I was just about to post a very similar comment. I own some vintage pieces but have no idea what decade they are from and most of what I do own was gifted to me. I'd love to be able to walk into a thrift store and spot a gorgeous suit not unlike the beautiful green one you purchased. So stunning. 💚

I feel connected with the medieval. Don't worry I am not gonna walk in the street in a knight armor (lol) but I want to connect the best from the Old with the best from the New.
We are nowadays too comfortable at some parts in my opinion. And I just want to find a perfect way to connect old and new.

Some years ago we had a seventies night theme to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary and it was a great night and I was so surprised at how the teenagers got into the spirit of it dressing in 70s disco fashion with long hair, afros, bushy sideburns the works, even Elvis turned up. What a fantastic night. Thanks for your updates

I do have some books about the 1950’s, but not really that we’re written in the 1950’s.

The right dress for every occasion! One similari to the green One had my mom!!She had inherited It from my grandmother......once they were made to last!
Greetings from Utah! I just found your channel a few week’s ago. I subscribed before I even finished watching the first video. I was a teenager in the 90’s. I too have always had a love for the 40’s and 50’s. I grew up watching old classic movies and had pictures of Elvis covering my bedroom walls. I always had a very close relationship with my grandparents. I love hearing them talk about the “the good old days”. They have always been so in love. We lost my almost 90 year old grandpa this last fall. Some of my favorite memories is watching them dance together in the kitchen with Loui Armstrong and Glen Miller playing in the background. I love having girl days with my sisters,mom, grandma and my aunt to go see what kind of antique treasures we can find. What a rush when you go thrifty and find some good stuff! Your my kind a gal!😉

You have great vintage clothing karma! I have not found anything that fits me but one 40's black dress. Love the styling, but finding things in sizes much smaller than the sizes i need- now I'm a 14, but been 12 and 16 too. You have a gorgeous collection! Looks beautiful on you!

LOVE your vintage wardrobe; and the fact that you wear them so well. Using a "pressing cloth" [a piece of muslin works well] will minimize the shiny marks on fabric like rayon. See you soon, Lacy and thank you!! 😊

Your stuff is beautiful. I watch rear window last night. Grace Kelly? We so messed up. A while back, I bought a black dress from the 60s. It looks like something Jackie Kennedy would wear. It has a chiffon overlay. It's lined! So beautiful. No I want to get down where I can fit into it. I've got to lose weight to do that, but I think I will do that. It's a beautiful dress. The clothes from that era are amazing

I just loved the brown beaded 1930's dress. What a treasure. Also, the green 1940's Hollywood suit. Beautiful. I also wonder who wore it! Those truly were the greatest finds. In 1978 when I was a young newly married gal, I found a 1940's suit, it was gorgeous and I sure loved wearing it. Your videos are so fun. Thank you. :)

I like how the 60s one are a lot cooler than the others.
A lot of dresses from the 1940s were made of a crepe type of fabric. Very sheer. I bought a dress in the early 1980s which could still be worn today. A simple shirtwaist with 3/4 sleeves and a white cotton lace collar. I loved it. Wore it a lot. The green suit is quite flattering on you.

Oh my gosh, you can still find all these out in the wild for $4-$10?? My jaw was on the floor! I've made a few nice finds thrifting but I've only found one or two things from before the '50s and neither was a full on dress or suit! I want to live in this magical area of Utah (right, Utah?) where people are still dropping off such treasures. ;) I really love that '30s dress (I gasped!) and the emerald green suit in particular~ Gorgeous!
