The carded and loose rex figures is a big surprise. Definitely a way for some people to get a bit of cash back if they dont collect carded and them being numbered just adds to thay value. Certainly plenty of notes hasbro can take but i think something that really ties Hasbro's hands up is the licensing fees Disney is responsible for. You can see how much they are able to do with GI Joe and Transformers for pretty reasonable prices because they own the properties. Be nice if Disney didnt charge so much for the fees cause we would be able to get alot more for our money if that was the case.
Great unboxing video! I've been fighting tooth and nail to get my hands on this. I got shafted by an error on disney's online store today (many people did). Costed me my chance to have this. Had it in the cart and everything. Star Tours is my most fondest memory with my family growing up and something my wife and I enjoy today as passholders over 30 years later. I really wanted this piece as a homage to my long lasting love for Star Wars and this ride.

I can't imagine they don't, makes no sense to just make only 3000 putting so much work into this. They will probably put out a modern version deco and include c-3po instead of rex and have it be in a window box cause that's usually how they display stuff in the parks when it comes to the vehicle toys
@@Cutelatinguy2 oh I know. I found one at a thrift store for $3.99 was such an amazing find. But I doubt they would put so much effort into a vehicle just to sell it once at a convention. They will definitely put out a different version in the parks they would be stupid not to and obviously offer it on Disney store as well 😜
picked up one of these at d23 last week, the speeder will also be available at the parks next year. some of the other star tours merchandise from the convention has also made its way to the trading post store in dtd
The extra Rex was an amazing bonus! I'm betting that R2 is a Droid Factory figure. EDIT: now that I've finished watching the video, you mentioning the hole on the top of R2's head tells me it is a Droid Factory figure, the hole is for the various hat choices you get when building them. The dome and the legs are interchangeable with the other DF options. Now I'm wondering if Rex comes apart, too (No, no... don't try it!)
A great looking update to the original speeder. Replacing the old slide cards with the video screen and making the flip out guns less fragile is worth it.
@@BRICKSHOWISCOOL Apparently, there are a lot of audio issues with this vehicle. Some people are saying that after about 24 hours the audio completely shuts off. Sometimes, if the battery is getting low, it may not have enough battery to power both the visual and the audio at the same time. To answer your question, mine is pretty loud. It was about as loud as it shows in the latter part of the video.

If you were at the D23 event and had a Inspire Annual Pass you saved $60.00. Video ask if it is worth $300. 100% worth every penny, and to think I almost passed up on it. LOL
