing my house work I was exhausting myself with my collection trying to keep up the dusting on it all. I packed several boxes with all my beautiful things and gave them to nieces and friends. Don’t miss it because I get to see these things in their home.
Johnny Cash is so funny at the beginning of your video 😊 Great Albums and recipe books you found 💕 cool picnic set, siesta ware, and shaker. 💖 Pretty slip and nighties 💕 Cute kitty and bird dress TFS Have a great rest of your week 🥰
I love seeing JC💕!!! But I love seeing all your kitties! My Mom passed away too with Alzheimer's. She suffered for twelve years...I know your pain😞. Take care and have a great week...hugs for all the kitties❤️
I still have the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook that was given to me by my cousin when I was in the 7th grade. (I M 64) Still use it a lot. the pages are stained and brittle. Love your thrift hauls!
Hi Laci, You look smashing in that aqua color kitty and bird dress. Those night gowns fit you like they were made for you. Hope your husband enjoys them as much as you. Happy Summer Mike
It's fun seeing what other people get thrifting, thank you. I'd leave the last dress as is, the color fading at the bottom looked intentional from the distance of the camera at least. Two weeks ago at a yard sale I got a vintage throw pillow that was hand woven in a 60's flower pattern and it has the person's initials in the corner that did the weaving. It was only a dollar, one of those things I saw out of the corner of my eye walking up to pay for something else. My favorite part is the initials, it makes me feel a connection to the person who made it.
Thank You for supporting Alzheimer's/Dementia. My mother n law had Dementia and as you know it took away her once very active independent life. She traveled the world on cruises with her best friend. And you bought back some found with that Harry Welcome album. My mom had it and I think she wore it out.
Laci, I was born in 1950 and I so love your lifestyle and the beautiful things you find. You bring back such lovely memories to me. My favorites were the glasses and the light blue short nightie.💗💗
Laci all the clothing looks beautiful on you as if it was custom made. When you brought out the picnic bowel I it was going to be a purse 😂 Love the tiki glasses. Your the coolest Vintage Neighbor and its so neat to see you living your dreams.
Those nightgowns are to die for, especially the hot pink set! How gorgeous!! And I think I have your white pleated slip's cousin - I have one in tan! As for yard sales, we have a ton around here. Haven't hit any yet this year but I'm looking forward to it! What I have been excited about is the Deseret Ind that went in across town this year - today I found a 1930s black satin women's lounge coat by Eisenberg & Sons Original, in immaculate condition! I was so excited!! It's made for someone FAR shorter than me, but still a treasure.
I started watching your videos recently , love them ! A great mix of vintage and thrifting and cooking. You can tell you really care about what you are filming !
Cool records and cool cookbooks! We used to wear those girdles in the early 1960's until the greatest invention of the 20th century - pantyhose. lol and the slips and sleepwear were wonderful back in the day. If I had to pick a fav it would be the Lindy Bop dress. Looks comfortable and perfect on you. Great treasures!
I love thrift haul videos! That TV’s men’s cookbook reminds me for some reason of Bewitched backyard. When I think of vintage backyards I always think of that patio! LOVED IT!
Wow great finds!!! LOVE all the tiki stuff and the cookbooks ! Love the night gowns too! Beautiful!! Same birth year as you. I'm a November baby ! Good to see you looking happy 😀
Good thing you sorted through your closet lately! Those nightgowns are gorgeous! Without getting too personal, a video about “under things” would be very interesting.(care, storing etc). I’m lucky to be in an area that has lots of estate auctions & community garage sales…..got some great Pyrex & a Napcoware Orange Juice jug with 6 glasses, all had their original stickers! I always enjoy your videos, Laci!
I have that black album with Moon River and Maria, etc. I belonged to a record club and that was a pick for one of the months. It has been played over and over. Beautiful music, makes me so nostalgic.
I love Polynesian food. In the 60’s there was a restaurant I really liked called The Bahooka Inn. It was a tiki decorated place serving Polynesian food. Sadly, it’s no longer there. I love everything in your vintage haul. Those nightgowns! You are so lucky to get those and then, they fit perfectly.😀❤️
Super awesome finds! They were all really great it would be so hard to pick a favorite honestly, the music was very cool, the '80s were my era of music and there was so much great stuff and Betty Davis Eyes was, and is, one of my all-time favorites! I remember when it first came out and the video is so great as well! I never bought the album back then, but it is on my playlist on my phone ! I love all kinds of genres of music, you found some really great ones! All the treasures were super 😎 the cookbooks are always so fun, and the cocktail recipes always look so cool and colorful, I have some old Life magazines from the early 60s that I was able to acquire at some point, and one of them has a spread with different recipes and pictures of them. Love the picnic carrier and the siesta ware, it's really cool! And I definitely have to give mention to Mad Men, one greatest series ever, and one of my absolute favorites! 💖 I do agree, that one nightgown was definitely a Trudy Campbell style! Thanks for sharing, and also I think the Alzheimer's video and fundraiser is a really awesome thing to do! ❤️
I am SO pleased with all of your videos and your beautiful home and your style are just awesome! I came upon your videos while searching for antique pricing information and I just LOVE what you are doing. I HOPE when you went to Vegas for your Birthday that you went to Frankie's Tikki Bar ! IT's SO AUTHENTIC and amazing. The music, the vibe, the drinks, the décor ! I do not have as beautiful of a collection of vintage as you do, but there are things from every decade that I collect, and this bar ware and cookbook are an amazing find! Keep up the beautiful and entertaining content, you make my day !
We just ate a Trader Vics down the road from us in Emeryville, California!! Tiki drinks for all 🗿🍹 Plus we shared a puu puu platter. We have a few older Trader Vics pieces in our collection 😀
I so wish I would have started collecting when I was younger I’m 59 and I love all the clothes and hairstyles and accessories 💕My last find MCM ribbed green dip and chip bowls. I don’t have to lose weight to buy beautiful glass 🥰
I love Betty Davis eyes by Kim Carnes. I recently downloaded it from the iTunes Store. I am an 80s girl, that’s the generation I grew up in. I graduated high school in 1982. Such a fun era.
I guess I'm an 80s girl as well lol. I graduated high school in 1984. But, I always felt that I was born 10 years or even 20 years too late lol! I love so many things from that time period. I guess that's why I subscribed to your channel 😉. That and the fact that Laci reminds me of my Mom ❤.
Great song. Laci and I are in the same high school class of 1999. I'm born Dec 1980 but most people born in 1981 are the same class as me. Laci was born April 1981 so I figure she's class of 1999.
I guess I misunderstood '80s girl' 😂! I thought it meant girls who were teenagers in the 80s. That explains why Laci looks *sooo* much younger than me. And, yes, that song is great!
The hot pink set is so pretty on you. All of your clothing fits you perfect. I have a blue glass bowl that is exactly like your light pink bowl. It was given to me and I was told it is from the early 60's.
We just had our community yard sale! I got some amazing glasswear and really old antiques. Picked up two antique chairs at 20 dollars for the set! I got some vintage clothes but not as old as yours. The only time I scored at the thirft store is when I found a mint condtion 3x wool coat with large gold buttons. I also got a plus size vintage night robe. It is difficult to find plus size cool vintage outfits. Loved the Tiki glasses!
Oh, so many comments. I live in Nashville and Kim Carnes was our neighbor, 5 houses down, about 20 years ago. She was very nice. Next, the Siestaware glasses were made by a company using colors from Fiestaware. Trying to make glasses which could work well with your colorful dishes. I collect Fiestaware and it's always fun to find things which match. Tiki basement is gonna be a gas. Lastly, after you modeled the vintage pink lingerie I kept thinking Rock Hudson or Dean Martin would pop out from around the corner. 🙂
I found two vintage compact mirrors. I collect them. They are gorgeous. Also found italian kid leather gloves never worn with bonwit teller tag on them for 7.00.
Oh my goodness what fantastic finds!!!! I love the nightwear beautiful pink set especially. The picnic container thingummy thing adorable. Much love from Scotland xx
This is my first time on your site. It’s super fun!! I hope you enjoy wearing that complicated underwear. It was such a liberation to be an Australian teen in the 1970’s when pantyhose released us from all those straps and layers. Add to that the sanitary straps that were replaced with self stick panty liners and we were practically flying.
I cannot decide.....are thrift haul videos my favourite or try on clothing/styling videos!!! Gah!.....hey, I LOVE them all, Laci! 💕😁💕 In the UK we dont really have garage or yard sales but we do have car boot.
Me and my mom frequent all the local estate sells and we find all sorts of neat things. Last week we went to one and I was able to pick up a vintage Costco step stool/chair and my favorite find was a near perfect condition 1956 Lawn-Boy push mower! There's another one coming up next week and it's advertising a ton of vintage and antique items and collectibles and I can't wait!
Hello vintage friends! My favorites were the pretty nightgowns and the cookbooks. Better Homes and Gardens and Betty Crocker are my personal favorite cookbooks because they're so detailed. I find them very interesting to read. Could you make another cooking video using one of the cookbooks you just bought?
I somehow came across your video and was hooked the second I saw your cat. We have a black cat too. I really enjoyed seeing your haul. I loved the Siesta Ware glasses. I subscribed to your channel and now it's time to start binging your older videos to get caught up. 🤗
I used to have my Mom's Betty Crocker cookbook. I don't remember when it was published but I want to say 1950s maybe. My parents married in 1962 so that might make sense. I wore that book out starting in Junior High school Home Ec class. Every time we were assigned to cook something of our own choosing, that was my go-to book! I loved the full color pictures of the different foods, the illustrations and the "instructions" -- how to set up and organize your kitchen, all the equipment (what to buy and how to use it), nutritional information, meal planning, explanations of cooking terms and full instructions, food storage, cooking times by type of meat and weight and so much more! Sadly, I lost it somewhere along the way. I miss that book. Sure, it was so worn out and much of the information was "outdated" but I loved it. Your videos have inspired me to search online to see if I could find another one.
Love your vids, brings back memories of my teen years. I had blue "baby doll" pjs like that and in the early 60's a girdle called the "postage stamp" girdle, it was minuscule ...☺️
I went to dinner at Trader Vic’s in DC in the early 1980’s! It was super fun. Reminded me of the Tiki Room at Disney World. Adult version, ha. Also I have my mom’s better homes cookbook!! Great memories on your channel!❤️
Oh my gosh my daughter just bought the Betty Crocker Outdoor Cookbook this weekend at an antique store. It’s fantastic! Thank you so much for a great video ❤️
The nightgowns reminded me of how back in the 60s and 70s my grandmother had a drawer of pretty nightgowns and robes that she had received as gifts and they were only used when she went to the hospital.

Susan, my grandmother did the very same thing. Our grandmothers were prepared. Have a blessed Thursday.

Nat King Cole! Smoothest voice ever, and my Mom’s all time favorite. Thanks for that memory, Laci. Great haul!
How are you doing 😊😊😊👋☺️
Holy crap - the original box with those tiki glasses! 😲
Yes!! I couldn’t believe the luck!
50s is difinitely looks colorful, classy, simple and laidback time.
That girdle brought back bad memories of squeezing into it. My mother made me wear it at 14 years old in 1965. I was ecstatic when pantyhose came out. The 70’s was my favorite time.
Now I can see you collecting 45s records and getting a sweet 50s design jukebox to play them on.
SO glad you give a fashion show, and all the items fit perfectly and look stunning on you
no comparison t merely holding up a limp dress or nightgown
My grandmother is currently suffering from dementia. It’s an incredibly sad and unfair disease. I love that you’re bringing awareness to it!
Hi, sweet Laci! We had a Greyhound we named Bette. Our last name is Davis, and when friends saw Bette they would sing "Bette Davis Eyes"! So, I love that song, too!
Haha that’s awesome!!

4:37 Fun fact: the songwriters of "The Christmas Song" wrote it during a heat wave in the middle of July! They said writing a Christmas song helped them get their minds off the awful heat.
Yes! Love Mel Torme! He was only 18 or 19 when he wrote it!
Laci needs some good Mel Torme albums now…Chris Connor, Julie London and Patti Page are other favorites!
That is the best intro of any RUclips video of all time. Period.
The nightgowns reminded me of the Doris Day movies! 🌸🌺
Who agrees that clothing was better constructed and sewn in the past?
When Mr. Cash is asleep, the world stops! He is that cool!
Awww! Johnny Cash's little meows at the beginning of the video was sooo sweet!
Haha he’s a babe.
Wondering if your neighbor Betty-Jean has seen your beautiful home, I’m sure it would bring back so many memories! Love watching your channel!
That Siesta Ware tiki glass set is a seriously great find - what a treasure!!
Seriously I was super jealous lol
Such beautiful finds. I had a hot pink nightgown like that in the 60’s. I felt like a glamorous movie star in it.
I wouldn't miss this video for the world! 🥂
Yay! So glad you’re here!
I love the nightgowns and the last dress!! I wish they still made nightgowns like that.
I love the pink bowl. It totally matches your chair!
Nat King Cole is my fav…all his songs! My mom would put him on every Saturday morning and we would clean our house in our pjs.
How are you doing 😊😊😊👋
It's fun seeing what other people get thrifting, thank you. I'd leave the last dress as is, the color fading at the bottom looked intentional from the distance of the camera at least. Two weeks ago at a yard sale I got a vintage throw pillow that was hand woven in a 60's flower pattern and it has the person's initials in the corner that did the weaving. It was only a dollar, one of those things I saw out of the corner of my eye walking up to pay for something else. My favorite part is the initials, it makes me feel a connection to the person who made it.
Omg 😍😍😍those night gowns are to die for . You are a breath of fresh air in these dark times 🤗
Thank You for supporting Alzheimer's/Dementia. My mother n law had Dementia and as you know it took away her once very active independent life. She traveled the world on cruises with her best friend. And you bought back some found with that Harry Welcome album. My mom had it and I think she wore it out.
Oh I forgot to mention the blue dress with the cats was my favorite. That shade of blue is fabulous on you.
Peignoir is the name of the beautiful night gown with matching robe. Beautiful
Laci, I was born in 1950 and I so love your lifestyle and the beautiful things you find. You bring back such lovely memories to me. My favorites were the glasses and the light blue short nightie.💗💗

Laci, Johnny Cash loves you so much! 🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️
How are you doing 😊👋👋😊
These videos remind me so much of my childhood! I love the fifties!
I love the Mad Men reference! “Well hells bells Trudy!” 😁
Always love your content , love the matching nightgown and robe, it’s more elegant than many of today’s dresses let alone nightgowns.
Love the nightwear but the Better Homes and Garden cookbook!!!!!

As soon as you showed the blue baby doll nightgown I said “that’s a Trudy Campbell one!” Lol such good finds 🙂
I love Mr.Cash! I had a kitty 🐈⬛ like him named Cleo and he liked taking naps with me after I would come back from my early shift.
Love all your finds, you are the best, please don't ever change. Blessings for you and your family!!!

The cake pan is called a springform ☺️
I love love that hot pink nightgown and matching robe!

The nightgown at 15:50 is stunning!! ❤️
It's so strange how you show us the clothes you buy and my first thoughts are "why that?" but when you put it on those same clothes just SHINE!
I love the princess cut hot pink nightgown and robe!
How are you doing 😊😊😊👋😊
16:50 The doll I had as a child had a blue dress on exactly like this! So cute to see it in adult size 😊
The pink rose night gown soon as i seen you in it i was like wowww!! like an angel your husband's eye will pop =)
The siesta ware glasses are beautiful. Plus the picnic bowl is so cool. ❤️❤️❤️

I always tell my daughters to save their clothing because eventually most things come back in style and their children or grandchildren can wear them.
I love Betty Davis eyes by Kim Carnes. I recently downloaded it from the iTunes Store. I am an 80s girl, that’s the generation I grew up in. I graduated high school in 1982. Such a fun era.

How are you doing 😊😊😊👋☺️
@@bryanjason1980 do l know you?
I love your new hair color , it suits you so much more, and so much more softer. YAY !
Love the pink Viking bowl!

Add to that the sanitary straps that were replaced with self stick panty liners and we were practically flying.
That picnic ball thing is extremely neat !
Wow, the night gowns looked fab on you!
Lol love the guy on the book. Oh the night gown WOW
Those books look brand new! Lucky find!
Super jealous of how great you look in everything!
That lindybop dress is everything. The cut of the dress is so beautiful on you.
I somehow came across your video and was hooked the second I saw your cat. We have a black cat too. I really enjoyed seeing your haul. I loved the Siesta Ware glasses. I subscribed to your channel and now it's time to start binging your older videos to get caught up. 🤗
Hi Laci. I loved the pink bowl and the blue dress with the lace . Marie
Girl, I collect vintage cookbooks as well. Mostly vintage Betty Crocker but have others too.
They are so fun!
You always make my day better! Thanks for the great video!
I'm so sorry for your lost Laci keep up the good work 💖
Very nice haul, I feel like the Tiki glasses were the best find, I always liked them as a kid.
Thanks for the video.
Love your vids, brings back memories of my teen years. I had blue "baby doll" pjs like that and in the early 60's a girdle called the "postage stamp" girdle, it was minuscule ...☺️
I love the beautiful vintage gowns and especially the nightgowns and girdles! So pretty!
I went to dinner at Trader Vic’s in DC in the early 1980’s! It was super fun. Reminded me of the Tiki Room at Disney World. Adult version, ha. Also I have my mom’s better homes cookbook!! Great memories on your channel!❤️
That character on the one cookbook looked like the Grinch.
Oh my gosh my daughter just bought the Betty Crocker Outdoor Cookbook this weekend at an antique store. It’s fantastic! Thank you so much for a great video ❤️
How are you doing 😊😊😊👋
