I have been searching for my emron blue 1989 conquest tsi since 1994. It was the first car I bought on my own and I was 21 and It will always be my favorite car. I had 3 payments left and was late so I lost it and they still put my check through. Because they didn't hook it up right THEY drug my front end all the way down the Street so I told them I don't want it now. I wish I still had it. I love that car and have been trying to get one.You have done a great job with this one! Awesome!
Love it man! When my father passed I unfortunately didn't have the $ to keep my 1989 Conquest TSi with the wider wheels (purchased afterwords). I still miss it, despite all the mechanical hell it put me through. Just never had the $ to spend the money it needed to get right, as the previous owner hadn't treated it well. Well done, great looking car.
Sweet car. Just has that sharp 1980's look. I would see them around when I was a kid and I always liked them. They were almost always that strange greyish color. I would love to have one. Nice.
Went to high school back in the late 80's with a girl (neighbor) who owned one of these. She was awarded a large sum of cash from a malpractice settlement and paid cash for it. I was pretty jealous to be honest. The instrument panel reminded me of knight rider especially at night when it was all lit up. We were driving to school in it one morning right after she had bought it and she clearly underestimated the turbo in the car as she lost control and ended up in a ditch. Good times.
Dam that's fucked up man, then after she wrecked it, you didn't have a cool car to ride to school in your envy and jealousy ended in wishful thinking, messing your shit up i bet you was happy after she wrecked it too.... if you was a true friend you should have warned her about the power of the car being cautious....shiiiid you was one of the lucky ones to ride to school in a car like this back then was every kids dream man my uncle had brought one of these back in the summer of 88' man i remember him taking us to high school football games on Friday nights and when it was time to go home after the game we would walk back to the car and my friends would look in amazement and on Monday morning at school they all would say That's a bad ass Turbo car your uncle got what's the name of that car? i had a lot of fun times and memories riding in his Conquest as a very young teenager then and I've seen my share of Conquests' the model my uncle had was an Si i think as his didn't have skirts on the side but he had the front lip spoiler and the wing in the back and he had a sun roof and on the bottom sides of each door had the "turbo"badge in full size letters metallic silver paint on exterior with burgandy leather interior, a very smooth car, now 28 yrs.later I happen to be blessed to own one of these bad boys I'm restoring one as i speak 1987 Conquest Tsi its in good condition its race red but im changing the color to Pearl black with a Platinum pinstriping down the side, taking care of some mechanical issues now nothing super major.
I think you should put the correct seats in it. That's one of the reasons I only like the 88 and 89. I hated the earlier years interior. To each his own though.
Chrysler was brilliant to import this very good underappreciated sports car. A few friends had em in HS but they couldn't hang w/ Stang GTs or Camaro Z28s.
Everything about that was just right. Transaxle in the back gave it such good balance . Also the Alfa Romero GTV6 and 924-944 had the same layout I wish I had the money for all of them.
Yeah a friend and I painted it. The car will more than likely be up for sale next summer. I have it in storage now but for the right price I will sell it.
What do you mean? This is a common practice in the industry, even to this day. My 2009 Pontiac G8 is actually a Holden from Australia. Lots of the newer Buick's are rebadged Opel's.
Hi I'm writing for Mickey. He owns this car, the royal blue road killer conquest. He would like you to call him to discuss the car please. please direct message me and i will give you furthur contact info. thank you
Chrysler was smart to import this car back in late 80s! Very underappreciated sports car. Had few friends had em in NJ/NY area.
The license plate is awesome!! "HISTORICAL" I wanted one of these sooooo bad....you have a beautifully maintained car.
I just got the same car in same condition but better cause it's has the shp package for 1000$ so beautiful

Oh
What a dream ! 190 horses! 0 to 60 in 9 sec ! Sick look though!
+1 for the Roadkill sticker.
Found a 1986 Road & Track magazine at a thrift store... Saw an ad for this car. How did I not know about this car?
One of my favorite cars ! But a mechanical nightmare !
You wont ever want to own a 3000GT/Stealth either lol
It's what the Dodge Daytona and Charger Shelby SHOULD have been.
wow that thing is clean!
Thanks!
My damn dream car 💦
Awesome, awesome car
Double cheeseburger and chicken McNuggets....
I think you should put the correct seats in it. That's one of the reasons I only like the 88 and 89. I hated the earlier years interior. To each his own though.
These seats were incorrect for the year but came from a car I picked for the black interior. It originally had red interior. The car sold years ago.
Gorgeous.
Roadkill sticker on it. That means he's got a leaf blower in the trunk
1989 Chrysler Conquest TSi.
Chrysler was brilliant to import this very good underappreciated sports car. A few friends had em in HS but they couldn't hang w/ Stang GTs or Camaro Z28s.
wow how much are you selling it for??
You happen to have the MB number on that 3kGT OEM radio, really want to keep my steering controls with out a pac unit... you have a SQC username?
HKS -STARION yes my username is PSiTSi. Message me and I'll see if I can help.
also, where did you get those door handles? :D
Made them by getting the TURBO stickers and clear coating over the handles. Worked perfect!
where have you installed your antenna?
I filled in the antenna hole and installed a window mount one just above the rear view mirror.
awesome idea! thanks for the idea man, how did you fill the hole?
Looks like the 89 is the only one that can have the fogs on without the headlights. My 87 doesn't do it... 😵😣😪😪
I wired the fog lights to turn on with my running lights. Did the same on my current 88 Conquest.
@@rickcurtis721 cutt and splice or...?.. How'd you do it?
@@OG_DSM yes cut and splice. There are write ups on starquestclub.
whats under the hood.
2.6 straight 4 with a Holset HY35 turbo
+Rick Curtis stock?
+Rick Curtis as in the turbo
+Damian Emerson definitely not stock. The turbo is from a cummins diesel.
My uncle was an airplane pilot and a master tech for Nissan. My 89 Conquest has an airplane turbo installed.
All of my loveeee
I miss my so much ;(
Good time to buy one. They're somewhat cheap!
+Rick Curtis like how cheap?
Everything about that was just right. Transaxle in the back gave it such good balance . Also the Alfa Romero GTV6 and 924-944 had the same layout I wish I had the money for all of them.
awesome
