In my opinion the scene with Alfie and Tommy is the best of the entire show. From the acting down to the writing and how the scene was shot is nothing but absolute perfection 👌🏼💯🔥
Add in the "big fucks small" scene
It’s one of the best scenes in TV history.. two of the best actors in the world today at the absolute top of their game.
It's probably my favorite scene in the entire show, everything is perfect. Acting, script, direction, lighting, sound design, everything.
I agree, and past the filmmaking aspects of it just what Alfie is trying to proof about crossing a line is so so good. They play off each other so good.
Hands down! Best scene of the whole show one of the best bits of tv I’ve ever seen.
Alfie calling Tommy out on his hypocrisy would always be one of the best bits ever!
Absolutely.
Cillian Murphy is one of the actors who should have won an Oscar way before he did, so happy he eventually got one, what an actor
For what should he have won an Oscar? (Not hating, I'm just dumb)
@@Prudloboy I'm unsure about him previously deserving an Oscar, but he is an incredible actor. But if for anything, probably 'The Wind that Shakes the Barley'.
Alfie's dialogue about crossing the line is some of the best acting on a TV show ever
That scene with Alfie is absolutely amazing.
The scene between Alfie, Tommy and Michael gives me chills every time. Such acting is so hard to find in TV these days.
Also, I'm glad you guys are loving the series so much. Season 4 is really epic and the villain is such an amazing actor, so you won't be disappointed.
acting? dudes were just shouting in each others faces lol, I guess the bar for acting these days is pretty low
@@accountnew7030 Shame there isn't a quality test for commenting on RUclips videos, eh.
@@accountnew7030 who has better acting than that? I wanna see it any recommendations?
@@accountnew7030 Yeah because some scrub in the youtube comment section knows more 🤣 Sit the fuck down kid.
@@accountnew7030 Get outta here!
Can't understand how people are hating on S3, it's amazing
I didn't know people hated it but I fully understand the hate I'm ngl
Nobody hated bro , i don't know where u saw the hatred
There were, as much on broadcast on the BBC in 2016 as its subsequent bigger audiences, some comment at this one being more confusing, less clear cut.
Really meaning the inclusion of historical events the year it was set, the fallout from the Russian revolution and civil war, the first British Labour government and the panicked response from some like the oddfellows and similar.
It’s not just gang vs gang, even with the previous inclusion of the Irish independence and civil war in the previous seasons.
It’s been in the DNA of the show from the start, from WW1 and the tensions post war, just S3 ramped it up.
@@srivathsonsam406 a lot of comments on clips on yt were negative
It’s good but not as good as 1 and 2, and S4 is the best
The Alfie crosses the line scene is one of the greatest scenes in TV history, I find myself coming back to it from time to time on youtube just to see two of the best actors in the world today at the absolute top of their game. One of the best scenes of the last 20 years up there with the death of Gus Fring.
I completely agree 100%
i prefer "the introduction" scene. with the boxer. but this is a close second
Peaky Blinders, a show basically made of great scenes, but this one stands out. And as good as Cillian is, I dare say Tom Hardy gives him a run for his money on this one.
Honestly, Alfie's screaming at Tommy is probably my favorite scene in the show. Because what Alfie is saying is absolutely true.
Now of course, this whole situation is absolutely sickening. Is the Priest vile? Yes. Is using Tommy's son an absolute bastard move? Sure.
But is Tommy allowed to talk about lines? Hell no. He's killed sons, he's killed fathers, he's killed brothers, and he's ordered the killing of some many more. He is now experiencing a taste of the same panic that he has been readily giving to countless others for years now.
Tommy is a sympathetic character, and an interesting one. But I think too many people make the mistake of thinking he is a decent man. He isn't. He could never be. As disgusting as what is happening to him is, he has inflicted worse upon others, and we still sympathize with him. In that sense, I think this dialogue from Alfie can also be a bit of a reality check for fans that may enjoy Tommy a bit too much.
Tom Hardy deserve a emmy for this incredible monologue
One thing I don’t see many people notice is Tommy didn’t pay Tatiana for helping him grieve his wife but was giving Lizzie the money Tatiana wanted
This finale is crazy perfect for how mad this season was
Easily my favorite episode from this season. Mainly due to the scene with Tommy and Alfie. The acting, script, camera work.. all on point
25:40 I’ve always loved that shot, it’s so beautifully portrayed how Michael’s inner child was basically ripped out of him and now he’s vulnerable but keeping strong. He’s in the fetal position and looks devastated but he keeps calm and covered in shadows while Charlie is sitting there, playing and with his childhood and innocence intact. Radiant beam of light over him to show it too
Alfie did what Tommy would do too was his point, they're both playing the game and in this instance Tommy lost.
The Tommy vs Alfie scene was definitely a highlight in showing how they could be friends if not for the rivalry.
I think that despite everything they are friends though, that's the best part
the alfie and tommy scene was legendary 🔥 and also Tommy going back there to dig a tunnel , was the last thing he ever wanted to do, especially with all the ptsd after the war.. but he didnt hesitate and went back to this “hell” all for his son. thats a fathers love
Im so happy we're up to season 4. For me it is the best season of the series. I can't wait!
Tommy loves his son so much, he willingly and literally faced his ptsd, and speed ran it.
Edit: I love how he fully admitted how he feels about lizzie
Alfie and Tommy scene was the best.
Johnny dog loyal to the bone...no question asked
Paddy Constantine simply blew me away in this season and in HotD.
Love me a hot dog whenever I'm hungry.
The Odd Fellows were some of the most terrifying antagonists in all of Peaky Blinders and I say this having watched the show a million times, and it was Paddy Considine's acting that sold them as such. He made it feel like Tommy was dealing with the Devil himself.
I love the fact that the final scene is such a shock to the audience as well because it's a twist/plot point only configured off-screen and revealed to the characters as well as the viewers at the same time.
Nikki "how many kids does John have?" Me and Steven psychically at the same time.. "17"...you may have heard me chuckling all the way from Scotland...lol. If you are loving Tom Hardy's skills, checkout the first thing I ever seen him in "The Take" its an adaptation of a Martina Cole book and he has gone from strength to strength. Keep up the good work you two "by Order of The Peaky Blinders"!!!! 😉p.s Nikki have you managed to catch Idris in "Luther" yet...oh almost forgot, cant wait for your journey to "Yellowstone" ❤
Arthur has the
Randy Savage Raspy Voice
"OoOoOh Yeeeah!" 😂😂😂
the fourth season for me is the best
Great reaction. A small tangent from the start of the show - when they are at the opening of the children's home and they talk about the Children will no longer need to be sent to the colonies. This refers to an outrageous and tragic part of England's history where they were sending children off to England's colonies to help with population building and labor there. There is a heartbreaking 2 part drama mini series called 'the leaving of liverpool' about this - fair warning, it's a tough tough watch.
Anyway - looking forward to watching season four with you guys - it's one of the coolest seasons of the whole series. The villain in this next one is excellent. Enjoy!
You guys are flying through this show! And I love it!
I can't wait for Nikki & Steven to review season 4, hands down my favorite season!
FYI that Faberge egg is real. It's called the Lily of the Valley egg. Those things must be priceless!
Alfie was the one that told the Odd Fellows. But he truly didnt know about Tommy’s son. He just said he knew because that the life they live.
You see the shock on his face when Tommy tells him they have the boy, he only pretends to know about that part at first as he is pissed at what he sees as Tommys hypocrisy
You guys are seriously just the best reactors - so engaged and entertaining. Thank you for what you do
This watchalong got me to revisit season 3 for the first time and I’m so glad I did. I missed a LOT somehow and mostly remember it for the finale, which is imo the best in the series. The season 3 and 6 finales are 10/10
Get ready, the best season of Peaky Blinders is upon us.
Paddy Considine as Father Hughes is an incredible performance. For an even better one, watch Dead Man's Shoes, utterly brilliant movie. Go in blind though, don't want any spoilers.
You could see in Alfie's face that he didn't know about Tommy's son but as soon as Tommy tried to take moral high ground Alfie lost it and had to remind Tommy that they are same person
Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy were insanely good this episode
the scene with Tommy and Alfie was beyond brilliant
I remember the absolute horror the show presented Tommy's PTST and the tunnels, the people digging through the walls etc.
The conviction he showed diving into that tunnel and then pushing on despite the warnings. Its something easily forgotten, just how much tunnels terrified hin and a great subtle detail.
The Alfie Tommy scene is some of the best acting I’ve ever seen
You crossed the line. I once downladed it in audio so i could listen to it like in the mix with thw songs i liked.
Never skiped it once.
Always gaved me chils just remembering that scene
17:37 one of the best scenes in Television History in my opinion. The acting, the emotions, the tension.... just extraordinary.
Plz guys for your next movie reaction watch "dead mans shoes" quality film its got paddy Constantine who plays the priest
I think you guys need to watch the Tommy/Alfie scene again. I’ve seen it so many times, I don’t remember if I truly grasped its greatness the first time around. It is one of the best scenes in tv/film history.
Everyone always wants to blame Linda! 😂Kate Phillips does an excellent job of making Linda both so unlikable and then so awesomely supportive of poor Arthur. Complex characters all the way through this show.
We get emotionally carried on by the story but actors don't have that. Its insane to me how these actors can just go to work and start performing these brilliant scenes out of no where
I'm so very glad y'all are doing PB and it just gets wilder and so much more sadness... enjoy it all...I'm having a blast watching y'all !!!!!!!
The scene between Alfie and Tommy is one of my favorites. Every scene with Alfie is my favorite, though.. Lol.
oh ive been waiting patiently for your reaction to the alfie+tommy scene!! love the content and looking forward to the rest of it. Sending love from the UK!
Yeah, it’s easy to blame Linda cause she is just a sus character. Alfie is by far the best character in this show outside of the Shelby family. Polly, Arthur and Tommy are my top three of the family.
That alfie scene about a line being crossed is some of the best acting I've ever seen
Watching you guys watch this is great! I’ve binged it several times and it’s so fun to watch someone else enjoy it as much as me and my family did the first time. Any scene with Tommy and alfie is spectacular!
Tom hardy popping off gives me goosebumps
Repeating about 100 comments but that scene is one of the best ever in television. Incredible.
Nikki: “Oh look! A family meeting.”
Me knowing what’s about to happen: 😬😬😬
I've said it before, and I'll say it forever. Best ensemble cast on television.
Still one of my favorite episodes of the show. Especially the "crossed the line" scene is incredible!
The way they showed Tommy's desperation in this episode, by having him go into the tunnels which was very literally his worst nightmare, was brilliant. This finale felt like an entire movie
When Bane & Scarecrow faced off, they created the very best scene. An powerhouse performance that elevated the show above the norm.
Tommy tunnelling is one of my favourite parts of the shows. That’s an “you didn’t even come close”
That's the beauty of the show, we know the PB are bad people but their enemies are so much worse that makes you root for our protagonists
Can’t wait for you guys to get into season 4!
THIS EPISODE IS EVERYTHING. THE BEST EPISODE OF THE BEST SHOW EVER.
Imagine their reaction if at the very end CPS pulls up and Charlie gets yoinked from Tommy again
I am sooo excited for your reaction to season 4 🎉
Loved your reaction as always. You should watch society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing
I’m sooo pumped for your reaction to next season….
Great reaction the next season is unbelievable 👍
Surprised how little you both reacted to the amazing scene with Aflie!
Convo btw Tommy and Alfie - Alfie was right every word! And Tom Hardy owned that scene for good!
Love British and Irish actors they are so good
KEEP UPLOADING PEAKY BLINDERS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Hard to believe but it actually keeps getting better . Seasons 4-5-6 blow everyhing out of the water .
How's THAT for a cliff-hanger!!!!
Season 4 is even better :)
Can't wait for season 4! Best season
My fav episode
When you see Hardy in 'Warrior' and see his physique, imagine that with Alfies attitude!
I forgot that the seasons were so short
Dammit I was gonna go to bed then this popped up!
Tom Hardy carries every scene he's in this show. No disrespect to the other actors in the show but he is just that good.
33:48 I said the same thing when I watched it 😂
imagine having to wait a yr or more for the next episode
Kinda all Michaels fault. If he let those other guys kill father Hughes they call Finn in time and the train doesn't get blown up. Then none of them are arrested besides maybe Polly
I don't think father Hughes companions would just accept being double crossed like that, that's why tommy had to make that deal
The explosion was an accident through timing. It was too much to hide! A deal to sacrifice his family was the only way as his boss ( Churchill ) can let justice be seen to be done but dealt with after!!!
Alfie scene was message from the Show Creator for sure.
The finale is wild.
Thomas Shelby é um cérebro de tudo
This episode is quite the loaded baked potato.
Wow forgot how epic the end of this ep was. Well the whole episode. Show was prob at its best right here though always great.
There is a movie in the making
You didnt think that Father Hughes superiors would just forget about being double crossed? They are lucky they all werent killed
Gang of London es una serie increíble también, espero que algún día lo veáis. Y si me permitís, Alice in Borderland es otra serie que está a otro nivel.
keep your eyes on michael. who does he become? one could say he becomes j cody. next series to watch: animal kingdom. j cody is like tommy shelby only no hesitation in his actions
Guy that plays the priest is same guy as king viserys
Did you guys know the characters John and Michael are real brothers in life? I remember Michael on Animal Kingdom with Ellen Barkin
I hope that in the future you will react to Prison Break and Spartacus.
Spartacus is too sexually explicit for RUclips so after editing they would have like 10-15 min episodes 😂
fair enough.
prison break would be fire
