1979 Lincoln Versailles Night Drive
Просмотров 11 тыс.6 лет назад
I take my 1979 Lincoln Versailles for a drive in the night. I do not own any music in the video. Home Again- Oingo Boingo
I bought new a white 1986 Impulse, with the 2.0 non-turbo engine and manual stick transmission, and kept it until about 1992. I drove the hell out of that car. Thanks for the memory!
Did you ever buy another?
I hated my 89 Allantee
This guy gets it
(im talking about headlights) in the 70s we basically had TWO options - a single large round sealed beam unit .. or .. two smaller round sealed beam units ... in the 80s SQUARE sealed beam units ... today, there are a BAZILLION options that cost a small fortune !! ... why?? ....the more money YOU spend = the more money THEY have !!
nobody ever makes cars like this anymore !! ... todays cars are "cookie - cutter - crapmobiles"
That was a very professionally done video
This Cadillac Allante will make you into a mechanic or put you in the poor house.
sick car man
Your a legend in the hood
great vid, you are great at this..
Fitting music for this video.
It was a joke compared to the Seville,a glorified Ford Granada and nothing else, half ass engineering.
I got quite lucky with mine, it's a 88 so not as rare (more made no cd player ect) but got it for $500 only problems are the interior and electrical. got it running yesterday👍 good review.
Sold my 4 years ago for 1.500
Gugaro style
I'm getting ready to purchase a well taken care of Allante. It's red. This one you have was beat down by someone. Great video though young man.😊
I wonder how hard it would be to put in a FWD V8 from like a 2010 Monte Carlo SS would be
Can you show us the turn signal switch? I always wanted to see it working how they spring back to neutral and stuff
What a great car, Versailles never truly appreciated.
This car is AMAZING & you showcased the outside mirror mounted backlit thermometer. Very cool
DUDE!!! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING DRIVING WITHOUT YOUR SEATBELT!!!!!!! 😝jk
That was fun ... and yeah wtf did the 1000 dollar bandit expect!?!? (UNLESSSS u didn't tell him about the top or trans) then I kinda feel him ... but yeah for the most part he should know you get what you pay for. Anyway what did you replace it with? Stay Safe ✌🏽
🤭 when being a cheapskate backfires
Cool car ... did this one have a "Handling By Lotus" ™️ Badge?
The music went well with the feel of the video, I didn't expect to watch it all but did.👍🏾
What do you want for it? Name your price. I had an 83 jr for the longest.
My 2000 marquis has the green instrument lights, ford used that color for years.
Aesthetic
Well done. Very fun video to watch.
Did he say what I think he just said he's what years old he look like he 25
Had one the same color as this one. Great car.
Amazing how it really is a 7/8 scale Town Car. It's even got the bladed front fenders.
Better built, perhaps, but still a better built Granada. Lowest point for Lincoln.
This Allante is sick!Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭🇺🇸💪🏻
You were 16 in this video?
Man do a longer video
CONGRATULATIONS!. YOU LOOKS LIKE A, MOBSTER FROM THE YEAR 1979 WHEN YOUR CAR WAS BRAND NEW!.... NICE VIDEO!..
1,000 for the car = 14,000 as parts for sale. Italian parts not made since 93 are very valuable to Allante owners.
Good natural review 👌 I bought mine two weeks ago for 1100
My dad has this car that his godfather gave him before he died and my dad told me that it would be mine someday
Any car that's neglected and not properly maintained will have issues, especially for a 29 year old car. I've had my 1993 Allante for years and've properly took care of it and have had no issues, so quit making them seem worse than they are.
The allante was really a underestimated weird but cool car, I would fix the one you have because you will pay a lot more for one than you would to fix that one, though I like the allante I also really like the Buick Reatta so much so that I bought one, if you get rid of the allante I recommend checking the Reatta out, allante may have Italian design but the Reatta was hand crafted here in America when that meant something. The value is starting to go up on both of the cars, so at least give the Reatta some research, and the Reatta also has the tried and true GM 3800, and they both have the same sleek veneer of the 1980s
You did it before Doug 😁
I like Doug's vids but he gives amazing cars really horrible scores, and I think that based on this one you can be a better reviewer than him. I have never seen a person who could look at and have the honor of driving a Ferrari and saying that it is under 50% of 100%
I love this car, this video shows it in all his beauty. Hope to have one ...
Francis Aime!... THIS CAR IS A REALLY BEAUTY!.....
You’re a mix of Doug DeMuro and Hoovie rolled up in one
The video title has to be "Shattered dream", i can almost feel you still love the car as you got sad when you sold it, why did you not keep and restore it?
Stunning. I want one.
TODAY!. MANY CAR COLLECTORS!, THEY WANT THIS CARS!.. THIS KIND OF LINCOLNS ARE VERY UNIQUE!, BACK IN THE DAY EVEN NOW IN THIS DAYS!..
It didn't come with both tops?
I bought one, also for $1200 back in 2014. Not long ago, I saw a pair of them, both cars for $1800. There's currently one for sale around here for $1400.
I’m not as big on the Lincoln Versailles as I am on the Continental, but you did an EXCELLENT job on this video and made this Versailles look good!
is the image in your avatar legal in USA? watchout, there's plenty more space in that new gulag where Julian Assange is being held ;)
