I laughed at your comment about having a pool table in your dining room. It reminded me of the old TV show, The Beverly Hillbillies. They thought the pool table in their mansion was a fancy new kind of dining table, they even used the cues to pass the pot of food.
That was their "fancy eatin' table" lol

Danni, I bought a house that was broken into, all of the appliances were stolen prior to our move in. We still moved in. Updated our security system and are well armed 😊.

You’re driving up the prices at that store. They know you and probably others come in and “make money” off their stuff. They don’t realize you may be sitting on that for a long while though. They figure if a reseller says it’s triple the amount or more, they can start doubling the amount they can ask for. I don’t resell, I go to goodwill to try and find things much cheaper than eBay pricing for my own use. However the more the reseller videos are released, the harder it is for me to find things. I don’t wish reselling would stop, I just wish they weren’t advertising their “great finds” online. Especially since resellers may not really get what they say it’s worth and may not even sell the item. It just makes the thrift store up charge way more often. We all don’t get senior discounts either, LOL. Anyhow, not complaining, just saying why the prices seem higher. They figure if someone wants it, they’ll buy it for that and they don’t care if a reseller doesn’t pick it up, they figure someone else will.
I've actually talked with managers and executives at Goodwill and resellers are not the reason for increased prices, inflation is the reason for increased prices just like with everything else around us! They know their job is to turn things over quickly - they have a system that works by pricing, running 50% off if it doesn't sell within 3 weeks - then a $1 day - then if still not sold it's off to the bins to be sold by the pound!

I hope you had the time to decorate this year, I know you have alot going on. My 3 kids are a year apart and suddenly our house was empty & we wete waking up on Christmas alone & then they had their own significant others and they are sharing time with their families. It hits so fast you dont even see it coming. Make these last few Christmas's the The kids best possible, everything else will wait. ❤ Not judging at all just sime advice from a mom who will never get use to waking up Christmas morning without them. They all pile in later in the day now🙂

I have lots of those Toby head mugs. Some are valuable but most go for $50 to $100 so not much money to be made, however, Elvis, Marilyn and Quuen Elizabeth are rare and worth about $400-500.

I collect the small international dolls; I hung quite a few on my Christmas tree. They are to me what your turtles are to you! And those were the prices I like to pay! Peoplel still do collect them; they are great for kids' school geneology projects or studies of a particular country.
