    The sheer delight the features of this car bring you is EXACTLY what has gotten us to love cars the way we do: Digital Instrument Clusters, actual bells and chimes, and physical keys!

    1,000 for the car = 14,000 as parts for sale.
    Italian parts not made since 93 are very valuable to Allante owners.

    My in laws had a 91 and a 93.
    They drove them both for over twenty years and the 91 had 210 k and the 93 178 k miles with minimal issues.
    Both got cost no object maintenance and were almost pristine when they stopped driving and sold them.

    My parents friend still owns the Allante for well over 22 years and rides superb. Excellent aero dynamic and from time to time, I borrow his car just to go to West Hollywood Farmers Market. Love the ride!!

    This was such a cool video! I just inherited a 1993 Allante in Montana Blue with chrome wheels and the analog gage cluster. Mine has a cracked passenger mirror and needs brakes and tires. The good...only 34000 miles. Such a head turner and a fun car. Can’t wait for the summer months!

      oh nice! Ive seen that color blue and its beautiful. i want of these cars so bad. I inherited my grandparents cadillacs, one was a 93 deville and the other 2000 seville STS. Got rid of the deville and keeping the STS as its a way better car in every way possible. but i So badly wish my grandparents had bought an allante and especially the 93.

    Any car that's neglected and not properly maintained will have issues, especially for a 29 year old car. I've had my 1993 Allante for years and've properly took care of it and have had no issues, so quit making them seem worse than they are.

    I just have a tip for you as someone whos dad has had one of these for awhile and whos had a lot of hands on experience with one (as im the most "mechanically inclined" in the family) since you really like these cars. The electronics are very experimental and prone to failure on these and theres little documentation available so you really need to track someone down who knows how to fix them. We have yet to find anyone theyd have to be someone who worked in a cadillac dealer back in the day id imagine though ours is in pretty good running order we just have an issue with the top and an issue with the fuel gauge kinda not working sometimes

    Do you plan to make more videos.
    I sure would watch them, funny, entertaining, good production quality as in good audio, good video quality, fun camera angles, steady enough footage etc.
    Nice! :)

    That motor is slot better than the crappy northstar

    • @hakeemsd70m
      @hakeemsd70m 5 лет назад +2

      Northstar wasn't crap, especially after 2003, and RH the engine is still the longest running production engine ever for Cadillac.

    • @christopherbuda6592
      @christopherbuda6592 3 года назад +2

      You mean the death star engine, I agree with you and I worked at a Cadillac dealership and I had to work on a lot of those leaky heaps of crap because they would pass them off on the new guy, and when they hired a new guy I did the same thing, I can't stand the northstar design.

    The allante was really a underestimated weird but cool car, I would fix the one you have because you will pay a lot more for one than you would to fix that one, though I like the allante I also really like the Buick Reatta so much so that I bought one, if you get rid of the allante I recommend checking the Reatta out, allante may have Italian design but the Reatta was hand crafted here in America when that meant something. The value is starting to go up on both of the cars, so at least give the Reatta some research, and the Reatta also has the tried and true GM 3800, and they both have the same sleek veneer of the 1980s

  • @BsUJeTs
    @BsUJeTs 4 года назад +1

    It’s actually a beautiful car if it was taken care off. All cars in general are the same. If something breaks you have to fix it and not let it build up. As far as reliability, this car was considered to be special, in a bad way. Just like Range Rover are.

    • @christopherbuda6592
      @christopherbuda6592 3 года назад

      How dare you compare a 1980s piece of artwork to a piece of junk that's second home is the shop. At least the allante is worth fixing as opposed to the modern day "land rover" of today, nowadays all cars look alike and the Prius looks like a computer mouse that messed around with a door stop.

    • @BsUJeTs
      @BsUJeTs 3 года назад

      Christopher Buda I’m not comparing vehicles. I’m talking about the reliability of the vehicles. When you take a beautiful Italian car and put a GM drive train in it, sometimes it takes a long time for the kinks to be worked out. Unfortunately the time expired on this vehicle.

    Its a shame you sold it, in June the Allante repair tour is coming to your state. and from what you said on the video, you have about 3,000 worth of repairs. this is common because owners lets things go till its really undrivable. makes me sick...

    I have an ‘87 with 32,000 original miles on it. It’s a hard top convertible, which I’m sure yours had a hard top too. I’m very disheartened to see in what bad shape yours is in. You seem like such a nice young man, you remind me.of my son. if I was rich I would buy you a nice Allante and send it to Ohio for you to drive

    • @christopherbuda6592
      @christopherbuda6592 3 года назад

      I'd take the Benz, the engine was more reliable and easier to work on, hard to believe that the allante was built to compete with the sl roadster when the Buick reatta convertible had a better look and engine than the allante and it could have competed with the Benz had GM's designer stuffed the same supercharger as the grand national into it to give it the same amount of power as the sl roadster, all in all, the allante just went to prove that an Italian body means nothing when that is the only selling point for the car, you can polish a dog turd all you want but it is still a pile of junk compared to a Mercedes of the same year, at least buick used the reliable 3800 engine in their attempt
