Really love the quality of the Belltech products im using the Nitro Drop 2 on my D21 front/rear and they do wonders on the road alot smoother than the OE shocks. Great Video! Awesome process on the how to

@@FlakeGarage I also heard some good and bad stuff but from my perspective they perform pretty good for my taste as even when I lowered it in the rear with 3 inch blocks and reinfect my bars up front with beebani custom upper control arms. But the true test is when I get the drop spindles in.
I made sure the lower angle on the block is facing front. But the drive shaft is straight now, but it looks like there’s to much pressure on the drive shaft causing it to grind
I’d try loosening your u bolts, and make sure everything is good and even, then retighten your bolts evenly. Not sure what is causing your grinding. Check bolts on the driveshaft too make sure nothing is loose

Did you have to do anything with the driveshaft? I installed my rear while watching this video and now the driveshaft grinds on the transmission. Infamous nissan has a thread saying the driveshaft needs to be shortened .5" did you come across this issue?
How big are the blocks you put in? This issue is only once you go above 3" blocks and you also have to make sure you get angled blocks if you are doing 3+ inches, if they aren't angled then you'll have grinding or if they are installed angled the wrong way, you'll have grinding too
I think a block is easier to do and can get you down quick about 3 or 4" Anything more than 4" you need to do in combination with other things like the leaf so it can stay comfortable

Did you tighten up the side that it’s already in? We recommend getting one side in and just hand tight the bolts so you have space to move it around if needed. Inspect the block and make sure it fits into the leaf spring nub, then take it out and make sure it fits into the axle hole. Depending on condition you might wanna scrub but of them to get rid of any rust or dirt that might be blocking both sides from going into each other

The shock kit you linked/used would it work for a hardbody that's on 4 inch blocks and 3 inch drop in the bottom? Or does it specifically have to be 3 inch blocks to use the kit? Thank you
Just followed this tutorial and mostly went with well, until making space between the leaf springs and axel. There’s a bolt keeping the leaf springs together that I don’t see on the model in this video. I can undo the nut which drops off the leafs but no access to the bolt from the top, so no room for the block unless I cut the bolt… my model is Australian so could that be it? Any advice would be appreciated and great video
Not sure what bolt you are referring to. At 9:05 we talk about the only bolt on the leaf spring and how the block sits on top of the leafs above the bolt that holds the leafs together and below the axle. Those should be the only things in the way and you should not cut the leaf bolt that holds them together. If there is another bolt, it might be an Australian thing we are not aware of
For this size block is usually not an issue but you can get angled blocks specially if you are going past 3 inches and it'll help with the pinion angle

We removed the completely and it hasn’t been an issue at all so far. A lot of people cut the bump stop in half and put it back into have something just in case. We don’t haul anything on the back so hasn’t matter so far
Nothing bad really. If your stock shocks are in good condition you can definitely use them. You might just wear them out faster. We recommend the new shocks if you are already doing the job, might as well do everything in one go instead of coming back later to swap just the shocks
Any block bigger than 3" you should definitely be using taper blocks. I'm not super familiar with the Frontier but if the frame is similar to the D21, then I'd think those blocks should work perfect on it
I did the bell tech 4’ blocks and now my drive shaft needs to be adjusted it’s hitting something I don’t wanna deal with it so I’m going to buy 3’ blocks

We have a couple links in the description of the video to blocks. You can use universal 3" blocks on the rear. If you are going with a 4+ lowering block, make sure you are getting angled blocks to keep the right position on the driveshaft

Have you guys relocated the leaf spring front mount bolts on this truck and cut off the excess? Lot of vids saying it drops it about an 1”-1.5”!? I bought my truck with lowering blocks installed already but seriously need to relocate those front bolts, and prob having to run shorter blocks (to keep that pinion angle correct). Thoughts? Thanks.
We haven’t done any bolt mods to the leaf spring. What size blocks are you running? Are they angle? Anything bigger than a 3 inch should really be angled to help with the pinion angle
I believe their 3” blocks but I added a 3’ pinion shim. Had to change the carrier bearing right out the gate. The issue I have now is I’m bottoming out on the front leaf spring mount. I wanna do that relocation mod, and shave the mounts down but another 1.5” drop plus the 3”!? Thinking I’ll have to change to smaller blocks to do so!?
You most likely will have to change to a smaller block if you want to keep the current stance/drop otherwise your truck will sit a lot lower or you might have to mess with the torsion bars to level it out on the front. Unfortunately we haven’t done any leaf bolt mod so I can’t help you with that part at the moment
I don’t see why people would do this I got a truck like that as a part of a trade I hate how low it is you feel everything. And it’s super bumpy I thought the truck was breaking until I realized this is compression the shit so it can’t absorb the road
Riding low is not for everyone and if the previous owner lowered the truck the cheap way, then the ride will be 10x worse. Any ride will be affected by lowering or raising regardless of the car. This truck rides like stock if not slightly better with the new center of gravity and quality components but any lower than this 2/3 drop the ride will suffer more and more the lower you go

The angle should be towards the front. Make sure you didn’t put the higher end towards the front and that both of them are right

What if the plate between the diff and under the top part of u bolts doesn’t fit right? Like one side is off and one Side is on
Like the block? Something might be off or if you bolted one side before the other one, it might be crooked making it not fit

The slope should be towards the front of the truck. So smaller side towards the front and taller side towards the rear

You can use your regular shocks if you don't want to get new ones. They should work the same

Are the back shocks the same size as the stock shocks or the bell tech shocks different?
They are shorter than stock to accommodate for the drop and they are definitely thicker and have a better rebound rate

The truck is not that low but it’s always a possibility. Lowering is not for everyone so I’d think about the prons/cons and decide if it’s for you

Yes, they’ll fit all the way down to 84 models according to the belltech website
