The new Accord is freaking fast. Test drove the 2.0t out for a spin and the wheels chirped all the way to 60MPH with sport mode on. The interior makes you feel like you are in a German saloon. I do highly recommend the bigger wheels option because it makes the car look really good. The smaller rims make the car look like crap. Honda is back from the 90s. Fun cars and good looking.
I actually have the 2018 Accord 2.0 the automatic is so good, Especially coming from a 1.5 civic with a CVT it was just not an enjoyable transmission and the car was not fast enough. The accord is no joke. I call it the Japanese Charger because the Hemi Charger has a 0-60 time very similar to the accord.
honda got rid of all of the manuals in the accord aside from the sport, what a shame and than got rid of the coupe, fortunately they still have the sport manual.
Love the fact that they offer a 6 speed manual. Wish more upscale cars offered a manual. ie the Mazda 6... btw that colour is beautiful on that accord.
only in the sport trim, not lx, ex, exl, hybrid, or touring, that's why it's only 5%. I wonder what percentage it is of touring which is the only place you can get it? I'm guessing at least 50%. Mazda is similar, I think it is only availble on the baze trim and engine, but no other trims and not the 2.5 turbo. Camry, no way jose', they dont even offer a manual on thier supra sports car, but than, neither does honda on any Acura, not even the NSX. It was like a self fulfilling prophecy, take the manual off or have it on on level only and than say it is not selling and than take it all the way off.
Mazda does but only in i trim level, the base. Honda actually eliminated the manual from all trim levels, which is why some are not selling as good, you can only get it in the sport, not the lx-ex-exl-hybrid-or touring anymore if my info is correct, if not feel free to correct.
So I drove one few days ago and INSTANTLY fell in love with it. So much that I am trading in my 2018 Camry SE for it. I'm taking a $2800 bath on the Camry but I did get the 2.0T 6MT down to $27,900 so it's all good - my OTD is $31K USD. I am so excited to pick it up tomorrow, I can't wait to row through the gears myself and have fun with the turbo.
Most likely going to be my next vehicle it checks every box for things I want. Affordable, 4 doors, powerful engine(that is easily tune-able for more power), good looking, good mpgs and most important MANUAL TRANSMISSION!
informative, helpful review. Honda hit home run with the new Accord. personally, I love the styling. also kudos to Honda for keeping the manual!! (nods at Toyota)
Toyota spent all that money completely engineering a new sporty platform for the Camry and increasing the HP but then forgot the most important detail - the manual.
That's why it is so strange the Camry is the runaway sales success between the two. As of today Honda has a 103 day supply of Accords which represents a real glut.
I just got my 2019 Accord Sport 2.0T last weekend (8-30-2019) & I love it!!! I had a 2014 Accord V6 but I love this turbo! This is my 4th Honda since 2000.....I'll be keeping this one with awhile!

That color is gorgeous as well as the fun you get with having the 5 speed. Sales have definitely taken a hit with no V6 and I am guessing Honda brings back that V6 in the next 2 years with a "refresh." I pray that Honda gets the message that Americans love type R models and would make an Accord Type R for the USA as I would jump on one as my dad car in a heart beat!
The front looks amazing. Saw one in person and was blown away. Then it went around a corner and I was like yikes, things a boat!! It's longer than a jeep grand cherokee!!
So I guess that makes the older 9th Gen a boat as well because the new car is shorter. The new fastback look either speaks to you or it doesn't. Car is awesome up close. Reminds me of an Audi S7

What you said at 9:15 mark was funny. But if you have the time please go drive my last 2 cars I had the pleasure of driving. These are old school cars but the new ones of what I had are now some what better but not the M version because it did not have turbos and was a beast. I has a 2010 BMW M3 V8 with 7spd Dual Clutch Transmission which was heaven sent and drove like a dream and sounded like one too. So I loved that mid sized sedan and my other car which I hated because of one thing and that is a 2013 BMW 335i M Sport.... I couldn't stand NOT hearing the V8 roar and push me back in my seat. Sure the 6cyl turbo was nice but the M made such an impression on me, I can never look at other cars the same again. So you may ask, what the hell am I doing looking at an Accord since I had these upscale cars in the past?? Over a decade ago I was a sales person and I sold BMW, Acura, Honda, Toyota, Lexus and Subaru's and I remember Honda just being reliable, durable and fun to drive. My top favorite rides from Honda were 4 cars from the Japanese company which was the Acura NSX, the Integra GSR and Type R and of course the Honda S2000. Honda is stepping up their game as you can tell and I can't spend $45 to $75k on cars anymore. Sure the BMW had Heads Up Display back 5 years ago and it is a fine machine to drive but the Honda Accord is so much cheaper to get and for the money Honda is a good buy. Honda I know is always behind the cutting edge technology but after some other maker makes some invention they take their sweet time and copy that onto their new cars, playing catch up after Mercedes and BMW bring new technology to the forefront only to be copied and implemented to their new cars. Of course Honda is not the only one that copies, Toyota does that and more. It's like Samsung phones copy Apple and Apple always seems to be in court with them for that reason. Anyway, you made a great video and put in some real good points that add value to the minds of people who are considering buying and or leasing this car. Truth is I have not worked at Honda for 11 years but when I did the cars were just selling like hot cakes and for good reason. I hear now that Honda dealerships are begging American Honda Financial to step up and help them sell these cars as the millions of Accords are sitting on dealer lots all across the country due to the lack of incentives that they don't offer like Toyota is constantly doing to move units. Sitting in a parking lot over 100 days or more costs the dealers a lot of money each day they are on the property. Toyota may not be at the top of this segment as you suggested and I agree with that, but people find Honda to be ugly, and the noise levels bother many people and have for decades due to road noise from the tires, window sills, doors jams and insulation or lack there of. I know Toyota and Lexus make smoother rides than Honda and Acura does, but I also know that a driver who wants more input and feedback from the car they drive ( A true driver who gives a shit about how their car takes corners at higher speeds without losing control ) will love a Honda any day over a Toyota or even a Mazda.. Honda has so much to offer and for the buck it is a great choice for those who know better and the money doesn't seem to nudge them one way or the other. But when I sold cars 11 years ago, I swear people would say to me the following not just to me but other sales people as well said the samel; "Well the Toyota is so much more smoother and the road, noise levels is better on the Camry, Corolla etc. I like the Honda BUT Toyota has 0.0% or 0.9% financing or better leases than Honda does so I think it's in my best interest to go with Toyota. Many people just don't care about the gadgets when It comes down to monthly payments they have to face for 3 to 7 years depending on wha they choose to do. In training classes the managers would always tell us not to be order takers and sell the cars but little did the knuckle heads know that Honda sells themselves but many people are on a budget and can't afford to pay $2,999.00 down and $349 plus tax, lic and reg PLUS full coverage auto insurance on the number 1 stolen car in America. Toyota too is stolen very often and insurance rates are based upon where you live but also how many people steal cars for parts and many people tend to steal Honda more than any other make. Toyota leases are always LESS MONEY DOWN and LESS PER MONTH and many people don't know this but TOYOTA Financial will buy people who have bad credit or who have filed for bankruptcy in the last 3 to 5 years where at Honda that is an automatic go bleep yourself you are turned down because we won't finance or lease to people who filed BK. I lost many deals for that reason alone, Honda does not make exceptions unless you have 50%down or more which is insane. I know I said a lot here today and perhaps way to much than I should have. I felt like I wanted to touch points where I know people will make a decision one way or the other due to emotions, payments and affordability, looks, style, comfort and once you are on one team it's hard to switch to another. And I refer to Apple and Android again.....Sure people go from Apple to Samsung or Sony, LG etc, but the switch is hard and people do want the Honda Accord but Toyota places a beautiful shiny carrot in front of people's faces and if you're not paying in cash you tend to pay attention to the money and money moves people but Honda doesn't seem to care because of their pride in their products. I apologize for writing too much, too long and people may hate me for it but I had to put everything out on the table for others to consider, sorry for the long post/reply.
For all of those singles and retirees who only need a two door fwd coupe, no one makes one in the usa, aside from the controverally design Honda civic coupe. Talk about a HUGE OPPORTUNITY to exploit by automakers.
This accord seems awesome but its even better because Miles Branman reviewed it. Didn’t know this guy existed until a couple minutes ago and I’ve been watching CNET and a bunch other shows for a long while (wrote off autobytle a while back). Great reviews, will definitely follow and would love to hear what he has to say on any car.. subscribed
I think Honda is back to their old way of doing things. It looks ugly to some because it is different then other cars on the road. They have created their own look. I guarantee it will grow on everyone just like the cars they made in the past.
Every sedan in Honda's line up is a based off the super successful 10th generation Civic. Imho, the 9th generation Accord was the best looking.. was also underpowered from factory/made as much power as the Civic Si but with more torque. I think the Insight looks better because it doesn't have the wannabe 2012 Camry tail lights.. I've seen it in person it doesn't look as bad and it keeps growing on me but the looks of it smh. Everything else about from new stiffer chassis, engines, and interior for both 10th generation Civic and Accord is better.. just the exterior look is almost the same.
For the higher version of the Sport they don't give an auto dimming rearview mirror. For 2018 that's expected. The 9th generation EXL has it and if they expect coupe customers to go over to the 2.0T sedan they should at least offer some of the same features. Also no Homelink garage opener. Not as much of a big deal but with no V6 and coupe they should at least offer these options in the 2.0T Sport.
I bought a 2018 Honda Accord sport 1.5 Turbo it's my 1st ever accord and I Love it it's the greatest car I ever owned and I owned an Mercedes before this
Deal breaker for me is the manual 2.0 only comes as the stripper version. The touring 2.0 is very value packed with its long list of features esp HUD but is auto only. The manual is also noticeabley slower than the auto due to less efficient gear ratios and turbo spool dropoff, but i could live with that. Wont settle for civic level features though.
I like you, you're well spoken and agree with your opinions. I gotta say though, what's up with the rolled pants? Higher almost than your ankle socks... then I noticed the vneck. I'm just old I guess. 32 I suppose is when I've noticed I'm not in style anymore. I need to lose some weight and get in touch with current fashion. Anyway, good video man.
I seen that video but it's only faster from a dig. On a rolling start, the Accord V6 leave the 2.0T behind. Not sure if that's the video you've seen. Looks is personal preference but I like the older version better.
Thank you so much for this video!! I just bought the exact car color and all 3 days ago and I'm loving it!!!! I was going to buy the si coupe and decided to go with the accord 6 speed sport and I'm so glad I did!!!🎉🎉🎉 It's a FUN car to drive.
I would love to put this technology in my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe. I’m sorry but I just love my Coupe and it screams sports. So I’m going to stick with my Accord Coupe.
I love the blue on this Accord. My girl has a Camry XSE, and its not a bad car at all. The Accord is better in so many ways, AND cheaper to boot. Hell, my friend is the finance guy at a Toyota dealership, and I would STILL rather the Honda over the Toyota. Really interested to see how 2019 shakes out.
Jon McClane, you want one with the 5 spd 2.0T in black and has under 20K on it. I can tell you where you can get your hand on it for under $15,000 if you're willing to fly there. The only bad news is, it has a rebuilt title which it had an accident to the rear of the vehicle. All repaired were done and ready to roll. I want one but I want the automatic so my spouse can drive to some time; therefore, she won't let me buy it. Let me know if you're interested as it just available as of today 7/18/2020.
@@jonmcclane7433 I though you wanted the 2018 Accord V6 Manual in Black? I have been looking for 2 years and this one is a great deal even with rebuilt title. Most of them with auto and still going for over 18K for a 2.0T and rebuilt title.
the front could of been a winner if they let the hood curve over having a gap line running across the front is a no go and makes the car look like it has a 5 head.
I've got a 2014 V6 Honda Accord and love it. great review! and i really like this journalist too. definitely good information but wasnt boring where i didnt want to pay attention anymore. great job.
For the 2021 accord, honda should include the adjustable ride from the touring model, a sport exhaust, and the limited slip diff from the type R. They can call it the Accord Type R.
I have the 2.0T 6MT and it's by far the best bang for the buck you can get. Big, comfy, fast, reliable, luxurious, great MPG, what else can you want...
Nice video, honest review Thanks! Like this Honda accord i did check it my self exterior front is nice, back its ok not big fan of tail lights, interior feel premium and lots of room front and back I'm very impressed. Good job Honda! Coming from infiniti. Thanks!
It's bewildering to me how good the new infotainment is compared to the previous ones. And to make things more strange is that the newest Acura NSX, you know, that $150k supercar, doesn't have this infotainment, still the old and laggy one from before.
Fabian Alvarado I’m from the U.K. now live in US. I’m getting this car tomorrow. They don’t know how good they have it here. It won’t be released in the U.K.
Problem is, lease rates are absolutly awful, it's actually much more expensive than Camry if you want to lease it. And the styling is ... let's say polarizing. In my experience most people say it's ugly.
If Honda is going to make it look like a Sport back would be nice to actually open up as a hatch for some real utility like for example the Audi A5 sportback.
Great fog as always I am getting ready to purchase a Honda Accord 2.0 10-speed automatic. Thanks to your very informative blog I test drove the xse Camry the Mazda 6 look at the Hyundai but it's a Korean product so I looked around after hours and just walk away wasn't interested and I will never buy any Nissan product with a CVT transmission that being said the Honda Accord handle outperforming outbreaks all of this competition at is $5,000 cheaper for the top-of-the-line touring then the xse Camry which the one I wanted was right at $40,000. It was between the Honda and the Camry. But the Toyota infotainment system is pure rubbish! And you can definitely feel the v6 extra weight around corners and Honda has a lot better aftermarket support versus the Toyota and Mazda and Hyundai. Meaning Honda has k-pro hondata 27: one plr Etc it is a lot easier to make a Honda go fast then it is a Toyota!
honda sport cars dont bring in $$$$$$$ when they make the type rs is for a look at we can do thing not really $$$$ that new type r at almost 50k how many of they do you think are they going to sell at 45 50k for a fwd civic lol maybe 500 worldwide the accord 31,500 state side
Um, not longer actually shorter (wheelbase is longer). No V6 bruh. The wheels are like ninja stars, I like that description better. Thank God a person that doesn't slag the rear-end. This car is great value for money. Hondata tune this and hello 290hp/373lb/ft trq . This car makes the 9th gen even more vanilla than it already is. The handling is spritely . The steering is surprisingly dialed in and the suspension is clearly stiffer than the yawn inducing 9th gen. Stop watching video's and go drive one and then talk. Hate on internet .
Just got the same exact blue car. Can't wait to Hondata tune mine. You're so right Kakihara Tempura, you all need to drive this car. It's so well balanced, and the engine pulls great, feels more luxurious than some Acura models. Only 2-3 more blue 2.O MT in the state of California. Good luck getting one. lol
What is the difference in this engine compared to the Civic Type R engine that it has only 252hp instead of 306hp. Is it just tuned that way or is there something different about it?
I have no idea why there are so many 10th gen accord’s design haters. They designed their personal recognizeble style. It was a blast on new Civic which sells much better than its compettetors. Of course they applied that design on bigger and more premium Accord. And the most important here is the fact that at the moment i can see a lot more newer gen Accord on the streets then complimented super duper Mazda 6 which is absolutely doesen’t match to new Accord in any way and finally!!! “NON granny’s Camry”😂. So where are your Mazda 6 and Camry? This way i’m convinced that all the hate concearning to the new Accord’s design comes mostly from either Mazda/ 👵🏼Toyota fans or the people who never seen/drove that car in real life. By the way my first impression concearning to design was controversial as well but it last untill i had i chance to take a look & test drive it in real. Don’t worry Mazda/ Toyota fans. You all drive good cars. But Honda is just better😂
Trying to keep my current vehicle until the wheels fall off, but if I ever see a press release from Honda that they’re killing the manual I will be in a dealer showroom to buy one before they go away
if i wasnt a truck driver for living i would so get the manual accord great car no cvt manual box sweet but instead i got the camry now ! I woulnt wanna shift my own car in traffic after all days trucking
The rear of the car looks pretty good really, it's the goofy as shit front, especially on the non sport where the unibrow is chrome that bothers me. Saw one all blacked out and it really helped.
This car blows my 2016 Malibu out of the universe. I can’t wait to trade it in and buy a Honda, any Honda at this point. Love the Honda’s! American cars suck and always are cheaply built. Japanese knows quality and still can mass produce.
M Green. Honda cars are made in the USA so it's an American cars you know. LOL On a side note, they aren't as reliable as they used to be when it was made in Japan.
Does it have a real spare tire or did they use fixaflat to boost cargo capacity numbers like on the civic. Of course now they will charge you hundreds to get that use to be free spare back and it will take down cargo capacity maybe? almost like deleting the headphone jack to get you to buy wireless headphones.
Honda really fucked up a good thing by going with this new design. They had the last model dialed in and then they went and made it ugly with a smaller engine. At least they kept a manual option, so there's that.
The new Accord is freaking fast. Test drove the 2.0t out for a spin and the wheels chirped all the way to 60MPH with sport mode on. The interior makes you feel like you are in a German saloon.

Such a sick car aside from the tail lights. Front end is the nicest I've seen of all Accord gens.
They'd rather sell old folks CUVs
this is fucking gorgeous. It looks better than those Audis and current gen BMW.. It really does
This accord seems awesome but its even better because Miles Branman reviewed it.
Waseem Sells I hated the rear until I saw the car in person. It looks fantastic!
I wil admit this new version looks amazing in this blue
It looks much much nicer in person
Camry or Accord, you can always shine together- Roman Pierce
History has it, this dude is a legend in car details 😂😂
I absolutely love my 2019 1.5t Sport!
Really nice body style. And the engine setup is sick too. Honda did great with this accord
That color is awesome in this car. That is the exact trim and color I want when I get into the market next year.
I bought a 2018 Honda Accord sport 1.5 Turbo it's my 1st ever accord and I Love it it's the greatest car I ever owned and I owned an Mercedes before this
Mercedes C300
The seinfeld analogy was so dope I had to replay it over and over hahaha
Blue-check. Turbo'd engine-check. Manual trans-check. I'll take it! Good review, thanks!
Yes Honda! Let’s go!!
The new 2019 Insight took the Accord and Civic looks and made them much better looking.
There are drag races on youtube, accord v6 vs this 2.0 Turbo. 2.0 Turbo is faster 0-60.
That intro though. I like this guy.
I would love to put this technology in my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe. I’m sorry but I just love my Coupe and it screams sports. So I’m going to stick with my Accord Coupe.
David Hunt I think Prelude coming back soon...... That's why no more Accord Coupe.
That would be awesome.
Keep it brother, the accord v6 coupe, especially standard, is very hard almost impossible to find where I live. It also holds its value extremely well
I just brought a 2020 1.5 sport in that exact same color & I absolutely love it !!
I love my 9th Gen Accord, but man I want this one in Black with a 6 speed.
Tous Shong no thanks, my 2014 will have to work for now.
It's nice when I am on the entrance ramp getting on a highway and I can easily merge with traffic, and if someone is giving me a hard time to get on the highway...... I just blow his doors off and leave him in the dust. I didn't need his puny little spot anyway.
It, not a plastic piece that looks like metal, it a chrome strip that is not plastic lol! Everything else is great
This is the first grocery getter the I genuinely love
great review! and i really like this journalist too. definitely good information but wasnt boring where i didnt want to pay attention anymore. great job.
Thanks for doing the manual because I want it and it has a different center console than the cvt and the auto
For the 2021 accord, honda should include the adjustable ride from the touring model, a sport exhaust, and the limited slip diff from the type R. They can call it the Accord Type R.
I have 2019 sport 1.5T manual in this color hard to find 2.0T in manual. I love this car
I have the 2.0T 6MT and it's by far the best bang for the buck you can get. Big, comfy, fast, reliable, luxurious, great MPG, what else can you want...
How’s your real world fuel economy been?
I love Honda, they're the best
Serge Whatever yes
One of the most expensive with the Camry V6. Malibu 2.0T can be had for $22K and a better driver along with being quicker.
Norm T - yea, but is a Chevy.
J Pizel I wouldn't be.caugjt dead in this Accord. They are just based on economy cars
Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda....all good. No American cars. Won't last 10+ years
Cant wait for the refresh when they change the back end.
Nice video, honest review Thanks!
Like this Honda accord i did check it my self exterior front is nice, back its ok not big fan of tail lights, interior feel premium and lots of room front and back I'm very impressed. Good job Honda!
Coming from infiniti. Thanks!
If you were a car salesmen I’d buy it right now excellent marketing 💯
So,you're saying this Honda is like the Seinfeld reunion on "Curb Your Enthusiasm"?
I however am a huge fan of this dude's rear, damn no joke...
All cars should be manual if my vision wasbetter i would buy this today
It's bewildering to me how good the new infotainment is compared to the previous ones. And to make things more strange is that the newest Acura NSX, you know, that $150k supercar, doesn't have this infotainment, still the old and laggy one from before.
Great review. People in US please buy it and enjoy it, as we in the 3rd world cannot have it u_U (because it is not available in our region)
Fabian Alvarado I’m from the U.K. now live in US. I’m getting this car tomorrow. They don’t know how good they have it here. It won’t be released in the U.K.
Does the seat not move back? Why are your knees almost inside the gauge cluster?
I have the same version in the 2020, and all the above still true!
Looks like I'm trading my 2018 honda civic for the accord
Best Honda accord models from 2008 until 2012
Of course that's very subjective. 2013-2017 9th gen. Also the V6 was tweaked some and a bit more hp. Not saying 8th gen is bad looking.
I love this car. It looks great in the real, especially with the optional darker grille. And this guy is cute.
Please can honda release another accord TYPE R !!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE DO HONDA!
Good review man I thoroughly enjoyed that
Great review. Definitely subscribing!
Thank you!
Liked the last generation better. Honda just needs another sport car and stop making these cars look sporty.
honda sport cars dont bring in $$$$$$$ when they make the type rs is for a look at we can do thing not really $$$$ that new type r at almost 50k how many of they do you think are they going to sell at 45 50k for a fwd civic lol maybe 500 worldwide the accord 31,500 state side
Brandon Viera um the Type r is 32k....
What drives and performs better, this Accord or the new Mazda 6 Turbo?
Oh hey, Seapoint in HB!
Great review!
Many manual rivals for the Accord?
Good luck getting one. lol
Just got ceramic tint done. Awesome!
Malibu 2.0T has been doing 370 lb-ft of ecu tuned torque since 2013 or so. Nice to see Honda finally catching up.
Yeah but you ain't gonna find any blue-hairs tuning a Malibu anytime soon. Can you even get a 'Bu with 3 pedals ?
Kakihara Tempura Hardly blue hairs. "Malibu owners are slightly older, too, at 55 years of age, compared with 54 years for the segment."
When he said “ Big Ole 19inch machined wheels”, he sounded like a pornstar tapping that bubble butt 1:12
Trying to keep my current vehicle until the wheels fall off, but if I ever see a press release from Honda that they’re killing the manual I will be in a dealer showroom to buy one before they go away
how did you get the sport trim with leather seats? when I build a 2.0t sport on Hondas website, it only has the option for cloth
my only reservation is that rear end.
Guys should I get a 2018 Civic Hatchback sport touring or the 18 Accord Sport 1.5T?
Lots of people like their mid size sedan
if i wasnt a truck driver for living i would so get the manual accord great car no cvt manual box sweet but instead i got the camry now ! I woulnt wanna shift my own car in traffic after all days trucking
Does this come with a limited slip diff? With that much torque on tap I hope so.
Lol I just brought a brand new 19 1.5t and yeah its definitely faster than my wifes 2018 Malibu 1.5 turbo! Love it!
M Green. Honda cars are made in the USA so it's an American cars you know. LOL On a side note, they aren't as reliable as they used to be when it was made in Japan.
LOVE my 2019 2.0T Sport. Only thing I don't agree with you on is the seats. They are NOT comfy. Rock hard.
Tigerex966 has a spare tire.
Will Honda consider making an R-Type or Spec A Accord? Like BMW's M or Audi's S lines.
i want this car so bad
Honda really fucked up a good thing by going with this new design. They had the last model dialed in and then they went and made it ugly with a smaller engine. At least they kept a manual option, so there's that.
