Greetings Laci Fay, Vintage neighbor. Very nice purchase. I like watching your videos. I will be 35 in February. I live in Czech Republic.. You inspired me so much that I like the things and style of the 50s-60s. I always ask my friends if they have things from the 50's to the 60's. And I also have grandparents who had a wedding in those years. Unfortunately, only my grandfather (my mother's father) and grandmother (my father's mother) live. I wish you good luck and a beautiful day and I look forward to another video. 🌹
Oh my. You mentioned a circle skirt and felt appliqués. In the 50s my mother made felt circle skirts for myself and my two sisters. We wore these on the holidays because she handmade adorable little felt appliqués according to each holiday. Valentine’s Day I remember she had a white cart with Valentines overflowing from the cart. Christmas we had a tree and all sorts of toys underneath each tree etc. What must’ve been a labor of love hand basting each one of those appliqués on the skirts. We loved our felt skirts!! Could hardly wait to wear them to school. Thank you for the memory 💕

I have never seen a thrift store so large, we here in the UK have many many charity shops but none you need a shopping trolley to go in with. None of ours are open at the minute and I can't wait to get back thrifty. Love as always xx
Pretty normal sized for a US city, particularly chains like Goodwill. We also have plenty of tiny charity shops, just old storefronts - lots of hidden treasures in those!

Most UK towns city's and villages have a hospice and they will have a store front shop. Many animal rescues have store front shops and charities for dementia, mental health etc all have stores. I was at my favorite thrift shop & an obviously new shopper was there Facetiming with a friend showing her all the amazing things on the shelves. They were both going nuts over some vintage Pyrex just as I found an amazing vintage dress! I couldn’t help but share my find. It was cute when the gal on the phone asked her friend to point the phone so she could see where I’d pointed out the hook & eye closure & metal zipper. Then camera gal said, that’s just like “Vintage Girl Next Door”, my daughter watches! So, here I am! Thrift shops are amazing. Oh, my mom had Meals in Minutes! (I was born in 1957).

Can never have enough thrifted sewing notions. I sew and you can find such good deals. I actually have a 1950 Singer 66. It's black and gold with flowers designs.
Btw, I had a little owl broach for my kindergarten photo, the kitty broach reminded me of that. I lived in OKC and there was a vintage clothing store with gloves from the 30’s and 40’s I felt like Joan Crawford. Hats and mink coats and tuxedo’s for the guys. I miss that store
The turquoise sewing machine 🤩 best if it would have been in the other table. And the fire King gold rim dish set was a marvel. Too bad it was dishwasher damaged.
So I have got to go thru and thin out some items from my grandma. She past almost 15 years ago and I have so many things that I need to pass to others who will use and appreciate them! I will go thru her large cookbook collection, some handkerchiefs, and odd & ends. I just hate to pass them on to places that won't appreciate them. I think you Lacy are the perfect person. I hope to get to them in the next couple of months and will send them if I can. Seeing your lovely videos really bring a smile because they give me info on how my grandma lived and how my mother was raised. Thank you for your great content! Gratefully, Jennifer Hult
I like your cat! I recently went to an thrift store just to find a 1950s style dress and I only found a whole bunch of Nancy Drew. I had all of the Nancy Drew they were offering. I have 1-30 but I have two copies of the 30th one. One from 1953 (the same year it was published) and a new copy from my great grandma. But anyways I didn’t find a 1950s dress in my size because I am on only 11 years old and I find it rare to find an actual dress my size from 1950s. I also found some vintage yarn that was in good condition. I love that you went crazy with the sewing stuff. I would do the same if I found crochet things. Great video!
Want to say thank you so much for all the time and efforts that you put into all your posts for all of us out here in you tube land! I find every single post so calming and relaxing......especially during these challenges that were all facing. Please stay safe and healthy out there!!
Would you mind making a video on "Basics to Own" clothing wise when staring out to wear 1950s style. Like Cardigans, shoes, basic of skirt prints, lengths and styles.
I've been doing a lot of online thrifting through Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, and Ebay and my recent exciting finds were a 1937 Singer 31K, pieces for my 1960s-70s Arcopal opal glass collection, and a STUNNING rhinestone and silver 40s or 50s brooch. Love seeing your thrift hauls. 🖤
I love thrift stores. I have not been able to shop this year with the stay at home rule. I also look through sewing notions. I was surprised when I saw zippers are selling for $6. So 25 cents for is a deal. I bought vintage knitting pattern books and I also bought wool that was dated 1970's. The wool was so soft compared to the wool today. I love to knit and crochet. I also sew. I look for art supplies because I am a self taught artist. Keep making these great videos
I’m the appraiser at our thrift shop, well me and google lens :) I can never leave the vintage rick rack behind! I agree that shelving is random; one of the worst offenders are jeans. Trying to find 30 or 32 waist men’s jeans for my teen was fraught. That rack was always full of “boyfriend“ jeans, grrr Feeling the sewing machines! I have a friend who collects them like you collect brooches 😂 Currently, she has 15! It’s been a delight eating my hospital dinner with you 💖
I found this channel just passing by... but watched it. I love what I saw! My mother in law has tea sets galore. I love how She has something for everything! My kids love visiting her and enjoy her tea parties with her vintage items. Thanks for sharing!
I always go for the sewing machines and sewing notions. My husband laughed when you made a comment about the bias tape. I have tons plus zippers. I just started watching you. I'll have to look through your videos to see what you have sewn. Have a great week!♡♡♡
I collect vintage cookbooks too. A couple of weeks before Christmas my hubby and I went into a Salvation Army store. They had several vintage sewing machines for $250 each. One was in a cabinet similar in shape to the last one you showed. It was fully refurbished. Hubby went back to the store and bought it for me for Christmas. It's from 1921. Love the purple shoes. Like you, I have to look at everything. I knew that vintage clothing was sized differently than today. Just didn't think of looking at all of the different size areas.
Enjoyed Thrifting with you. I have a flame point Siamese cat, Corky Noodleman, who resembles your little guy. Massive Tom, very intelligent and a wonderful cat. Not fat, just a large frame. I just adore him as I do all my critters. Love the shoes. My goodness. You’re almost at 100,000 subscribers. Congratulations.
Laci, I adore your videos! You are such a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing your love of vintage things and inviting us into your world of happiness and joy. It's so sweet and refreshing. XO
Fun finds! Shoes are 80-90’s, not 50’s. Love the kitty pin, & oh my someone else who goes bonkers over sewing notions and machines! I was very excited by that. I’m selling all of my glove collection on eBay because I never wear anymore
I have a set of Mikasa dishes that came from at least the 50s maybe earlier but I also have limoge China from my other grandmother which I am going to keep so unfortunately I have to part with the Mikasa. If you would like a picture of them most of the set is there. My fave thing you found are the shoes! ❤️
I think it would be fun for you to review and show how you determine what clothes are actual vintage i.e. characteristics you look for, etc. You ALWAYS look nice!
Man I keep seeing the squirrel on the nut ceramic dish all over I seen two at a thrift store in Bama where I live lol there must have been a big production of them.
Doing ceramics was very popular. The squirrel on a walnut or on a peanut are nut dishes. My dad did both in the early '70's. You bought them plain and painted them yourself.
You always say vintage sizes are different and I know what you are talking about. But I would love if you made a full video showing and explaining everything about how sizing is different with examples.
People were smaller back in the 20s30s40s etc.
As someone plus size id love this! Ive only got one true vintage dress and its size 24 1/2 I typically wear an 18

Hoping you are doing better I miss your videos! So glad you’re here.
It’s been a delight eating my hospital dinner with you 💖
I love the 40s - 50s clothing styles and furniture
I found this channel just passing by... but watched it. I love what I saw! My mother in law has tea sets galore. I love how She has something for everything! My kids love visiting her and enjoy her tea parties with her vintage items. Thanks for sharing!
Thrifting? Vintage? Cats? Sold. Hello from a newbie. 🖤
I always go for the sewing machines and sewing notions. My husband laughed when you made a comment about the bias tape. I have tons plus zippers. I just started watching you. I'll have to look through your videos to see what you have sewn. Have a great week!♡♡♡
Dinner in a dish was one of my parents go to cook books. Mom still has it! Love your channel! Love you hair. Will you do mine for me? Lol
Just didn't think of looking at all of the different size areas.
why is it that now a days people look at you like you have 3 heads when you say 'Thank You cards' ???
Enjoyed Thrifting with you. I have a flame point Siamese cat, Corky Noodleman, who resembles your little guy. Massive Tom, very intelligent and a wonderful cat. Not fat, just a large frame. I just adore him as I do all my critters. Love the shoes. My goodness. You’re almost at 100,000 subscribers. Congratulations.
The collar you got is called "Battenburg lace" ,very pretty! Love your channel!

Those vintage shoes are Gorgeous! Wonderful find. Really enjoying your vlogs! Thank you.
I loved this video! Your mom did a super job, too!❤️
I love how delicately and thoughtfully you walk through all the sections of the stores
Looks like a fun day!! How fun to do those things with your Mom!!
Just found a gorgeous vintage starburst broach pin today. Feels so good to know there are still beautiful pieces out there if your willing to look.
Fun finds! Shoes are 80-90’s, not 50’s. Love the kitty pin, & oh my someone else who goes bonkers over sewing notions and machines! I was very excited by that. I’m selling all of my glove collection on eBay because I never wear anymore
Your personality and content bring me joy! Thank you for your uplifting channel. Keep up the great work! 💕
It's a happy day for me when you post a video.
My favorite item that you found was the set of sun burst plates! Love that look. Also the shoes.
This has made my day seeing you upload a new video! Thank you
I too love going to the thrift stores in my area, thank you for taking us along! I go at least once a week, never know what your going to find.
this is probably my favorite type of stuff to watch on yt now lmao
