I’ve had this car for almost a year now (same trim) and I still enjoy the little things you pointed out. It’s very dynamic and an overall fun car to drive.
Each time I see a Honda Accord passing by I always ask myself that I want to get one in either red or black. I am in love with their wheels and the style also
I bought my '20 Accord Touring 2.0T almost a year and a half ago and I could not be more pleased! This car is awesome and so much fun to drive. The engine is potent and pulls hard. The ride is great. The handling is superb. I am smitten! Drove nothing but V6 Honda/Acura products since 2002 and was very skeptical about going back to a 4 cylinder but all of my concerns have been erased. I love my Accord Touring and would highly recommend it to anyone considering it.
I’m confused as to why so many of you are here to bash the Accord. If you don’t like it, why are you watching the video? All reviews on the Accord have been positive because this is the best Accord Honda has built.
After owning my Accord 2L Touring for a year now I can pretty much agree with the review. Cons: transmission shifts too much from the start ,it's inconvenient not to be able to open the back doors hands free, must either open the front doors with touch or use the remote and the ride IS a bit noisy. Only 3 cons is pretty good. The safety features as well as the occasional hands free driving are great. Safety has already saved me from a couple of potential bad incidents, and, on long drives, I"ve gone as much as 5-6 miles without any personal control of the vehicle and it's worked great. Heads up display is a big plus. My last 5 vehicles were Lexus ES which I was getting tired of so I tried the Accord. No, it's not a Lexus but I've been very happy with the Accord as a change of pace.
Thanks so much for your opinion. I am trying to decide between a 2017 Lexus RX350 or this..and because active safety features are so important to me due to reckless drivers all around me..I think this vehicle is right for me. I just hope it has a soft enough ride as the roads in my area are terrible and I have a bad back. I heard the seats are very soft and cushioned so that should help my back too.
Fun to see you driving local roads! Nice review. I am pulling back from luxury vehicles and I'm glad to see Honda is doing so well, especially when Nissan has fallen so far.
This is coming from a VERY happy 2018 2.0t ex-l owner. This car is absolutely hands down amazing. The speed is incredible and I easily chose it over an eco boost mustang premium and Camry xse. Interior and exterior are fantastic. The front grill does look a little chinsy but only in certain lights. The old accord is conservative and boring af. I am SO glad they did something bold and remade a very old conservative car into a sporty fun luxurious master piece. In the city on the highway doesn’t matter hit the sport button and let the 10 speed auto do the rest.IT EVEN HAS MORE TECH THAN AN AUDI A4 AND IS FASTER. people will always be resistant to change at first but once they wake up and realize accord has to be rebranded to compete with what the Korean carmakers are doing these days they will see it for the master piece that it is!! Love this car !!!

I just purchased this vehicle, and I love it 😍 the performance, the luxury, the way this car handles the road, along with all of the intricacies included makes Honda a fierce force to be reckoned with!!❤️
The Honda Accord is definitely gonna be my first car, and I'm getting the Touring. It's not so much the fact that it's a hybrid, but it has wireless phone charging.
2014 Accord V6 owner here. V6 has great fuel economy thanks to cylinder deactivation. Have an average of 30 combined. Not to mention it doesn’t rev like a hairdryer. :P
Actually, it is 2 less. Mine is rated 34 mpg on the highway vs 32 for the new one. Turbo fours can be very efficient, but they can suck a lot of gas when the turbo is spooling. Also, pretty sure those massive wheels ding fuel economy. Mine are small and skinny. Cheapy Honda.
My 17's probably do with that fan look. But the new wheels are still 235 wide while mine are 215. You lose at least 1 mpg from the extra rolling resistance, though my car would handle much better with 235's.
Love this video great job. I current lease a 2016 bmw 528i xDrive and next August when my 3 years is up I'll be going into a accord touring 2.0t for sure!
AJ Lee absolutely I test drove this model with brown leather seats and white exterior and absolutely fell in love. I am still considering the Acura TLX A-Spec but this accord has so much with only a 36K price tag it's really hard to turn down.
Kyle Owen oh i do make my own decisions. and btw hondas are no longer as reliable as you think they are go check out complaints online youll be astonished at what honda hides from the public about their autos. constant squeaks in the interiors. the engines rattle severly after putting on many miles. honestly youre probably better off keeping your BMW. i owned a 2015 Accord touring. i can attest hondas designs and quality are horrific nowadays. its scary where these designs are going😬😬😬
I have one and can easily get 38 mpg on the highway. It has plenty of power but I always want more. Hondata sells an interface that using your laptop allows you to tweek the tune to bring performance numbers much closer to the Type-R Civic. Also, when I came out of the carwash the other day the kid drying the car said at first he thought it was a Lexus.
Econ has nothing to do with the suspension. Econ adjust the throttle, transmission, climate control and cruise control to get better gas mileage while cruising at highway speeds. I am a multi Accord owner and own the exact vehicle you are driving.
Tried the Honda. Tried the Toyota. Bought a Ford Fusion 2.0l Titanium awd. Interior quality is just as good. Exterior styling is much better. Electronics are equal. Zero to 60, the same. But the Fusion outdid them all in ride comfort, noise abatement and handling. An enjoyable car to drive each day.
A lot of manual transmission fan boys out there... one reason to support this car it’s one of the last sedans offered with one, so keep supporting Honda if you want to see it stay around
*Thoughts on 2018 Honda Accord (Design):* Let me start off by saying that there are several elements where I think the designers did a pretty good job at. First and foremost, the interior design looks nice as a simple yet pretty functional layout. A little bland on minor occasions, but still nice as it is. Additionally, I can't deny that the work they've done with most of the materials and fit-and-finish is quite rewarding. Coming out with simple creative ideas that all-in-all gives it a modern vibe to it. ..but then, there comes the new Accord's elephant in the room.... the exterior proportions, and the whole exterior design.... ...ohhh my-..... ahh god, my.... dude... I-... I think JonTron said it best here: ["Oh.... OH, a-are you serious? Is that something where someone who calls himself a professional artist/designer actually made and handed to their boss and the boss went: "Yeah that looks good, do that."......?????"] My lord, where the hell do I even begin with this? Well, I guess I can start off with the exterior design, as the whole exterior looks like it was entirely done by a brain-damaged chimpanzee! In any other exterior vehicle design, an actual vehicle designer who has the credibility to do his job, would create something that looks pretty realistic, yet also artistic at the same time. Making something that looks believable, well-proportioned, elegant, but also something that belongs in its own world, without looking too plain-jane, which was in fact something where the previous-generation Accord already did so well at. Several sedans I can think of right now with a fastback design like the all-new Toyota Avalon and Volkswagen Arteon accomplished that really well. THIS however, looks like something they want to make in order to get fired from their job! I can assure you that NO professional designer would ever look at this, and think that this is even in the slightest bit acceptable! Let alone for a sedan with a fastback bodystyle! Even you, the person who is listening to this right now, can create a design that looks much more professional than this mess! And if the exterior design wasn't enough, its exterior proportions are the ultimate piles of salt to an open wound. It tries WAY TOO hard to look so sleek, so dynamic, so elegant, so edgy, and so dramatic, and so tasteful, just to get the audience's reactions that it crosses the line, and it's not at all funny anymore! It's, simply put, just sad, desperate, disgusting, and it's only appealing to those in the lowest common denominator. You can tell when a design looks so horrific, that you have to not even give it a tiny glimpse or peek in order to look at it. Seriously, this is something I expect to see from Pontiac as a sedan version to the Aztek! Not a large and rich automotive industry like Honda! EVEN Toyota with the latest Prius, and Nissan with the latest Maxima, both did a better job than this! Like I said, there are a few good things about the new Accord's design, such as the interior... but what they did to the exterior is why I think the designers should seriously consider an immediate career change. *Overall Design Score:* 3/10

There's already data on adaptive cruise control and lane keep. They have no discernable safety impact. Automatic breaking has a massive positive safety effect though.
The front sensors are picking up the rear sensors of the car in front of you. I have the same car and finally figured out what was going on. Doesn't happen a lot but it's definitely annoying. Hopefully Honda can fix this.
That's actually an interesting theory. Funny thing - during my test drive, the parking sensors went off twice in light traffic for no apparent reason. In almost a year of actually owning one, it's never happened.

Love every single thing about this car, but I have to go with the manual not that the 10speed ain't good enough I like the 10speed but I like to feel more connected with my cars great review by the way.
Decent review, but he did say some things which weren't totally accurate. He said the mpg has increased with the Turbo and that's not true. For example, they rated the V-6 at 34 mph hwy. I was hoping he would comment on the transmission. I have a 2018 Toyota Camry XLE V-6 and I really like it overall, but after a year I still get frustrated with the transmission having some real flat spots. I went from a 2015 Camry V-6 with a very smooth 6-speed to the 10 speed, which the Accord has also. I guess I will have to find out for myself to know for sure. My guess is that the Accord shifts more smoothly than the Camry. As the weather warms up I'll have to go to a dealer and take one for a ride. Now that my Camry is over a year old, they won't tell me to get lost and think I am just wasting their time. When I went to the Honda Dealer about a year and a half ago, the redesigned 2018 Accords weren't coming out for some months so I bought the Camry.
I used True Car for my Accord Sport 2.0. Paid $26500 after I put $1000 down. You can get crazy good deals on these cars. Do some research before walking into a dealer.

Wade H dealerships are over stocked with accords. A few dealers in South Carolina have over 480 in stock on the LOT!! Honda is desperate to get rid of them now. The 2019 is coming soon with that many 2018's on the lot they have to do something to make them move faster. The deals their giving on these ugly cars are insane. You could get a 2.0 around 28k -29k before taxes 😂😂😂
At $29k, that's barely $1,000 off. Typical Honda incentive. I have to wonder if SC has an extreme amount of HR-V's that aren't selling like here in Colorado, or does SC enjoy underpowered beans lol

TonyQuaz those wheels remind me of swasticas
Wheels are noticed everytime you see it in the parking lot... remove the chrome bar and put the black grile
Thank you for sharing the Honda Accord 2.0T 2018 i love it. Honda here i come.
I can't find a single thing I like about this new Accord, especially not getting a body style choice
I miss the V6 Accord. I have a 2013 V6, EX-L and the thing has 163,000 miles and still quick as ever.
It's not so much the fact that it's a hybrid, but it has wireless phone charging.
who gets the top trim for their first car...get the sport or if you want to splurge, get the EX
As a driver of the last series accord gen in the UK, we desperately need this over here.
2014 Accord V6 owner here. V6 has great fuel economy thanks to cylinder deactivation. Have an average of 30 combined. Not to mention it doesn’t rev like a hairdryer. :P
Aurummorituri yup the 2.0T only offers 1 mpg better on the highway
Actually, it is 2 less. Mine is rated 34 mpg on the highway vs 32 for the new one. Turbo fours can be very efficient, but they can suck a lot of gas when the turbo is spooling. Also, pretty sure those massive wheels ding fuel economy. Mine are small and skinny. Cheapy Honda.
Aurummorituri the wheels on the touring are said to be light in weight and has some aerodynamic tech going on with it
My 17's probably do with that fan look. But the new wheels are still 235 wide while mine are 215. You lose at least 1 mpg from the extra rolling resistance, though my car would handle much better with 235's.
Nobody buys a honda for its exhaust note. Trust me your v6 accord sounds like shit also 😂😂😂
Ummm , when you dump down to the Sport 2.0t you DO get a sunroof, rear vents, partial leather seats and heated seats
The presenter is very well equipped with knowledge and preparation
these things look good, even better in person! blue with black rims looks very expensive
My brother has a 2.0 sport definitely a sleeper love driving that thing its very quick
Love this video great job.
I current lease a 2016 bmw 528i xDrive and next August when my 3 years is up I'll be going into a accord touring 2.0t for sure!
Kyle Owen youll be made fun of when people see you in this hideous honda
Hey I’m thinking of doing the same! I have a 2017 BMW 4 series convertible lease. I’m ready to trade out and the Accord just makes so much sense.
Un Carrier T-Mobile USA good thing I do what makes me happy instead of caring what others think. You should try living your life the same.
Hondata just designed a stage 2 tune for this car just over 300 horsepower and 377 foot pounds of torque! Now that's impressive dude
im so exited im getting one next week
It's really beautiful to watch this. Wish I can get this now
When you have a honda accord 2003 3.0L V6, this car is like a dream.
I have the 2003 Accord with the 3.5 V6. Runs so smooth still....185k miles
3:00 that is not wood trim. it is plastic made to look like wood
Honda accord ,I love the antique just from my childhood at the age of just ten back to the year 1990
i didnt get confused for an audi or bmw...
Beautiful car!! I am surprised with the negative comments, would you rather a plain boring design?? Finally somthing exciting for a bargain price.
Honda Cars are great vehicles some of you people here are just hating. I love my Honda Accord.
Thanks for a real world demo of Honda Sensing. Others just kind of talked about it.
Econ has nothing to do with the suspension. Econ adjust the throttle, transmission, climate control and cruise control to get better gas mileage while cruising at highway speeds. I am a multi Accord owner and own the exact vehicle you are driving.
I owned it for two years and regret selling. It's a great car and fully loaded!!
The Fusion is great, too bad it’s getting killed off. How did the price come out? They can get expensive with options.
This sounds more like you’re getting sponsored by Honda to promote this car
Fantastic simply fantastic review which precisely done a comparison as well 👍👍
A well done review 👍
The Honda Accord 2.0T Sport has a moonroof. The 1.5T does not. But I wonder, can you get them with navigation?
No, but there's Carplay and Android Auto.
Navigation is an option on the EX-L, standard on the Touring.
Nice, informative & vibrant video presentation.
A lot of manual transmission fan boys out there... one reason to support this car it’s one of the last sedans offered with one, so keep supporting Honda if you want to see it stay around
The 2.0T in the accord is the K20C4 engine, it is not "borrowed" from the type R (Which is the K20C1 engine). Same size, but different engines.
*Thoughts on 2018 Honda Accord (Design):*
Let me start off by saying that there are several elements where I think the designers did a pretty good job at. First and foremost, the interior design looks nice as a simple yet pretty functional layout. A little bland on minor occasions, but still nice as it is. Additionally, I can't deny that the work they've done with most of the materials and fit-and-finish is quite rewarding. Coming out with simple creative ideas that all-in-all gives it a modern vibe to it.
..but then, there comes the new Accord's elephant in the room.... the exterior proportions, and the whole exterior design....
...ohhh my-..... ahh god, my.... dude... I-... I think JonTron said it best here:
["Oh.... OH, a-are you serious? Is that something where someone who calls himself a professional artist/designer actually made and handed to their boss and the boss went: "Yeah that looks good, do that."......?????"]
My lord, where the hell do I even begin with this?
You sure do get your jiggly jollys off on copy and pasting the same thing everywhere don't you.
Opinions exist. Have fun getting blocked, fanboy.
@@thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 right, and as I've noted before, you have a hard time excepting other peoples. You'll probably go into a hilarious crazy rant again 😂🤣😂🤣 and start call people peice of shits and what not😂🤣😂🤣😂. "Have fun getting blocked" the fuck does that even mean kid?!
Center console is too wide. Likely to interfere with roadhead.
There's already data on adaptive cruise control and lane keep. They have no discernable safety impact.
Automatic breaking has a massive positive safety effect though.
Up next??? The Kia Optima SXL!! My 2017 is so comfy and advanced we're driving to Vegas instead of the 1 hr flight this Saturday!
One of the best cars on the market.
The front sensors are picking up the rear sensors of the car in front of you. I have the same car and finally figured out what was going on. Doesn't happen a lot but it's definitely annoying. Hopefully Honda can fix this.
You can change the sensitivity of the sensors.
Have this problem. Didnt know this was the issue and dealer couldn't replicate.
Nah man this one butter
That's actually an interesting theory.
Funny thing - during my test drive, the parking sensors went off twice in light traffic for no apparent reason. In almost a year of actually owning one, it's never happened.
great review, thanks+++ really like the Accord.
EXCELLENT VIDEO!
The old V6 and the new turbo have the same MPG. Plus turbos usually under perform the advertised fuel economy, so why do try turbo again??
Cut cost
gladdy02 plus turbo requires more care in long run and premium fuel
Whoever designed the front grill stood up half way, left and never finished his project. That’s the most horrible grill I’ve ever seen in my life. And I am a Lexus F Sport owner lol
LifeISMagix let's be honest. The whole team should be fired. It's hideous all around
I agree horrible design they went backwards on this one terrible.
New Avalon is worse. Literally looks like someone never even got started with a design.
Mike Spencer Only akward thing about the Avalon is the grille. Everything else on the exterior is well porpotined
LifeISMagix Ha! This was almost believable until you said you own a Toyota.
Scotty said that new engine won't be as dependable
You’re confusing the 2.0T with the 1.5T.
Love every single thing about this car, but I have to go with the manual not that the 10speed ain't good enough I like the 10speed but I like to feel more connected with my cars great review by the way.
I like my 2016 without all the buttons and dials on the main screen. It looks so much cleaner.
you can easily adjust the sensitivity of the sensors if they are going off a lot in traffic
This hits 60 in 5.5 seconds- same as my 2011 335 msport at same time it’s quieter and nicer inside - I’m trading it in for one
I used True Car for my Accord Sport 2.0. Paid $26500 after I put $1000 down. You can get crazy good deals on these cars. Do some research before walking into a dealer.
Dave O what state do you live in? No incentives in GA
AJ Lee South Carolina but I’ve also used True Car in California. Way less sales tax in SC tho :)
Dave O I’m not far from SC. Will contact some dealers there. You got an excellent price. Great job!!
AJ Lee you can try plugging in different zip codes into True Car and see what you get. Maybe no dealers in your area have agreements with True Car?
1990s: fuck YEAH we're doing factory turbos for EVERYTHING
2000s: nah NA everything
2013+:fuck YEAH we're doing factory turbos for EVERYTHING
excellant video .... very comprehensive ... one detail I am curious about is the noise level @ highway speeds / interstate speeds ??? as a potential buyer I would appreciate your feedback on this aspect... thank you
"You might confuse it with a BMW or an Audi"....1 thing not too be confused with. Reliability over the Germans.
I didn't like it at first but it's growing on me.
It doesn’t look attractive anymore it’s ugly imo but love the way they did led standard and that beautiful 8” screen!
Hideous design
LEDs should’ve been only for the 2.0T models
Lexus new front grill is ugly...new accord is ugly...blah blah blah. Then why r u they everywhere on the road?
FeFE was the first song on the list hahahaaa..👌👌
"You might confuse it with a BMW or an Audi... if you're blind."
zionsimas lol I was confuse too when he said that not sure what he is looking at.
zionsimas audis and bmws are uglier
Chrysler 200 or Chevy Malibu maybe
Literally paused the video and scrolled down to say this
You would certainly be surprised by what it is if you see it at night with its headlight decorations.
Love this!! Can you guys review the hybrid accord?
We put in a request to get one.
you guys are the best!
Car look so damn good in style design and its looks..
Great review; I think you covered all the bases. This might be the car to get :)
Was this available in any Right hand drive countries? Wasn't sold in the UK and doesn't seem like they were sold in Japan or Australia either :(
Do you have to put the car into econ mode to soften the dampers???
That is the best sedan EVER !
Is it the same kind of leather from the older models?
Great review. Thx
