Resellers (like me) are only one part of why prices go up at thrift stores. We have to admit that we are part of it, not the only reason but part of it.
Yes! A big part but I understand. People in my city say that you can find at Walmart NEW stuff for cheaper prices.
What a peaceful shopping trip; no music, no screaming kids and no vacuums being tested! 😅
I was at Goodwill today when workers brought out 5 carts! Just one woman and me!! Got 2 beautiful English flowered cups and saucers and sooo much! Then I realized my car key was gone. Panic. A woman watched my cart, I went outside-- no key. Back in guy at checkout said "Found your keys!" Whew. Oh the treasures I got. Good day for Goodwill right? I understand joy in a find!!
Put a big bright keyring on ,mine is a 7inch icecream cone strawberry, it stands out!
I was at Goodwill January 2024 to drop off items I didn't need anymore. I got off my car to help the young man with boxes and clothes I had my car keys in one hand, when we got everything off the car I didn't have my keys. I found them in my car trunk. Now I have a sensor on my keys to let and help find them.
@@virginiafranco1262 It's frightening when you think you've lost them! Glad you found yours. That day, I didn't have on a jacket or coat so I had no pockets where usually I put my key-- and the ring has 2 visible things on it. Should.I have put them in my purse? Course! Glad we both got our car keys.

Hello Danni. That castle @ 32:56 is Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. My husband and I toured it in 1975. It was what inspired the Disney Castle! ❤

So much fun to go shopping with you. Pressed flower framed piece was sweet, and that small pink vase made in China was lovely. You make me giggle every time you decide to leave an item on the shelf because you always give the item a little pat and apology because you will not be able to bring it home. Hee hee.
the painted tiles brought back memory for me. my brother bought a set of these for Mom on Mother's Day. that was 65 years ago. hung on the dining room wall for number of years. sweet.

I have those Mickey Mouse disco ball ornaments in sliver and red! I worked at Disney when I was in college and my kids got them for me. ❤️
The frosted glass Madonna piece has a base that holds a tea light candle behind it. We had one years ago and put it out every Christmas. So pretty lit up at night.
My weakness is wooden boxes about the size of shoe shine boxes . I have absolutely no room for any more but I do like them .
Now if I find one I like I have to give up one. But it’s fun looking

I miss my mom everytime I watch you. Which believe me it's a good thing but she made us girls pick up and feel everything too. You are so right about touching all of it. After awhile you if it's cheap or not. I love to go and go every chance I get. People will ask me where I got an idea from and they love it. I tell them some kind of thrift store. Guess it's in the blood after all I was district manager for the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughter's Thrift stores 25 years. Just wish I lived close to you so I could help you, volunteering of course. But, what fun we would have.❤❤❤

That was sweet but she left it behind which puzzled me as she said she was shopping for a Valentine's Day auction. How much more Valentine's Day can you get than Cupid with his bow on a heart shaped dish.

You have an incredible GW where you live. I love watching your videos. I’m not a reseller, however I just love collecting unique items for my home. I loved that shell you passed up with the Japanese writing on it. That would have definitely gone home with me!
I didn't get out once for Chrisrtmas. My Arthritic back hurt all season. I've started seeing a chiropractor but not real optimistic. My daughter shopped for me, but I felt sad and left out.

Just as a FYI The Starbucks did not ever have a lid it was originally a Candle jar. It was pretty obvious didn’t have the type of rim necessary for a cover it’s hand painted from Italy there were like maybe 4 different hand painted designs not easily found in US after candle is finished it could be use as a kind of a trinket jar or as planter Hope this information helps
Yesterday I went to my local Goodwill store, and to my surprise they brought several carts out while I was there. Usually I don't see carts, so this was new to me. Funny thing is, I watched from a distance as the young lady took some items to the shelves ... As soon as I spotted an interesting piece, I made sure to swoop in and grab it!!! I scored some really nice wine glasses and cordials. Crystal no less! I kept watching and paying attention.... before long my cart was half full and I I was tickled pink! I think I will go to Goodwill more often now. I plan to keep all the treasures I found. I am not a re-seller.... YET!! Hahaha!!!

The charity shops here do not seem to understand that you can't put an ebay price on something because you dont have the huge marketplace that ebay has.

Mine thinks it’s a boutique! There are really styling it nice , but I think they could sell more product with a different pricing structure.

Hi - just started watching your videos and really enjoy them! I'm a reseller too - have been for many years. You pick up some really nice things. I noticed a day planner in green/turquoise when you were looking through the small art. These day planners are selling quite well on ebay - I've sold a few - so if they're cheap it may be good to grab them. Just a tip. Thanks for showing us what sells! I'm always learning from you and other youtubers!

The bracelet you picked up with the blue beads, the beads are called cat eye beads. At least that's what the beads sellers call them.

Good luck finding vintage Valentine decor. It's been a bust at my local thrift stores this season. Did stop in at some of my favorite antique/vintage shops and had a little better luck. I found Lefton Valentine figurines reasonably priced compared to Ebay or Etsy, plus no shipping.

Not hypothetical. Danni researches every item and the prices shown are based on what the item sells for or sold for in the past.

This was a really fun video! Really appreciated the no radio. You did so well. Maybe the sun pin will still be there on Sr day. I think that would have great appeal Sun, Moon, stars, Always go well with turquoise, sterling, big rings, and bracelet bands. These all appeal to a lot of buyers.

Those very cute jars with stoppers would be perfect for bath salts. If nothing else is great for gifting with bubble bath or salts
At some Goodwills I have to turn OFF my WiFi….then my phone data takes over and I get signals. One store there is a dead area at back of store with this also. Move to the front and it works. Next door at Salvation Army…. No signal at all…. Give it a try….
Those are not moonstone…they are beads made from melted fiber optic cables…very popular.
