D-O speaks English in the movie, dang it, Hasbro! This bothers me.
It really reminds me of the little bird, Woodstock from "The Peanuts" aka "Charlie Brown, Snoopy's pal.
I like him. I prefer remotes, they last forever and you aren't at the mercy of an app no longer being available. Plus things don't tend to work when phone goes to sleep. I am just not a fan of phone as remote personally.

I think this one at $60 is a better value than the $150 one, even though that one is more movie accurate. I've seen a few videos of the $150 falling over easily. Also, it's cute!!
At first glance I was like "ew the training wheels" but when watching Sir James' review of the target exclusive one that doesn't have the training wheels- that falls over if you ever try to turn, I'm realizing this one is the superior D-0

I just picked one up tonight on clearance for $15 that was perfect price.
I think he looks awesome! I'm sure at some point you could catch him on a sale. And I saw him at the parks, so there's always the AP discount! I really loved D-O! My only negative on this toy is that he doesn't talk like he did in the movie.

to turn off the D0, just press n hold the button on it for 2-3 seconds till it make a "sleepy" beep

I’m getting that on Friday 1 because Walmart is closed 2 I’m up very late and 3 I’m inpatient
I think this one is worth $60 however I’m going to follow my past experience and as I waited a year or two to buy my $35 Sphero R2, I am noticing the BB-8 and drop in price as well so I will probably just wait a year or two when D-O is used or selling between 30 and $40. Let’s face it most people buy a Sphero droid, Play with it for a few days and then put it away so you’re almost assured even when you buy a used one that has very little time on its electronics and motors. I like the head and antenna movement of the Hasbro version although I know it doesn’t turn or drive as well. I also like the self-balancing and my house has laminated flooring so it will be fine to drive around in my house. Another great review Dan-O

When the cheap failed one works faster then the 150 one without falling ;)

I came across the D-O RC on clearance at Wal-mart here in Canada for $29, Had to check out a couple reviews before i buy it.
I bought that a few days ago,it has good quality

Just got this for my son for Christmas. Pretty neat toy. I just wish ours was that loud. I can barely hear the droid sounds.
He reminds me of Spy vs. Spy. I have the $150 one. He's pretty cool. Pretty sophisticated tech. Only works on flat surfaces, hard to turn and the app makes him hard to control. He should have come with a physical joystick control instead. He does have two speeds though which is nice and his animations and sounds are very good. A couple of decent games and he plays with his ball. I think Sphero would have done better though. Not sure why they didn't make one. Maybe Hasbro beat them to the license.

I have one of the smaller BB8 remote droids that uses your iPhone as a remote on one of our Disney Cruises for $50 and have a D-0 lamp. May have to get a D-0 droid. May the droids be with you.
Hi Dan-O I bought the same one here in Auckland ,New Zealand, at The Warehouse which is like a Target store there in the US and bought it around US$33 about NZ$ 49.00 but now it went up to NZ$ 69.00, yeah I think your right a bit much for the price.
Hey, I think it's worth noting that we purchased this for Christmas this year and when we tried to play with the Hasbro BB8 droid that we purchased for Christmas last year, the controller operates both droids! So it is impossible to have 2 different people play with each droid in the same room at the same time. Both droids will pick up on the one controller and move only by it, not separately. HUGE design flaw, imo.
I guess that they are like cheap RC cars, they either have a 27MHz or 45MHz frequency crystal. If you are good at electronics you could probly swap the two (rx and tx) from one of the droids to another frequency
I'm kind of bummed that Disney hasn't released a 1:6 scale D-O figure, which would be in proper scale with the Sphero droids. Both the $60 D-O, and the $150 one, are way too large for that...
Except the d0 is closer to real scale
Worth it? Yea, I think so... He's cool.
They should have a build your own d-o toy but this one was cool.
I noticed I could not find a cara dune. I did a ton of research and I think she is coming out in december. This makes me hopeful for more black series...maybe all knights of ren or sith rey as black series.

I bought this droid A long time ago with some birthday money and absolutely loved it for about two days and then it fell over and its head snapped off lol Now in 2022 you can get the more expensive one with more features for $50 and I will probably be going for that mostly for display

I bought one of these D-O droids to add to my Star Wars collection. The one thing that I wasn’t happy about is that I cannot use it with my Hasbro BB-8 unit because they use the same remote control Channel

Don't you'll be disappointed with the 150 dollar one lol after I watched this video I felt stupid for buy a 150 dollar droid that I can't use on carpet lol and falls over... it's cute to look at in the stand but I wanted to drive mine around or at least display it without a need for a big bulky stand etc. I'm getting the 60 dollar one now because this one looks like exactly what I was looking for :)

Yes. Head can get to wobbling hard if going fast and pops off easily. The one in the video looked like the assembly was tighter than mine. Might have to take some superglue or tape to it. :-(

Just bought 2 of these from Walmart today 2-6-2020 for $12.00 bucks each....😁
also while the $150 is more fancier with "auto stable" wheels function ( it can auto stand without aid of training wheels), normally the app feature will stop updating after 2 years or so... and in less than 5 years, the app control will not only stop updating, but probably wont show up on playstore/ app store as well....thus a waste of money by then.

The movie isn’t out yet, so nobody knows exactly what parts D-O will be in. The comes out in December.
For the sake of display how difficult do you think it’d be to remove the training wheels?
They are a pretty hard plastic and it’s always leaning on one of them. It would take a hot blade or breaking them off entirely I think.
Can u do a size comparison to the hero BB-8 from 2018-17 to D-O? Really want to know if he’s proportional to BB-8

Being honest with you Bro the a $100 1 has better weathering comparing to the $60 1 it does more things and it also has a feature in the app that's called hang around so he will do things on his own it also comes with a little ball and you can play games with him or just turn on hang around let him play with his ball like his Playing soccer and to me he does more things and the $60 1 even though it's harder for him Move about because hes like the one in the movie it doesn't have Double wheels only the center one and he has to be and hard Surfaces are he will tip over

I actually lick that this one then I looked at the other 1 and I was like what the Heck I already spend a lot of money on the other droids because I did get battle worn BB8 from sphero As well There R2D2 so I went with the more expensive one because I got it on sale it was only $120 add my local target he was the last one so key will make a great addition for my Expensive droids all I'm missing is BB9E and R2Q2
